Low end motel...not sure it was worth the price. I guess it was clean but everything was worn down and just looked, well, like a low end motel. It also had that weird smell that cheapo motels have...I think it's from the cleaner they use. The front desk clerk was useless. I notified her of an issue and she was totally unsympathetic and failed to tell […] the maintenance guy until I went back and reminded her. The maintenance guy was awesome...very polite and apologetic even though the delay wasn't his fault...and he fixed the issue in five minutes. There are no microwaves or refrigerators, but there is an ice machine outside. Breakfast was standard coffee, pastries/pre-made waffles, cold boiled eggs, and juice (from a machine, not fresh). The hotel is very well kept up. I was originally checked into a room with a door that was somewhat loose. I went to the front desk and they gave me a new room within a few seconds, no hassle at all. You can stay here only you want to stay for 1 / 2 days. The rooms are not that great by US standards. Rooms at the back-side of the hotel looks isolated. Also the door-knob was in its final stage of working I guess. Wireless internet service was intermittent. Was in town for a 3-day festival and was told there was a free morning breakfast, in-room wifi, and much more features. The first room they put us in was horrifying. Some kind of stains in the carpet that looked just like blood, brown stains on the white bedspread, toilet seat UP and the bowl rim was not cleaned, just smeared. Smelly. Dirty. Old. "It Was Decent Enough"
Had trouble locating at first and was confused when desk clerk told me I was still 30 minutes away when I thought the hotel was near my classes. Turns out it actually was but there were two Riverside exits. You get what you pay for. Next time, if I am working with a nicer budget, I would seek elsewhere. But it would not be the end of the world to stay […] there again. Next morning I was unable to take a shower, the water would not turn on in the tub. I was told that they would get maintenance over as soon as possible. I had to clean up in the sink for I needed to dress and leave. There were a few lively groups staying that disturbed sleep over the weekend. Was close to downtown but traffic didn't take any time off. Close to a few good restraunts. Pet friendly. Called Hotels.com to add another day so I could check out later and leave dog in room while in class. Someone didnt handle properly paperwork, could not get into my room when I went back for lunch to walk my dog. H.com says they received confirmation back so the ball appears to have been dropped on Baymont's end. H.com faxed it back to them and it was cleared up but it was still a disappointment and a bit of a panic being that I was on my lunch break. H.com gave me a credit just to try and make up for the rough patches. I appreciated that. I don't travel often but its nice to know when I do.
