They had us booked into a room with twin beds. We were expecting a single Queen size deluxe room. What we got was not deluxe by any stretch of the imagination. The tub faucet ran all night, the shower handle crept up to scalding hot and the showerhead sprayed everywhere except at the person showering. The carpets were unvacuumed and covered with cigarette burns. The sheets had holes in the and there was no blanket to speak of. The mattress was beat to death. The room did not resemble the one pictured on their website.

Customer service was terrible. There was always a line at the front desk, and the staff seemed in no hurry to provide service. The room that I booked was not available so I was given the choice between a smoking room or a room with 2 queens vice 1 king bed. I had to go through the line a second time to put down my credit card for incidentals-- it would have been nice to have been given that option the first time. The luxury GO room was nice, but lacked a few things: It had a coffee machine but no coffee or coffee pot; a sound system for iPods, but no cord to actually connect an iPod. I normally would have asked the front desk, but it was too much of an inconvenience to deal with them.

The hotel lobby and casino are very nice and the location was great! The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The room we had was not so great. The beds were a bit hard, the carpet was stained, and the toilet paper holder was pulled out from the wall. The room was clean, but in need of refurbishing. Not bad for the money though, and like I said, a great location.

Hotel is well located on the Strip - we received upgraded room, but room - even though it was in the "new" building did not meet hotel standards one would expect for one of their top rooms - main issue was the smoking "optional" on the top floors where the suites and best Go Rooms were located. Room service wad did no exist and no bell hop service. It took over 1 hour to check in - even with reservations made over a month in advance. The hotel's layout was not clear for 1st time visitors and wasted a lot of time looking for things.

We spent a few nights in the hotel and when we arrived there was hair still on the bathroom floor and the "non" smoking room smelled like smoke. There was no vent in the bathroom and the fake cabinets were badley chipped and scuffed. A nice paint job would of made it so much nicer. The furniture in the rooms were badley stained. The bed was hard as a rock and not comfortable to sleep on. The hallway was trashed. French fries from the night before that still had not been picked up had been left all over the hallway. Needless to say, we probably will not stay here again.

The Flamingo has set the standard for Vegas for years and still does. It is a great hotel and you can get great deals on sunday through thursday. It not as fancy as the new upscale hotels that have gone up but still is everything you need in a hotel. For a big hotel it still adds the personal touch. The rooms are great with floor to ceiling windows. Not a bad view in the hotel. The inner court is about as nice as anywhere including the pool area at the Wynn which is the high point of Vegas. The down side is that the walls are pretty thin, so just hope you have quiet neighbors, The maintenance has been cut and they need to do some serious carpet cleaning especially in the hall ways. I had a non smoking room but the sheet clearly had a cigarette hole in it.

It was appaling to allow 20 to 30 people to wait in long line while only 2 clerks were available for check in. Many of these travelers have had a very long day at this point and need their room fast. It is the first impression of the hotel and creates a negative feeling that tends to stay for the entire visit. Very bad way to manage the hotel

Rooms were booked together; one wasn't ready; and a 'comparable' room was not substituted.... when we complained, they told us we should have done so sooner - after we had to wait 30 minutes to speak to a Manager. Room was not all that clean, A/C ran almost continually, toilet ran non-stop, light bulbs needed replacement, bathroom amenities (soap dish, etc.) were missing. Location was good, but not worth the sloppy living conditions.

I was not impressed with our room or the service that the staff at the flamingo provided. Most times the housekeeping staff would knock once and come right in and when asked for a Do Not Disturb sign they stated they didn't have those at the hotel. There was always open doors to the service elevator, linen closets, carts and dirty dishes in the halls each day we were there. Also inside the casino we were harrassed for ID's each time we stopped to get a drink even though we were only getting pop or water. At one point the bartender was extremely rude and rolled his eyes right in front of us when we came up to the bar. Needless to say we didn't frequent the casino in The Flamingo very often because of this reason! Though it was a holiday (Halloween) weekend I was under the impression that service would be wonderful regardless. I wouldn't stay here again when i go back to Vegas that's for sure!
