Beds weren't comfortable, difficult to sleep as it was too hot and there was no air conditioning in room (heating only). Bathroom was decent, enjoyed the mini golf, close to nearby attractions.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"In town resort"
Nice property. Good value. Room, especially bathroom, was well appointed and decorated in mountain theme. Kids loved miniature golf course and game room. Three restaurants on property and many more within walking distance. 4 instead of 5 star due to front desk staff being a little green: awkward check-in and my card was billed for room rate after checking […] out despite being prepaid. Charge was eventually reversed after calling hotel. Would definitely stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good but not great"
The rooms were tiny with no where to store luggage but clean and recently renovated. The staff were nice but extremely slow to fill requests. We waited two hours to get a crib which meant our 1 year stayed up way past her bed time. Additionally, we were double billed for the stay by the resort and had to call to get the charges reversed. It seemed based […] on their reply that they accidentally double bill regularly. The charges were refunded but it was still a hassle and a 20 minute long phone call I would have preferred to skip. "Nice location close to restaurants and nature"
The hotel was nice and had good comfort. The staff was helpful and nice but in my opinion a bit stressed which I sometimes perceived as unpolite. There was afridge on the room and a coffee maker and a microwave which is very nice to have when you want to make a simple breakfast. There is an additional resort fee of 25 dollar per night which was a surpsise […] to me (the hotel agent did perhaps inform about this on their homepage but not in a stisfactory way according to me). Our first room was okay but it did not have an air conditioner. We requested a change and the second room was very nicely remodeled. Be sure to ask for a remodeled room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice place, low cost."
This was one of the few reasonably priced motels in Mammoth, but we read the reviews and stayed here. We were not disappointed. It's right in the heart of the town and is walking distance to lots of restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was good, nice staff, beautiful room, great outside pool and outside jacuzzi. Remember it is on 7800 feet, so breathing is not so easy, it was hard to sleep beacuse of it (I'm 27 years old and I'm not a smoker). Maybe you can used to it, but we had only one night and it took 3 hour until I could sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great place to stay! I was very pleased with the professionalism and courtesy of the girls at the front desk. They were friendly and beautiful answering all of our questions. We ate at the onsite resturant Jimmy's taverna which was fantastic, exactly as advised on trip advisor. We also used the spa which exceeded my expectations and was a quiet oasis. […] The hotel boasts many extra activities including mini-golf, and although we didnt get a chance to play there were many other guests using the amenities. It should be noted that the pool and hot tub area were inundated by children. I suppose if you have children then this wouldnt bother you but as I was there with my boyfriend and we wanted to relax in the hot tub we found this a bit of a nuisance. "the hotel that never sleeps"
This is probably a nice resort for people who want to party and spend time outdoors. All of the employees are very personable and provide details about the area. Management decided to put a carnival in the parking lot, with blaring music and pounding bass till 10 pm, gave us a room directly facing the carnival (Not that another room would necessarily […] have been quieter). Carnival also made parking difficult. Much more "rustic" -- mountain-cabin-like -- than we expected from website. We would not have booked this hotel if carnival had been disclosed. Air conditioner on same light switch as main room lights, so could not run it while (trying) to sleep without removing light bulbs. 1/2 light bulbs missing anyway. 24 hr. happy hr or something at bar, so we had inebriated mini-golfers in front of room at midnight and "parentless" children running up and down the stairs to the cabin above till 2 a.m. Mammoth Lakes apparently has its own special 1% restaurant tax, waitress explained this was due to the airport and the city having filed bankruptcy -- no idea if this is true or not, but it's what we were told. "Could be better"
Our check in was delayed well over an hour past the official 4p.m. check - in time because the front desk said they were packed July 4th. We did recieve 2 free drink chits for the lobby bar.... nice. Thr room was clean and comfortable BUT the shower curtain inside was moldy, and I've never experienced that at any other hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Location, Friendly Staff"
Unfortunately we only stayed one night, however we are already making plans to return. The staff is very friendly, the room was very comfortable. Sierra Resort & Spa is located to everything. The plus was all these comforts and they are pet friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

very dirty hotel room and very expensive not worth staying and wasting your vacation time there. not worth at all with the extra 25 resort fee.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful and Charming Resort!"
