I think it's a great hotel if you are looking for value. Hotel desk was friendly and helpful. Clean rooms, etc. Two complaints... the heater in the room was very loud and the breakfast is sort of lame. But I would stay there again.

This hotel is located immediately north of the Midwest Road exit on I-88. It was easy to find and it is very close to Oakbrook Shopping Center. Our stay was excellent in every respect and very reasonably priced.

My husband and I stay at this particular La Quinta when we come and visit Chicago. Only snag on this visit was the renovation noises starting so early on a Saturday morning(8AM) and the noises seemed like they came right in the next room. Other than this one glitch, everything else was excellent.

The day I checked in , twice I had problems with the key card. The second time, I went to the front desk ,the man behind the desk fixed , gave it to me, and then said I could not go to my room until I paid for it. I informed him I just check in that day with his manager. He loudly said no, I was suppose to check out this day. I said I would get my emails […] with proof of payment in my room. He said no again. I ignored him, went to my room, and retrieved my proof. Had he touch me, he would have been in jail. He asked if he could copy my papers and after that said I could go to my room. After reading some reviews, I did not expect much, but the price and location was what I wanted, so I booked it. I have to say the place was everything anyone could ask for in a mid range hotel. Room was large, recliner, desk, fridge, microwave, large bathroom. We did have shampoo & soap, other things available at the desk. Breakfast was a simple continental […] setup with fruit, muffins, yogurt, toast, etc. There are too many great breakfast places around to pick from, if you want more than that [and we did] grab a cup of the great coffee and drive down the road to Egg Harbor or Juicy O's. No matter what, if you pay for a 3 star don't expect a 5 star. That being said, this place was very clean, comfortable and accomodating. The pillows were soft and full sized unlike some other chains, sheets clean. Bathroom was clean and roomy, they forgot shampoo and conditioner but hey, if you didn't remember to bring those things there is a Walgreens […] literally half a block away. Continental Breakfast was just that: bagels, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. TV was basic local cable and updated furnishings were great. Nothing fancy but clean, safe, comfortable, and I would definiately stay here again. If you want Hilton or Marriot service and luxury, book there. Excellent location for shopping & dining. Amenities fairly basic (bring your own shampoo & pillows if you're picky) and breakfast nothing to write home about. But staff courteous & room was clean. Very quiet considering proxmity to traffic. Just be sure you don't rely on public transportation--this is not an easily walkable area.

When we checked into our room we found it to be dirty, especially the bathroom. There was body hair all over the place, even on the ice bucket tray and the coffee maker. Disgusting! We called and asked for another room and they said they were booked so the desk clerk came up and cleaned the bathroom while we dusted and vacuumed the room. It looks like […] the only thing the maid did was make the bed and we were very sure to look that over closely to be sure the sheets were clean. The next morning we talked to another guest of the hotel that was attending the same training that we were and he said his room was just as bad. When we asked about the situation at the front desk the next morning they didn't know anything about it when the night clerk assured us he would leave all of the info for them so they could address it with the cleaning staff. Picked this place because it's outside of the city and near the Brookfield Zoo. Pretty disappointed. Smaller room than anticipated. Toilet didn't flush well. Outdoor pool was okay. Helpful staff was much ppreciated, though.

We frequently stay here while visiting Hines VA Hospital...makes the trip much more relaxing! Close to Oak Brook Mall and great restaurants. Nice outdoor pool on property and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We chose this hotel because of the pool and the allowance of dogs. The accomodation for animals was great.
