Quality Inn - Columbia

The hotel room was just a room, nothing special. It had a bed and bathroom. It was clean but the atmosphere was a bit dull. I never saw any staff, but i only stayed one night. The location is good, but the hotel itself was alright

sink was clogged, bathroom light didn't work, hair dryer didn't work. one of our two rooms reeked of cigarette smoke...we asked for nonsmoking rooms, shaky neighborhood

Overall, this is a very basic room. Older furniture. . Nothing fancy. I arrived on a very cold night and room was freezing. Took a couple of hours for heater to get room closer to room temperature. If you go there in the cold, bring an extra blanket.

The shower's hot water was only lukewarm and the shower head itself was too low for a comfortable shower, especially washing my hair. I had to stoop and bend down to rinse. The shower head itself was also horrible, but I understand the need to conserve water. Nice folks who run the place but the facilities aren't all that great.

I would not really recommend this hotel if you plan on staying multiple nights. The breakfast was pretty good, and was enough to get started for the day. It is obviously an older motel and not one of the newer Quality Inns. It seemed a little run down and dated. It was sort of difficult to find as it is located on an off ramp - literally. We made our […] exit and then had to drive as if we were getting back on the interstate to enter the parking lot - a little confusing. When we arrived, check-in went well and the security guard at the front desk was quite helpful and explained quite well how to find our room. Our room was a good size, but the bathroom was very small and there was not much room for four people (2 adults, 2 children) to get ready. The big problem was that in South Carolina in late July, our A/C was off when we entered the room and it was quite hot in the room and did not cool off until well into the night. We have complaints and cannot really recommend the place, but it did serve a purpose - it was close to the interstate for our trip and provided a place for us to rest our heads. Read more

People were partying in the parking lot outside my room from 10:00-1:00. Desk clerk should have heard it himself, but did nothing. At 11:45 I called and he assured me he would handle it. At close to 1 AM, the police finally came and arrested one woman. The clerk was apologetic but did not offer compensation. The location is in a questionable area and […] difficult to find.
