Attended a conference at the L.A. Convention Center. $10 cab ride - too far to walk. Quiet and very comfortable room. Great staff very attentive. I would definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

"front desk help was the greatest (Lisa and Maria)"
Just loved the accessibility of everything. We did eat in the restaurant for breakfast the day of our departure and the food and service was great. The bartender (Moisus) was always welcoming and prompt with a drink.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel distroyed by bad management"
I grew up in LA. I remember when they first built this hotel. It was considered the very best of it's kind. It's very sad what they did to it. The graffiti etched into the elevator says it all. The staff is doing the best they could with what they are provided. I have no complaints about them. I asked for a suite for me, my wife and 3 kids. I got a […] room with 2 full, no sofa bed, no high back chair and a rusty bath tub that drains very slowly. You need to seriously re-consider what you call a suite. No breakfast or happy hour, which I would expect for what you charge. $30 a night for parking is highway robbery. There's a lot across the street for $5. What happened to the Koi in the Japanese garden? It's in all your promos but not in the pond itself. Internet is so slow it took forever to print a map from Google. I will not be coming back and definitely will not recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stay at Hilton Double Tree Hotel in June 2013"
My overall stay at the Hilton Double Tree was good. When I arrived at the Hotel, the Front Desk Represenative on duty placed us in a Corner Room with a King Size Bed. The room was entirely too small for two people and he knew two people was staying in the room. I had to request another room that had much more space in it. Additionally, the bathroom […] has been nicely renovated but there is limited racks for towels and wash cloth. The overall facility was clean, nicely decorated and the staff was friendly. I thought parking was expensive $37.00 per day but I guess this is normal for this area. The breakfast buffet brunch was excellent. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic location for my event"
A bit of a surprise to be charged for parking, but I guess this is downtown LA, that should have been expected. I should consider myself lucky I even GOT a parking space.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel by Little Tokyo"
Pros: Nice/clean room with Crabtree & Evelyn amenities Right above/next to the heart of Little Tokyo, super convenient Great location in downtown LA Cons: $30/night for parking, $36 for valet (we had two cars, and stayed for two nights) Parking structure was difficult to find $10/hour for wifiGenuine Expedia guest review
good place to stay for few daysGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Our only complaint was the pounding rock music in the japanese garden - that does not go well with the ambiance - also, some more comfortable chairs would be great - .Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel staff was not helpful"
We were given a room that overlooked the Japanese garden. While the view was nice, the music that played from speakers in the garden was very loud. I called down to report it to the staff to see if they could turn it off, they said they didn't have any events going on and they would send security to check out the music. Nothing happened after my call. […] My husband went to the garden to see if in fact the music was coming from there and discovered large speakers in the garden. Why your staff didn't know this is not good. The music was playing after midnight, when we were trying to sleep and was on at 6:00 am, which woke me up. It may have been on all night. When we mentioned this to the front desk the next morning, they confirmed that people had complained before about the music. I don't understand why nothing was do e to correct the problem. Music should be off from at least 10:00 pm -9:00am. This made our entire stay very unpleasant. We did not sleep very well at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

i read a lot of bad reviews so i was a bit worried when i checked in, but it really isn't that bad. the room was very clean, and there was also a small fridge you could use. a perk would be their blowdryer, which actually was really nice.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall over good, but Saturday breakfast service was very slow. Maybe for the buffet they can just put out the coffee pot for self serve instead of having to wait. Room was great, nice comfy bed. Beautiful Japanese garden, close to some nice restaurant in little Tokyo.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Doormen greeted us at the check-in out front, offering (asking first!) to bring cookies out to our kids. Overall wonderful customer service. Standard rooms, no issues, other than the bathroom sinks being too high for our small kids to use. Hotel caters to business types, I realize (no pool), but we wanted the location (close to the 101/Dodger Stadium). […] Got an all-inclusive package, which negated the expensive parking, internet, and breakfast fees (fantastic buffet). Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is conveniently located close to Little Tokyo and has easy access to other Los Angeles attractions. We reserved two rooms and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had them close together. If you have a car the only complaint is the parking was rather steep at $30 per day when there is a parking lot across the street at $10 all day […] on the weekends. Overall I'd stay there again. Not at all a four or three star hotel. Refer was not working. Felt like a motel 6. First room was so dirty I asked to be moved. The only thing good was me getting the package deal. Parking would of been $36 a night. Good for a business trip or wanting to stay at cheaper motel for the weekend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

The restaurant was nice and the hotel was top notch. It wasn't walking distance to the downtown restaurants as we expected and it really isn't close to USC as advertised. I would stay there again, but prepared to drive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Very good hotel and staff. The chauffeur service within 3 miles of the hotel was great. The hotel is located downtown, but its not a good area especially at night.Genuine Expedia guest review

