Great location. In the middle of the action and very close to public transport. Solid 3 star by Euro standards, but a great value. No complaints. Breakfast buffet is not outstanding, but a great value, easy and quick.

We requested a Double Room with 1 bed. When we arrived, the room had 3 chairs, desk, table, couch, king sized bed, huge bathroom, dresser, fridge, tv, dvd player, an iron, a tea pot, a trouser press, shampoo, soap, and hair dryer. Only complaint was that the showers were very narrow even though the bathrooms were huge and had more than enough room for […] a standard width tub. My husband hates when the shower curtain touches you when you are trying to shower. I agree its not preferred. Other than that, everything was perfect. They had complimentary umbrellas. Helpful staff. Parking across the street for 15 euro/night. Two sites attached. One was a bar/club scene Bruskers and the other a nice restaurant, Terrace. Walking distance to everything. I have no need to look for another hotel. We will be staying there any time we come to Dublin. Read more

I've stayed here a number of times. Main draw is proximity to night-life. Temple Bar is jam packed with action until the wee hours, so if this isn't part of the reason you are choosing a hotel you may want to look elsewhere.

Any rooms facing the street should come with a strong warning that you will NOT get any sleep. Every nice thing about this hotel--the location, the staff, the amenities--is irrelevant when contrasted with a hotel's primary purpose: a good night's sleep. Great hotel and staff, fast wireless/Internet access, great breakfast buffet. Right in Temple Bar on Fleet Street, so if you're looking to be in the TB area, this is a great location. You should be aware however, that this is the TB area and the pubs stay open til early morning hours, and there are often loud folks walking down the street til all hours […] of the morning which can be heard from the rooms above (at the hotel). If you like to Party till the wee hours, then this is the place for you. This hotel is located on Fleet St., which is party central for Dublin. Sort of like Bourbon St. is to New Orleans. We were there on St. Patricks day weekend, so there were A Lot of partiers, but I understand that most weekends are very loud down there. Music played till 4am each […] night...good earplugs helped. Clean, good location, very friendly and helpful staff. Quite outdated, if that matters to you, but single biggest drawback is noise in the street and in the hotel at night. I'm a sound sleeper and still was woken up many times. If you're there for the party, then this hotel is for you.

We booked Temple Bar for the location and we're surprised at the overall high quality of the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was included in our stay and food exceptional - the room was clean and much larger than most. We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to going back!

If you are there to party you will love this place. It was like Burbon Street in New Orleans. However, if you want to sleep, it's not what you want. The heating system had no controls and got very warm. All you can do is open a window which lets in the noise from the street. We had a great time but got very little sleep. People were on the street yelling […] and having a good time until about 5am and then the street cleaners and delivery trucks took over from there. The bathroom smelled of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The vent system pulled it in from the smoking rooms. I didn't think it was a good place to take children but there were some there. The staff was great and we enjoyed our stay but if you want peace and quiet, don't stay in the Temple Bar area. Enjoyed my stay quite a lot. It's not the Ritz but it certainly ain't the pits either. Pros: Location, location, location, comfortable, clean, attentive houskeeping service, requested a quiet room and got one - didn't hear a peep all night, climate control in room worked well, shower was clean and worked well, helpful staff. Cons: Rooms a little worn […] (small stains on curtains and furniture), safe deposit box in room was broken and never fixed though I asked it to be (although the staff was helpful and attentive in other ways). We were very happy with our stay. My husband and I stayed at the Temple Bar hotel during our honeymoon in mid-December. We found the staff to be helpful, but not the most welcoming. We loved this hotel. Don't stay here though if you are not wanting to be a part of the night life in Temple Bar because it can be loud all night. It is in a 2 min walking distance of everything you could possibly want to do in the area. The staff was lovely and so very helpful. We will stay here when we return next year!!

This hotel is right in the heart of the Temple Bar area of Dublin (i.e. bars, restaurants, tourists and young people - nightlife hub!) so if you DON'T like noise as all hours of the day and night - DON'T stay here. Temple Bar area is a must-see if you are visiting Dublin, and Temple Bar Hotel is right in the middle of the action. The room was very comfortable with heaters, a couch, a desk and free wireless broadband. However, there were no reading lamps except the small lamps at bedside -- there weren't even any electrical outlets conveniently near the couch for one to be set up. I loved the location, and the lobby of the the hotel but the room was dirty. There was hair in the shower and in the bathroom on the floor. There was a strange noise in the room that seemed to come from the heating and air control that kept us up.
