Expedia's Conformation/Itinerary # does not coordinate with Hilton reference # Hilton can not look up Expedia's Conformation/Itinerary # it is useless and delays check-in because of this! "Not impressed but it was okay"
The room we booked online had a tub in the description but the room we were given only had a stand up shower. The room was a bit more "dated" than what we expected. The grounds were lovely as was the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. However, many parents let their young children run a muck in the Jacuzzi without supervision and the sound of their squeals and […] screams reverberates off the walls terribly ruining the ambiance - not necessarily the hotels fault. They do have signs posted saying no unattended children etc. The breakfast buffet was adequate at best. What really ruined the experience for my husband and I was the terrible service we received from the night manager. He was totally disinterested in my needs when I called to the front desk in the evening requesting toiletries. He said he would have someone at my door in 10 minutes. When I called again 30 minutes later to inquire he got a very sour attitude and let me know I was low on his list of priorities. My room was very comfortable, although I missed having a good sized vanity in the bathroom to spread out my toiletries. I had booked a room with a king bed , the room they gave us was a handicapped equipped room , the bathroom had the bars all over and a pedestal sink with no vanity to put your things. I called down stairs to ask why we were put in this room and was told that was all they had left??? I didn't understand this since I had booked four weeks prior wouldn't […] they have saved a room for us? When I asked to be moved she told me all they had left were two queens bed rooms. I said that's fine , but why didn't you mention this when we checked in to see if we wanted that handicapped room? Then we were moved down to the queen room in which both of the beds (we tried them both) were like bowls in the middle and my husband woke up with a back ache everyday. The worst part was the noise, people walking down the hallways at ALL hours of the night.....people on both sides of us opening and slamming the doors over and over during the middle of the night. Front desk gal initially checked me in had been super friendlyfriendly. When I arrived to the assigned room. Its was the last room of hall/ by the stairwell/ an a joining room. Didn't feel safe. I stayed here for a business conference at a nearby hotel (Gaylord). I choose this hotel because they adversed courtesy shuttle & out of loyalty to Hilton brand. With all the other resorts in the neighborhood, this was a very nice find for the price - we stayed here 2 nights for much less than 1 night costs at surrounding resorts. The outside area was very fun to explore, but we will have to come back in warmer weather to make use of all it had to offer. "The most disappointing Hilton ever!"
I've stayed in Hiltons across the country and this one was by far the worst. When I first arrived, the staff member who checked me in my room assume made an insulting assumption about whether or not I could afford to place the room charges on my debit card. Then I returned to the hotel on the second night and when I arrived on my floor, I was greeted […] by the stench of sewage. When I called for maintenance, they came in, said they could smell it and that it probably is the result of some pipes they cleaned earlier in the day. Then he encouraged me to put towels under my door to keep the smell from coming into my room. The brick floors in the lobby leading to the east tower were buckling in some areas and my elderly boss tripped and almost fell.
