The stay was fine. Although an older hotel, it appears to be maintained reasonably well. The parking lot was well lighted and having Denny's next door was very welcomed. An added bonus was having Wi-Fi at no charge. The location was great, traffic into downtown was not a problem , a 15 minute drive.

The Baymont is obviously an older hotel but there is no excuse for the odors of smoke and animals in the room and the poor condition of the fixtures. The bathtub had a faucet that continuously ran, not dripped. I wanted to report it when we checked out but there was nobody on duty even though I waited for 10 minutes.

The room was afwal, the door look like it has been kicked in and was not repaired well. you could hear the wind and every passer-by that walked by. the door would shake when the next door neighbor would open and close their door. the floors were stained and looked dirty.

Upon check in I was able to request a downstairs room, we stayed around the backside which was a quiet location and plenty of parking. Neighbours were noisy on the second night but that's not the hotels fault. The room was very nice, comfortable, clean. No microwave or fridge, but ice machine just around the corner. Maid came in and made up beds and […] gave us fresh towels daily. Breakfast was well stocked and didn't run out of food even though we were a little later on in arriving for breakfast. All in all a great stay, perfect location for the car show without even having to get on I35 and the stationary traffic there. Close to downtown also. Read more

The only thing we didn't like about it, was that we were on the top floor. I guess it was because we wanted a non-smoking room. Shouldn't the smokers be on the top level because smoke rises? It wasn't too bad though. I will definitely stay there again. Clean room and comfy beds! The price was reasonable as well.

This hotel is in severe disrepair. Some painting was being done but you can't but lipstick on a cow to call it USDA certified beef. Faucet was leaking all night, walls were stained, tub was stained, drywall was patched up, hair on the nightstand...

This is potentially the worst place to stay in Austin. Terrible service hair in the bathroom unwashed bedding and insecure. Everything was so old and dirty! We had reserved this place for three nights. Needless to say we changed hotels after night 1!

You expect a motel near a freeway to be somewhat noisy, especially on a festival weekend. However on Friday night several car alarms went off. On Saturday night someone pulled in with their stereo blasting at 5 am. By Sunday the South by Southwest Festival was over so i was looking forward to a quiet night of sleep. it was quieter, until the trash trucks […] arrived at 6am. As an native Texan and long time Austin fan, this hotel is a fair deal. Very sketchy neighborhood and bag people aimlessly wandering around the grounds but hey it is AUSTIN! Didn't feel completely safe and worried about my car parked outside but everything worked out perfectly. I guess one shouldn't judge.

A very old hotel with exterior door access. bathroom was very small (sink and counter outside were plenty large enough). Could hear people through the walls. Hotel service was fine, and cleanliness was fine.

This is an old previous LaQuinta, "motor court" property. (Before LaQuinta started their major rebranding) It was "dreadful". ( to use the same language from the rating scale). Just a fresh coat of paint would have been helpful. The walls were knicked, and goughed. The box springs were exposed without any bed skirting, the mattresses were in poor condition, […] the lamps had different types of bulbs which gave different "hues". The exterior was in need of a power washing and fresh paint. The front desk help at checkin was very pleasant. The pricing was comparable to the room. The outside of the hotel was very dirty the room cleanliness was okay. Room walls look as though they hadn't been wiped in a very long time. Baymont is easily found off I35 by a Denny's. The hotel is a bit worn and dated, but my bed and linens were superb. Continental breakfast standard, did have boiled eggs if you are on a low carb diet. We arrived to a room with food and hair all over the furniture and no handle on the shower and no remote for TV. We asked for another room but they said they were all full. So we left for two hours for them to fix the shower. Poor hotel older property and need lots of love.

I stayed at this hotel about 6 months ago, and this stay was much better. Maid service was better, and the continental breakfast was much better. Close to tons of restaurants, gas stations, and ten minutes from my training site. I would stay there again. Only thing I would add would be a mini fridge and a microwave in the room.

The room was clean was really no different from other hotels in this sort of class. Nothing missing and nothing extra. Breakfast was OK again nothing more or less than what you would expect so in my opinion was really good value for money as similar hotels in this class were charging double.

I checked into the hotel, and they were very friendly. They let me know that in order to get onto the internet, I simply needed to connect to "Baymont" and there was no password. This was great! Or so I thought. After trying to connect to wifi for half an hour, I called the front desk. They gave me an 800 number to call for assistance. I called the […] number and was on the phone for more than 45 minutes, when finally I simply gave up and was not able to use the internet at all on the trip. I was also very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. There was mold on the ceiling, walls, and floors of the bathroom. Not just a little, a lot! Breakfast was also only served until 9am, so if you wanted to sleep in, like we did, you had to go across the parking lot to Denny's. The only thing this hotel had going for it was that the beds were comfortable. The front end staff seemed blissfully ignorant that anything was wrong. Read more
