The hotel is close to all attactions in venice. The hotel staff was very helpful and outgoing. The hotel's Wifi was spotty, and the rooms were to hot, the bed was very uncomfortable as were the pillows.

Lovely hotel, with romantic and decorative rooms. Wonderful service with free transportation and tour of glass factory offered. Great location as well, right near San Marco plaza with a lovely view of the lagoon. Superb food offered in the hotel restaurant, for lunch, dinner, and breakfast. My husband and I would certainly stay there again.

The hotel was great and the location was absolutely excellent; I honestly don't think the location could have been better. The hotel restaurant was a bit of a scam however; they claimed it was all fresh at the front desk, but the menu itself said things could be frozen. It appears to me that in actuality everything was frozen. My breaded cutlet was […] clearly reheated; it was dry that the ends had curled up on itself! Another patron complained in English about his fish not being fresh and they admitted to him that his meal was frozen. The meal was very expensive, and it was the worst meal I had on a three-week vacation. The hotel staff at the front desk was great and very nice, but bordering on too subservient. I loved almost everything in the hotel, the room we booked is a suite with a view, we were wowed with the decorations and the view, there was an annoying step which was virtually the only negative thing about the room. As for the staff, i would love to thank 2 of their staff for their recommendations and always smiling attitude, one was Hans, the other […] one i didnt get his name, was the youngest of all. There was also another staff who was very nice called Luigi, but i was disappointed with his restaurant recommendation, he directed us to a very expensive tourist trap!! Be sure to ask only Hans and the other young guy, ask for where they love to eat The location was just near everything important,so no worries there. The room was dark and unattractive. Rooms with canal views were more expensive and not available anyway. But the location was superb - just off San Marco square with three vaporetto stops within yards. The airport vaporetto stopped almost iimmediately in front of the hotel! The hotel staff was helpful and courteous.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Easy to walk to many attractions. We had a junior suite with a lagoon view. The view was great. The room had two doors which opened into a balcony. Great people watching from the room. At night there were motorized shades which you could put down. This made the room nice and dark and kept out the noise.

We arrived in Venice in the middle of a heat wave! As soon as we walked into the hotel we knew we were in trouble. The lobby was cooking and we were told the a/c had broken down and they were working on it. We had booked a lagoon view room that was spectacular, the view was out of a magazine my friends. The a/c was working but very, very weak. We soon […] realized that in the middle of the day (when it's hottest outside) we would have to keep all the shutters fully down otherwise the room would be above 90 degrees. Even with the shutters down it was 80 degrees. So we were losing the view we paid so much for and still not being cool. After three days of sweltering we filed an official complaint with Expedia and the hotel management. They offered to move us to an inside room where the a/c would be able to cool the room. We agreed, desperate to sleep at night - since we had paid for the lagoon view room they offered us a complimentary dinner and a complimentary taxi service to the airport (which we had to fight for). Anyway, the inside room was indeed cooler, the lobby got working after four days but it was never cool, just not boiling! Otherwise the hotel is wonderful, the staff is terrific and the view is out of this world. I would go back anytime, but never in the hot months of July and August! Read more

Not what we expected for a very expensive hotel. Room very stuffy and warm because airconditioning turned off until "summer". View was of the plaza & water but is spoiled by the major tourist congestion from the nearby St. Mark's Square. No bar Restaurant is essentially an open air ground level patio located on the walk way used by all the tour groups […] and hotel guests have no priority for seating. Hotel is very easy to find in a city were most hotels can be very difficult to locate because there are no roads. Very close to water bus stop. The location almost next door to St. Mark's Square is an advantage or disadvantage depending upon your desire to be near a major tourist magnet. After the first day I found it a disadvantage because of the congestion and noise from the crowds. Read more

Can't beat the location...waterfront (on boardwalk) & next to St. Marcs Square. Beautiful hotel, pic doesn't do it justice. Free wifi cards and free breakfast were a plus. New bathroom. Room was small, but clean and very nice. Water bus stop directly in front was perfect for trips to murano island and trips around the island.

After picking up luggage, get a water bus tickets (not water taxi) as the hotel is located feet from the San Zaccara stop on Alilaguna Linea Blu. Only hitch is the long walk from the air port to the water bus station. Hotel front desk personal are very friendly, helpful, and speak pretty good English. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, sausage, fruits, breads, […] cereals, sweets, juice, milk, tea, and coffee. All was very good and they pay attention to special dietary needs. Room and bath was very small but clean and met all of our wants and needs. We will definitly stay at this hotel if we can return to Venice. Only 2 blocks from St Marks and steps away from gondola ride. It is a little pricey but worth the extra $$$. What they say they provide on the internet description is true plus some. Read more

The staff at this hotel were extremely rude and unhelpful. In addition they are dishonest. There is absolutely NO customer service. There is no Wi-Fi and no english channels on their TVs. There were no english newspapers available. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are plenty of other good hotels in Venice.

We loved the location of this hotel. After a long trip across the ocean, it was great to step off the vaporetto and be in front of the hotel with only a short walk down the pier. If you're looking for a reasonable hotel, steps from San Marco Square, Hotel Savoia & Jolanda fits the bill. It is charming inside and the room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. However, if you're looking for a quiet, getaway, this is not the place. The restaurant is a tour group lunch and dinner stop since it is an outside terrace setup facing […] the lagoon and steps from all the tourist sights in Venice. The included breakfast was extensive, well presented and a good place to start the day. the only negative comment is the lack of WIFI connection in your room and the realization that to use WIFI in the lobby required a purchased internet card which was very iinconvenient and public. The hotel bills itself as having WIFI in the rooms, but don't believe it. The reception was not possible except in the lobby. Read more

We just returned from our stay in Veniece. The hotel was in the perfect location. Easy to get to hotel with luggage only a few steps from water taxi which was very conveinent. The air conditioning was great unlike our experience in ROme. This hotel was spacious and comfortable with a great breakfast buffet. Highly recommend this hotel!

Location, Location, Location! Great hotel, worth the money. Next door to the Daniele (most expensive) and to St. Mark's. Less than 100 feet to the Vaporetto/water taxi. Other people spent 1/2 a day or more finding their hotel and struggling with luggage in a city that is NOT luggage friendly. THe water taxi stops in front of the hotel and at the Jolanda […] stop! Breakfast was huge and wonderful in a room looking out at the gondolas on the Grand Canal. Room was a little small but very clean and comfortable. Paper in English, CNN in English. City view means the side of another building but the hotel is in THE PRIMO spot. We were in the Ducal Palace touring at 8:35am - We left the hotel at 8:30am and had to walk over and buy tickets. We beat the line completely without any effort at all. Every evening we strolled around the square before heading to bed because it was right next door and beautiful at night. The best thing is that the water bus taxi is directly in front of the hotel so coming and going to the airport is extremely easy.