I stayed here for one night because my friends had their wedding here. The hotel and the room was nice. It was also very easy to check out. It would have been better if there were vending machines on the floors where guests stay. The parking was very expensive, but that's probably true for all the hotels in this area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very confortable, but a little pricey."
- Rooms are very comfortable and have great views. - The staff is very polite and helpful. - You get a free cookie in the check in! =D - Great location. - For the rate you pay, wifi could be included, and it is also a bit confusing to use more than 1 device at the same time. - Parking is kinda expensive. - The food served is good, but a little bit pricey, […] although they have a killer sandwich that you can order at your room only. - The shower is little bit confusing to use at first. we stayed overnight between our amtrak trains. great choice! downtown LA is not someplace to walk around after dark, but there are tons of taxis to take you the few blocks for a few bucks. Once you arrive at the hotel, the sense of complete safety is back. Very quiet rooms, with and super comfy beds. Can't wait to returnGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for the price"
I booked this hotel for a short vacation. I was surprised how clean and nice this double tree was. It was 20 minutes from everywhere i needed to go. My biggest pet peeve is usually unhappy staff that look like they dont want to be there. That wasnt the case at this location. Theywere extremely welcoming and helpful. The view of the rooftop garden was […] nice. Definately take some time to visit their lovely garden. My only complaint would be the loud pipes when using any water in the bathroom. I would definately stay here again. The pictures are what you see is what you get. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great for Business Or Leisure"
This trip to LA was for a conference near MacArthur Park. I chose to go without a car this time (yes, in Los Angeles!) and chose the Doubletree primarily based on its proximity to the MetroRail and as a full-service hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the bath remodeled and modern in design, bright, and with […] great water pressure in the shower. My view was over the Japanese rooftop garden, looking south over downtown. Shoji screens allow an extra layer of privacy and atmosphere. Front desk staff top notch, Starbucks part of the hotel complex. Excellent choices for dining out in Little Tokyo just a block to the east. I'd stay here again. "Fantastic Customer Service"
Every staff member I encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful! Seriously the best staff I've ever had at a hotel! The room was ok. It smelled like stale cigarette smoke every time the heat or AC kicked on. The room was roomy, the bathroom was pretty small. The shower dripped constantly. The cleaning service left quite a bit to be desired. One […] day when they cleaned the room they left the window open. We were on the 15th floor. So, it wasn't a safety issue. But, still left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. One day they left a wet towel & a pillow case on the night stand. Just not real good attention paid to the details. "Best value for a great location"
Fridge didn't work and was placed in a very random spot in the room. But that was the least of anything we looked for in this trip. Most other hotels any closer to downtown are priced higher and quality is not as good (unless you go full on 5-star, of course). This hotel has a large lobby, great bar set up, the best beds, with a Starbucks attached to […] the hotel. You leave the hotel and walk to the right for Alvera Street/Union Station (about 2 blocks), to the right and you're at Little Tokyo (about 2 blocks), and the Art District with some fun places to eat to are only about 1/2 mile away. The hotel is very nice, with an expansive lobby. parking in LA can get pricey and here is no exception, but even with the self park full they valet parked and only charged regular fee. be sure to let them know if your group only has one vehicle so you avoid parking charge to each room you occupy. just minutes from LA Live and Staples, easy access to […] freeway, and was a nice place to be aside many other Masquerade ravers! LA state historic park was also minutes away. We came, we stayed, we raved, we loved. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

We had arrived after driving 4 and a half hours a couple hours before check in time hoping we could do an early check in since we were all very tired. We wouldn't have minded paying for an early one but they notified us that they do not do early check in period so keep that in mind if you plan on staying here. We sat in the lobby for almost 2 hours […] until our room was finally "ready". The room was very clean but it was like walking into a sauna. We tried turning the air down but noticed that it didn't cool down. We left for the afternoon and evening and when we returned the room was still hot. (They did give waive the parking fee because of the issue which made us happy saving $36 which they charge for self parking) Other than the temperature, the room was very comfortable and we were overall content with our stay. Although a nice hotel, I'm unsure if I would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Came here for a night so I could see a concert, and I have no complaints. It was a place to rest my head for the night and it was what I needed. I would only recommend that the hotel not charge 30 dollars to park when you are a hotel guest, thats just ridiculous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place to stay."
Overall it was a nice place to stay. We we're in town just for the night to see a concert and didn't want to drive home after. Check in was easy, they gave us warm cookies which tasted just as good as they smelled. The room was nice, big and comfy. It even had a walk in closet, the TV was at an odd angle, but no big deal. The location was great only […] about a $10-$12 taxi ride to our venue. Coming back late at night or even waking up I would have liked more options to grab a bite to eat other then Starbucks or their restaurant. We settled for Starbucks and did not try the restaurant. With that said, it was a very nice place to stay. I would recommend it if you need to be in that area of downtown LA. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Customer service was outstanding from the moment we arrived. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Our room was VERY clean and the bed super comfy. The only issues we encountered were: we discovered only one coffee cup with the coffee maker our first morning - BIG DEAL WHO CARES; and it would have been nice to have access to vending machines for […] late nite snacks. I would highly recommend this hotel if you're attending an event at the Nokia Theater or Staples Center as its within a close proximity that makes for a short cab ride. "$30 parking per day"
Good location, as other reviews indicated, right next to Little Tokyo, close to downtown and China Town as well. Room is a bit small but OK. Giving 3 stars for its $30 parking per day even for hotel guest. I think this is a little ridiculous. Other hotels are doing the same thing probably, just to be fair. Make sure you budget this.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Best Hotel in downtown LA"
I stay in LA at least twice a month and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I love the staff: including the valets & waitpersons. Fluffy pillows, exceedingly clean, great showers. Orlando the front desk supervisor is awesome.Genuine Expedia guest review
