Very old, converted hotel property. Seems all that was changed was the sign. Not at all the standards of the La Quinta brand. Poorly kept room. We were pleased with the ease of finding the motel, the choice of eating places in the area, our clean room, comfortable bed, and the friendly lady at the front desk. And, the breakfast was nice.

We didn't spend much time there. sleep only. The location was our choice on this trip, but will probably select a motel at a more central location next time. The breakfast was not what I has seen there on previous stays. ( my 3rd stay) No spoons, cramped area for preparing food.

We needed an affordable place to stay for 1 night. This hotel was ok. The rooms are small and older. We checked in late & the lady at the front desk was MIA. The security guard had to let us in. We were only given keys to one of our rooms and had to go retrieve the other set. We were in need of some extra pillows and blankets, but were told that there […] were none available. One of our beds didn't even have the proper amount of pillows. The beds were comfortable. The hard surface floors weren't very clean at all. I wouldn't let my daughter walk around unless she was wearing her slippers. Breakfast was good, but everything was gone & we had to wait a while for things to be restocked. Over all, it served its purpose for a 1 night stay. I will be booking somewhere else the next time I go to Lafayette. Read more

Old hotel, bathroom was tired - tube nasty underneath with some plastic covering over it. Bottom of door beat up. VERY WEAK coffee both in room and dining room. Thankfully it was just a 10 hour stay, overnight stop while driving home. Not what I'd expect from the La Quinta Brand!

It was an OK hotel. nothing wrong for an over night stay, but it was not worth the price we paid. We could have gone to Days Inn or something similar for a cheaper price. Other than that, it was a decent place to stay. The breakfast was OK. They have a fresh waffle maker.

The hotel is very convenient to the Highway. Our first "no smoking" room was next door to an inconsiderate smoker in the next door room (no reflection on the hotel). We checked in late, around 11:30pm. Staff that checked us in was courteous and helpful. We had 2 rooms, one with king and 1 with double, it was fine. The appearance of the hotel needed attention to cleaning and updating. The bed was comfortable and clean as was the bathroom. However, throughout the nights there was loud traffic noise (emergency vehicles, 18-wheelers, motorcycles, horns, etc.) from I-49, noise from other patrons by the pool, and noisy flocks of birds nesting and chirping it seemed […] right outside our door that kept us from sleeping. Additionally, the A/C did not cool properly throughout the nights and this added to our sleepless nights. On the second day, we were provided a towel each, but no wash cloths or face towels. After 2 calls requesting these, they were finally delivered to our room. I will not stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend it. Read more

We had to get the cleaning staff to clean our room, They said we were staying there at the weekly rate, and it was only attended every other day. That is not how we signed up. People were very noisy, sometimes until 3 am. The office did nothing. The pool had hundreds of bugs in it. I had to clean them up so we could use the pool. First of all, before we even got there, they lost our reservation. They eventually found it under a FIRST name. We had to drive there from Dallas so we got there a little late. Got in our room and wanted to take a shower before going to bed. NO TOWELS! Called the front desk. NO ANSWER. We called the next morning and was told that we had to go to the […] front desk and get our own towels. We also had NO TRASH CAN. The toilet didn't flush. The continental breakfast was a joke. The boiled eggs were a brown color. We had booked our room for 2 nights. We left the hotel was thinking we would return to a clean room. Room had not even been touched. STILL NO TOWELS. STILL NO TRASH CAN. We called the front desk and was told we had to come get our own towels. We walk up front and the towels are throwed in a bin, not even folded. She just pointed to the bin where we had to pick out our own towels and fold them ourselves. And we didn't have any water pressure in our room. We do a lot of traveling, and have stayed at many hotels, even La Quinta, but NEVER like this. I don't think we will stay at this La Quinta ever again. Read more
