My wife and I stayed for 3 nights with friends and had a great time. The only downfalls on the resort were the additional fees.....$30 a day resort fee and $27 self park or $33 a day to velet. To rent a beach chair by the ocean it's $15 a day and $29 a day for an umbrella. One would think the resort fee would cover it but it does not. There is an ABC […] store on the property where you can buy anything from food to alcohol to gifts that's really cheap. Besides the little extra money I was not expecting, the resort was great from the views to the food/shopping choices. I would return and stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place. Not happy at all with a $30 charge for Internet service. For the price per night this should have been included.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our stay very much. When we had a problem with the wall safe, security came right away and fixed the problem to our satisfaction. the restaurants were very expensive and also they charged $62- for rental of 2 beach chairs and one umbrella for one day. Overall we had a great time at this resort and I would not hesitate to tell our friends […] to spend their vacation at this resort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hilton Hawaiian Village has a lot to offer within it's compound. The beach is right there along with shopping and eateries. I think the best part of the location is the safety and security provided in the area. The HHV is located in family friendly portion of Waikiki and is a little more quieter, less packed than other areas down the way.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and this was the perfect place, the room was big, comfy and so clean. We loved that the beach was just there and the shops were so close. I must say the staff were all so friendly. My only wee complain was that every night there was three taxes and the resort fee so I wasn't that happy about that. But overall lovely […] place. Hilton Hotel via in their Hawaiian village did not have adequate food---restaurants for breakfast, especially. You could go to the local Starbucks and get a breakfast sandwich and coffee for $12, such a poor deal. Parking of cars, $27 per day. Nothing but a tourist trap and I will not forget to tell everyone I can, a good place to avoid. The beach "Waikiki" […] has been ruined by their and other hotel development. Hawaii, the island of Oahu, and Waikiki beach is a PARADISE LOST. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location in central Waikiki"
It was god bout remember you're I'm the middle of Waikiki, so all services rendered are a little more expensive than what you're used to...nice you get used to that, you'll be fine. I as weird that there was a service fee that covered a lot of things, but you were still excluded from some things around the hotel...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Loved the beach!"
We stayed our last day in Oahu. The beach was beautiful and it was fun watching the surfers. Our room had a great view and was quiet and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good vacation but expensive"
Georgeous hotel! Staff was helpful at check-in, but very busy during the weekend. Waited about 30 minutes to check in. Pool was nice and towels are provided. Beach is clean and just steps from the hotel. I stayed in the rainbow tower and would have chosen nothing else and would recommend nothing else. Food was very expensive on the resort and it traps […] you in thinking there isn't anything else off the resort but there is! Breakfast is outrageous. Don't forget out the resort fee as it was another 225 dollars when we got there. Room was always cleaned early. Drinks were also very expensive one drink was 11 dollars. "Overcrowded, old stinky rooms"
The lobby was under construction, check in line tool 30 minutes. Grounds were ok but room was old, outdated, stinky, dirty carpets. Even though we liked the Tropics restaurant where they had live band every night, we would never stay there again because of the room condition.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic hotel you can never missed"
The hotel is so beautiful and right in front of the ocean. Especially the bed is so soft, I personally has sleeping problem, but their bed is so soft I felt asleep right away. I love the hotel. The only thing I give 4 star rather than 5, is the hidden fee, there is tax by the time I booked it through Expedia, but I still need to pay room tax, resort […] fee, and general exercise fee, that is the only thing I don't like, other than that, it is perfect hotel Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"good if you like the city"
The hotel itself is very nice. Rooms are quiet. Bed was too soft. Staff is very helpful and efficient. Property is big and feels very public. It would be better to have luggage storage in main building since that is where most people get transported from instead of tower that is more than half way across the property. Pool area is not kept very clean. […] Breakfast is $30 pp. Resort fee is ridiculous since you get virtually nothing from it. Next trip we will skip Oahu since we prefer a quiet area. This was absolutely the best Hilton Resort I have ever stayed at!!! There was absolutely nothing negative to report. Beautiful rooms and resort. The staff was very friendly and anxious to please. The shops were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this resort to everyone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Our family of 4 visited HHV in August 2013. The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and we received great service everywhere we went within the resort. There are an abundance of restaurants, shops and activities all contained within the resort. Our girls enjoyed being able to rent kayaks and paddle in the lagoon. Accomodations at the Diamond […] Head tower, while not the most luxurious I have encountered and a bit outdated, were pleasant and our view of the ocean was amazing. One has to keep in mind that this is noted as being the 17th largest hotel in the world-which means this is a busy place! There are a lot of people at all hours of the day. This made it difficult to find a chair by the pool at both the Super Pool and the Paradise pool. And the Starbucks frequently ran out of pastries by 9:30am. If there was a drawback, this would be it, but at the same time, given how large the resort is, it is to be expected. The hotel is truly located on the beach-and the beach is a nice wide stretch. This was definitely a bonus. We came home tanned, relaxed and refreshed-so all in all-it was a great vacation and the Hilton Hawaiian Village was a great choice for our family. "Too Crowded and expensive."
