"Good hotel and staff, poor clientelle"
It was ok. The hotel staff at all levels was great. From check in to the casino floor and housekeeping, everyone was friendly, professional, and top notch. I'm also a neat freak and the rooms were amazingly clean... impressive. However, since they added in the Margaritaville casino and Carlos N Charlies, the clientelle has become very low class, hillbilly. […] The walls in the rooms were paper thin so I could hear the people on both sides day and night, but that probably would not have been an issue if they were people that had stayed in hotels before. "surprised and not in a pleasant way"
cannot believe how rundown the flamingo has become. the carpeted hallways were stretched out to the point you could trip and the carpets were filthy. there were water stains on all the painted surfaces in the bathroom. room was not carpeted. the floor was a laminate type flooring. the hotel charged us $20 early check-in fee and $28 resort fee-more than […] cost of the room. would never stay there again. My husband and I have stayed at the Flamingo I. The past because we like the location of the central strip so the overall condition and dated decor was no surprise to us. However, we we arrived and check in was now 4 pm, we were a bit frustrated but even more disappointed when at 4:15 the reservation clerk told us the room would be ready between 4-6pm […] which ws ridiculous. However, the worst part about our ️stay was all night long the room next to us had music and the TV blasting and we called to complain and nothing was done. "View was great, on 24th floor facing the Strip,"
Our room was just what we wanted. But we had a couple of lights that did not work in the bathroom. When we checked in at 4pm, we asked for adjoining rooms or rooms near each other. The clerk did not even try. She said those rooms are all taken, but your other room is directly above this one. It was not so. It was on the next floor but faced a different […] direction. Our biggest complaint was all the coffee shops were closed. We like to eat in those type of restaurants as they are usually faster to get into and out. They did not have the buffet open, so we could not eat there. We had to walk to a restaurant 2 casinos away to get bad meal. My biggest complaint is regarding lack of places to eat a decent meal. We started staying at the Flamingo due to the fact, they had several places to eat a nice meal and the rooms were larger than most. The rooms are still a good value. Love the Flamingo. Super fun stay every time. The location is perfect!! I love all the new updates to the rooms. The only thing I can think of is that our room did not have a "Do not Disturb sign and I think our cleaning lady at the rooms alarm clock to buzz at 8 am in day....it was startlingly and NOT nice but they probably are told to do it so people […] wake up early enough to check out on time. I was given a great location with a great view, top floor facing the Las Vegas Strip-Caesar's Palace; but, when I entered the room, I walked into a room that was not touched since the previous guest. "Flamingo in Febuary"
Was here for a small convention located in the hotel. They accommodated all the needs for the convention. The hotel itself is getting a bit old and you can see that, a bit of a worn look and some pretty beat up carpet in some of the hallways. We thought we were getting a good deal because we stayed in the executive floor (which is the top floor) but it rained that day and all down the hallway the ceiling was leaking, the view window next to the Habitation elevators on the same floor had rags on the bottom as well as basins to catch the water coming inside. On our last night we got to our room late evening to start packing and none of the lights in the room were working, I called the front desk and they were to send housekeeping to take care of the problem, 30 minutes later no one had shown. As I work hospitality industry I feel qualified to say this is the worst service I have ever received. Starting w/valet to the front desk mngr. The only bright spot was the Bellmen. Booking weeks in advance w/special needs for a family member confirmed not met. The carpet was a hazard for a person w/walker. The shower dripped and the curtain too short, […] water everywhere. First time I've ever been charged a fee for checking in a few hours early. Room was ready, so why the fee? Hotel restaurant was closed during the entire stay, and the buffet was not available at night, so we had to go out of the hotel for dinner each night. Our room was very dirty with hair all over the bathroom floor and hair from someone's head stuck to the shower walls and the bathroom ceiling. The room in general was very decrepit and was dated with damaged furniture and rust stains running down the walls in the bathroom from the aging light fixtures. The wall paper was also peeling off. We were lead to believe the rooms were remodeled. While some parts of the room were, the bathroom was disgusting!