Really excellent resort location with a lot of great conveniences. Multiple on-site restaurants with great food, great pool and spa, excellent amenities, nice rooms, and the location is also great for shopping and dining. We planned to stay 2 nights and 2 days, however we were not aware that the location is at 7,800 feet altitude and being from the […] bay area (sea level) it was too hard for us to breathe up there and enjoy the stay. Every little thing left us winded and gasping for air - would suggest you either be acclimated to high altitude already or be in great physical shape to enjoy a stay here. "What a fun little hotel"
We really enjoyed our stay there. They welcomed us with a few free drinks at the attached bar, and the food there was great. We also took advantage of the free mini-golf which was pretty fun. I wish we had stayed around for longer, but we had to move on to our next destination.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Could have been really bad"
This could have been a bad experience as one staff person erred in setting up room dates, though I was assured several times by her everything was set. Well not quite. However the Front Desk Manager, Jessica did the right thing and accommodated us very nicely and was very apologetic. The stay wound up being a very wonderful stay and we look forward […] to returning again in the future. Nice to know there are some people that know customer service. The bar in the lobby is a nice feature for a quiet nightcap before retiring. Restaurants are close by and though we did not eat there they seem to be adequate. Nice location, nice bedding and nicely decorated room made this a great stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Resort fee???? for what"
Our room was so small and dark, the bed was uncomfortable, the frame squeaked so loudly that even our small dog made it squeak. Our room looked nothing like the photos, primarily because it was so dark. The TV worked on about 10 stations, and the others were scrambled. And then there is the $25.00 daily resort fee that provided nothing.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A little disappointing, but great staff is a plus!"
I feel the room was slightly overpriced, considering the parking lot view and no breakfast offered . "Nice place to stay"
Beautiful hotel all around. We love Mammoth and loved this hotel even more. The only complaint I have is the $25 "resort fee" they charge you upon checkout. They didn't provide anything extra other than the room itself, (no free breakfast, for instance) so I don't know what the fee is really for. The room was clean, bathroom was very modern and new. "Nice hotel but unspoken expectations"
Arrived at 11:30 PM after driving for 11 hours, a drive that included going through Yosemite at night which is an ordeal! Finally arrived and just wanted my prepaid room, only to be denied and hassled over the fact that I did not download and print off the confirmation number. They were not going to give me my prepaid, non-refundable room but I insisted […] that if it was such a big deal a box should have popped up to tell people you need to download the number and bring it to them. I have reserved hundreds of rooms and printed off the number but everyone ignores it and just want your name and the card you used to reserve the room. Not so with this hotel. Had to get the manager and get an exemption...all by the good graces of the hotel. They then charged me $250 to my card while I already paid for the room via hotel.com. After 3 days the charges are still pending on my account. Charged a resort fee of $25 ...who knows why. I didn't get to use any of the accommodations...not sure what they had that necessitated the fee. It is a nice place but very odd rules and feel gouged and mistreated. I will NEVER RETURN and encourage others to boycott the place until they remove the "resort fee" and are less rude. It looks like a nice mom and pop hotel, not a 'RESORT." The hospitality was great and the beds are to die for - so comfortable!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The front desk person (Sammy) was awesome! She was able to answer all our questions about local restaurants and when they closed. Also, when we went to Rafters, we had some of the best service I've ever had at a restaurant before. The food was amazing (easily one of the best burgers I've ever eaten!). I will definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

For the price the room was good. The advertised pool was closed....very disappointing & not mentioned on line. The room had no advertised microwave but they sent us one. "Pretty good hotel. Terrible heater."