Go somewhere else. First of all, if you book through expedia, you will not get any points for your hotel stay. Since we were here 11 nights, I found this disappointing. When I tried to book something through the concierge, they could only book things going on at the hotel. Then they wrap you into how they can get you points by going to a 2 hour timeshare […] presentation. Like I want to do that on vacation. I want to concentrate on the vacation I'm on, not if I may come back! Also, all of the pools were so crowded that you could NEVER get a pool chair! We found one chair once for our entire family of 4. It's so crowded. the lagoon smells bad too. It's very expensive and just not worth staying there. I would stay somewhere else where you can get points at the hotel like the holiday inn. It's over a half mile walk to Waikiki, you wouldn't want to walk it with your kids. They charge $35 a day for a resort fee and they charge $30 a day for self parking. If you do stay here, get a monthly pass at the parking lot across the street! It's way cheaper! Also, go to safeway and buy breakfast food and lunch food to save money. "Very nice hotel. Short walk to beach and lagoon."
This was my first time visiting Hawaii and this hotel. I found the hotel to be very nice as there were lots of food, shopping, and the beach nearby. The beach and lagoon were a short walk from my room in the Kalia Tower. The lagoon (upper 70s F) was nice for the kids, but the water was colder compared to the beach (82 F). The sand at the lagoon was […] course and the beach had areas with large bits of broken coral which are hard to walk on. On the second day we found an area near the dock that had much less broken coral and was much nicer to wade into for me and the kids. The ocean waves were about 1-2 feet during our stay which is great for my small children. There are lots of pools on the hotel property too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Our stay in this hotel was from August nineteenth till the twenty-ninth and those were some of my best days ever lived! We went to the island of Oahu and stayed in this hotel and the service here is great! Our tower was The Rainbow Tower and we were on the Twenty-third floor. We had an amazing view of the city, Waikiki beach and the pools. I recommend […] this hotel to everyone! The staff here are very kind and since it's one of the major hotels when going on tours the shuttles pick you up right at your hotel, to be specific, the Tapa Tower. "The best place to stay if u wanna have fun fun fun"
Me & my boyfriend had a great time last week@ the HHV. They have alot of different rooms you can choose from & many activities going on. It would be a good place to bring kids. Maybe not little Tiny one's because this place is huge & there is allot of walking so having small kids would be demanding. (At least to me but I have no kids)it can be overwhelming. […] When you first come here but then you get used to things. We stayed in the Rainbow tower right on the the beach. The best one in my opinion. There are many shops/restaurants here too. Alot of them are expensive but not all. We only ate at a few places. They were ok but pricey. We had the best meals off of the resort. There are place right across the street and so on. They have the best Beach here. It is the widest part here and just too pretty. It is rocky in spots. We brought water shoes. Some spots are not rocky u have to explore the wholeBeach. This is a very busy place with many people. Not your quiet place. They play live music and have fire works show.I found it entertaining. There are many different kinds of people And it is very interesting. The parking garage can get crazy. Parking is annoying around the whole place Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Very comfortable room and clean"
I enjoyed my 7 day stay at the Waikiki Beach Resort. The room was very comfortable and clean. Great quick access to the hotel pool and the beach. That was the best part. The restaurants around the village were pretty pricey for convenience. You can definitely find better priced restaurants outside the village. A great place for family.Genuine Expedia guest review

"A little bit of paradise"
My husband and I always stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We like the fact we don't have to leave the resort to eat or shop for fun things. The room was spotless. "Fantastic for a romantic vacation"
I loved this hotel. It's pricey, and there seems to be hidden fees all over the place for this stay, but I came to Hawaii knowing I was going to have to fork over some cash. This place was the best place we stayed at by far compared to two other ocean-side hotels just a walk away. The room was very modern, clean, and comfortable. My girlfriend saw the […] bathroom and right away said, "this mirror is wonderful!" (it had lights surrounding the whole thing). Services were great, and vary from yoga lessons to surf lessons. I don't think they missed one single hotel amenity, being that there's a business center and post office on campus, and everything else you can think of including day care. I highly recommend this hotel, highly recommend the ocean-side view from the Rainbow Tower, and I really enjoyed my stay. I was just surprised how many people were at this place given the cost. Sometimes it felt crowded, but we felt like we had privacy and seclusion when we were in the room. Wonderful stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort"
This place was good, however there are a few things that would have been better. First the place is like a giant one stop shop for vacation. There are tons of shops for people to buy things which was great. You don't have to go far to find gifts for friends and family. The dinning options are limited, although they advertise many places to eat they […] are limited or have crazy rules. The Tropics Bar and Grill was by far the best, but sit at the bar you'll get service faster and they offer the whole menu. At one point it was a two hour wait to get a table. My biggest issue with this place was the extra walking you have to do to get to some places. To get to the main lobby you have to circle around several pods which most people stop to look at. That's all good, but when you're in a rush its annoying to have to walk around the pods and people. The best thing was the access to the beach. Its right outside the elevator if you stay in the rainbow tower. Overall its a great place and would go again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Last night in Hawaii"
Hilton Hawaiian Village keeps building towers and not pools, was unable to get a chair at the pool or the beach. I was also going to be charged $60 total for 2 uncushioned chairs and a small umbrella. After leaving the Grand Hyatt and Grand Wailea where wonderful lounging chairs were provided it was a disappointment. Also elevators were packed.Genuine Expedia guest review
