Overall, the room condition was fair. But the the price paid for the room was a bit much considering the quality and location of the hotel. The worst part of the visit was being wakened by loud noisy guests at 2am and when we telephoned the front desk about it they said they would send security up to get guests to quiet down. Very disappointed to arrive prior to 6:30pm and find that the non-smoking room reserved was unavailable. Staff was very courteous and helpful, but did not make up for the unpleasant smoke smell in the room. This seems to be an older property that needs to be updated and refurbished.

Other than being put in a smoking room....to which even though the front office assured me it didn't smell like smoke.....WRONG. It had such a remaining smoke aroma once the room spray faded. This was an oversight by someone....and even though I'm a former smoker, the smell was overwhelming. I was greeted so welcomingly and in checking out-very courteously. All was a good stay except for the location and near the other hotel;it was good. I would book a stay at La Quinta;possibly a different location.Also, my booking agent made it so easy to book and I appreciate the kind service each time.

The hotel I was staying in was booked for Saturday and I needed to stay an extra night so I grabbed a room here since it was close to where I needed to be. The hotel room appeared to be clean when we got in but the outside of the hotel was pretty run down. The sheets and towels were extremely old and I could also tell we were not in a great neighborhood. […] We woke up early Sunday morning to a gunshot and someone peeling out of the driveway next to the hotel. This hotel is a dive. I also specifically requested a non-smoking room, and was given a room that is "non-smoking" but included an ashtray and no signs indicating that it is non-smoking. The front desk explained that there is nothing they can do. The room was fairly clean, aside from the thick stench of smoke. I'll never stay at a La Quinta again.

The room was simple, but clean and served my needs. The bathroom was particularly nice and looked to have been recently updated. Unfortunately the room did smell strongly of cigarette smoke although I had booked a nonsmoking room, but I was so exhausted from traveling that I just fell asleep anyway without attempting to change it. My only real complaint […] is that I did not feel safe opening the windows, as they were low windows without screens, so pretty much anyone could just climb right in! Very satisified with our stay. The room was clean and the front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. She was incredible!!!! The breakfast was ample with a variety. If you aren't satisified with the comp breakfast IHOP is right in the parking lot. The COFFEE was EXCELLENT!!! Had a problem checking in. A gentleman with a name close to mine was placed in my room. When I went to check in, the clerk said that I already checked in. Staff @ location made the mistake. It was fixed, no hard feelings.

We booked a non-smoking room through Hotels.com. When we arrived, after waiting for the single clerk to check in 3 other people, we asked for a quiet room away from the football parties. What we got was a smoking room that smelled so bad we had to leave the door open to air it out. We were almost to the front of the building, which was so close to the […] freeway and idling diesels next door at the Days Inn, we could barely sleep. The wall unit A/C did not have a separate fan switch, so it cycled on and off all night. When it wasn't running, you could hear the outdoor noise like the window was wide open. Overall this was a good location, clean and comfortable room. The drawbacks had little to do with the hotel. It is hard to get to the hotel if you miss a turn or don't know where you are going (one way streets and only a few places to get off). Next to I 35 this had a so so neighborhood behind the hotel. I booked a non-smoking King and asked for an early check in because I had some place I needed to be at 3 and wouldn't be back until late. At 1 o'clock, I went to the hotel and was told no rooms were available other than a king smoking room or a room with double beds. So I said I would wait. At 4pm I called the hotel to let them know we were still checking […] in since most likely there was a staff/shift change. At 8pm when we finally arrived, again, we were given a smoking room with a king. We asked to be switched and were...to a room with double beds. Neither of what I reserved. The room was dirty with the previous guests black curly hair in the bathroom and bed was hard as a rock. The shower water was also not consistent as to whether or not it wanted to be cold or hot. We asked to change our hotel all together and Hotels.com was very accomodating. Thank you hotels.com for coming through and making the quick weekend trip better. Read more