We stayed two nights early April. I thought it was a cozy hotel, staff seemed nice. We had a basic 2 queen room that would have been comfortable, had it not been for the noise of the heater. It made a terrible regenerating noise every 10 mins. It was so loud, that it kept waking us up. The second night, we had to sleep with it off. We were lucky that […] it was relatively mild weather. I even heard the sound of the heaters in the other hotel rooms in the distance, so I know it wasn't just an issue with ours. I would not consider staying here again in the winter time unless they address this problem. The location was convenient to the shuttle, with restaurants and the vons market nearby. I've stayed at Sierra Lodge pre and post renovations and the transformation is impressive every time I return. "Would stay there again"
The hotel is pretty typical for Mammoth, the rooms are pretty basic. The staff is great, though and the new spa and kid club is outstanding. The ability to drop the kids off in a safe environment while parents can have a break, even go to dinner (walk to great restaurants) is huge! We would stay there for that reason alone.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great option for a Mammoth stay."
Jessyca was the bomb! She was so helpful and friendly, even when she had been up all night working the midnight shift. Complementary champagne was a wonderful surprise. Restaurants are within walking distance so location was very convenient. A short drive to the Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, but if you wanted to you could take the shuttle that picks […] up and drops off right across the street. A hundred dollars less than the hotels adjacent to the skiing and definitely a great option...especially if Jessyca is working! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place with great service, and very central."
Although the hotel room didn't wow me, everything was fairly new as well as clean and comfortable. Nice soaps and stuff in the bathroom. The Spa was great as is the lobby with a huge fireplace for sitting around. But the best was the service. The front desk people were really nice (they do champagne toasts sometimes on weekends!), as was the woman at […] the spa. But the shuttle driver was so cool and the convenience of rides to and from the airport and the ski area, made this hotel a great plan. So convenient that you don't even need a car, so you can spend a little more on the hotel. Seemed like a good place to go with kids since the cub lounge was all decked out and staffed too. In summer looks like they have mini golf on site, so yeah family friendly. It's so close to tons of restaurants and bars, as well as shuttle stops - great location. Very solid choice. "Convenient/Nice Stay at a great value"
Overall, I'd stay here again. I stayed here for a weekend snowboarding trip with my girlfriends. Its convenient because you don't have to drive all the way up to the mountain, and instead they have a very convenient shuttle that drops you off at the ski lodge. The place is decently decorated and kept nice. They had a nice jacuzzi, which we took advantage […] of at night. The service here is nice and friendly. They gave us a free drinks coupon to Rafters (restaurant right next door). Drinks there are good, but the food isn't good. I wouldn't recommend eating there. The lodge is next to plenty of take outs/restaurant/markets/shops. The hotel is decently clean. I wouldn't say its amazing, but for the price you pay its fine. They also have a spa, which my friend had used and got a massage at and she enjoyed it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice place. Good enough for my son and I,. Got a great powder weekend. Located very close to everything (Restaurants, Bus Stop, Movies, Stores). See ya guys soon!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
If the resort was a little closer to the village or to a lift/gondola I would stay here quite often. Everything about the resort facility is nice and the rooms are excellent, very spacious with terrific bathrooms and fireplace. The only thing we didn't like was taking a cab or driving to get to the village or to the ski lifts. There is a shuttle stop […] directly outside so that is convenient, we just don't like the "cattle call" system and waiting on buses to get back and forth, it's just a personal preference. The rooms and service are great, the restaurants and bars on the property and near by are very good as well so we would definitely recommend the Sierra Nevada resort. They also have a ski/snowboard equipment rental service on site called Black Tie, which was very convenient with a knowledgeable staff that made the whole rental process a breeze. They have really fun entertainment at Rafters with a great bar/server staff about 50 feet from the resort on the same property which we suggest checking out. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was clean, staff was friendly and shuttle to Mammoth Mtn was perfect. They offer on-site ski/board rentals, great service. I've stayed at this hotel two times. The first time we staying in the a King suite with an attached Queen and it was amazing. This time we stayed in a small room with 2 queens.
