Literally less than a block away if you want the high-end bars and clubs. A bit away from everywhere else, but probably good for business

Probably best as a business hotel, but good location, clean spacious rooms, nice complementary toiletries and a minibar which we used as a fridge for our own drinks. Breakfast was a very generous and varied buffet, but marred by poor service of coffee, which was cold 2 of the 3 days we were there.

We arrived early so it took bout two hours to get a room, and we found that we had an audience watching us at reception. That was the only bad part of the stay. Other than that, the hotel room was really nice, but the internet was really bad and slow. Staff was very helpful. Didnt go for dinner in the hotel, but it is in a good location of the city and i would recommend it to anyone going to milan.

It's bland concrete facade notwithstanding, nor surprising, I was impressed upon entering the spacious lobby of Atahotel Executive, my partner and I abetted by a friendly porter. Though somewhat gaudy, it was never the less very cozy and a nice welcome to the Atahotel Milan. The room, a double, or matrimoniale, was a good size, as was the bed, and three oil painted landscapes impressively framed adorned the walls. The bathroom was immaculate and amply stocked. A multi-media service via the television provided local and European stations with news in English, as well as internet and a selection of movies in a range of languages including English. Our continental breakfast buffet, included in the price, kept us going well into the afternoon with everything from croissants and cakes, to cheese and chorizo. Service staff were prompt, attentive and friendly. However, dinner in the restaurant proved a disappointment, all panache and no substance and a good deal more expensive and less tasty than some locally based restaurants. Corso Como, the area in which the hotel is situated, is a trendy and pleasant environ on which to enjoy some card busting shopping and a nice meal or coffee. The local metro stop and the Porta Garibaldi train station, second in Milan after the loftily constructed Statzione Centrale, are directly across the road from the hotel making it a very convenient base for both Milan and the northern lakes of Como and Garda.

out of value="10""clean and comfortable but with the most unhelpful reception staff ever"
Reviewed by S of London on Nov 16, 2008
Comfortable and modern rooms, standard and clean bathrooms – nothing to complain about in this respect. The only point to complain is the most unhelpful staff I’ve ever seen. While we stayed at the hotel, there was a strike of public transport workers. There was no info about it in the reception / restaurant area. We were checking out and asked about the trains. We were given times but no word said about the strike. When returned from the metro - which was closed - back to the hotel in search of other options, we asked about shuttles and other ways to get to the airport, they only offered their taxi services saying that shuttles were not going to the airport that day either - although it was not true!!. Generally, every time we went to the reception desk to ask something, we felt that we are disturbing them and they didn’t really reply to our questions properly. Apart from that it was ok. Beware that there is a lot of construction works in the area as well.

This hotel is located two sops away from the cetral station in Milan and is easy to get to (although there are some building works to improve the underground station and surrounding area - due to finish in the next few months) All the staff were very helpful and the rooms were great... very comfortable and clean; double glazing definately keeps out the road noise! Breakfast offered a very wide range of choices and would satisfy most people, including vegetarians. Good choce of restaurants in the area and not to long a walk to the Duomo and other attractons.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Nov 1, 2009
