"Great location, plus very good Greek restaurant"
Hotel is midway between Times Square and Central Park ,and attached to Molyvos, a good Greek restaurant. Suites are spacious and the service is helpful and friendly. There's also a diner on site - very busy in the morningGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was too small. Elevators compact and slow. Staff was very helpful. Good location.Genuine Expedia guest review
This was so bad! My wife and I stayed here for our honey moon. The shower sprayed directly on towels on the far wall and the water direction could not be lowered. Thus, to start with, all of our towels were soaked from the moment of trying to turn on the shower water. We never could angle the water down to take a shower below our shoulders! Then, when […] I asked for dry towels at the front desk, they brought them up and dropped them off directly in a pile on the floor in front of our room. Note that I had to go down to the lobby to ask for new towels because the phone in the room did not work. Furthermore, we had breakfast by room service that my parents ordered for us. They brought us hot water without coffee in it, and then again we had to go down to get it fixed. Overall, a horrible experience. Oh, and checkout was ridiculously early, noon, and that's in NYC where people go to bed around 6am when they have any kind of fun. Please boycott this horrible place if you have any ethics at all. The hotel is very run down but clean and the staff was nice. It is close to Central Park and Times Square. I would stay here again if nothing else was close in price.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Average Hotel, Great Price"
Check-in was easy. We had a bellman help us to our room and made sure it was to our satisfaction. The room was nice, albeit a little small. The bathroom was nice, but small as well. While the furnishings seemed to be elegant, there was a lack of freshness that I would have liked to feel upon entering the room. Request to stay on a floor other than the […] 21st. If not, you will receive phone calls to your room when people try to dial out since the area code is (212). We were left alone for the remainder of the trip. The staff was helpful in providing subway information. Checkout was easy. I asked for help getting a taxi to the airport because it is a flat fee of $52 plus tolls and tips. Instead, the hotel employee insisted I take a shuttle which was $65. When I told him I was paying with debit card he said it would be $5 extra. Never again. Next time I will insist on taking a taxi. I would have liked to receive a warmer reception and treatment while I was there. It is 6-9 blocks from Times Square area, and I think I would like to stay closer to the hub of things next time. However, if there had been a feeling of warmth and great customer service, I would gladly have stayed at the Wellington again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Enjoyed Our Stay!!"
We booked this hotel because of the great rate. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location. It's close enough to walk to Times Square or Central Park and only one block away from a subway train. The hotel staff were great and even saved us some money with offering an airport shuttle instead of a cab. […] We would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Comfortable beds and great location"
Enjoyed our stay at the Wellington. The room was small, but the beds comfy, room clean and hotel well maintained. Staff was friendly and plentiful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were pleased and delighted to be given a suite upgrade and the room was lovely. Our disappointments came when we found no free wireless internet access, or complimentary coffee maker in the room. Ice machines not easily accessible and after one call to request a filled ice bucket for our room it never arrived and then we had to leave for our personal […] event. "First time visit"
Good location....when booking, a double means 2, not one, should say 1 full bed, confusing. need ice machines & coffee in room. Change of shifts cause long waits... Thanks in advanceGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great place to stay"
Great location. Close to Times Square, Central Park, Broadway, Rockafeller Center, subway, etc. Great staff at hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Rooms are small, but who stays in the room anyway? Will definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Close to everything and excellent employees"
All of the staff members were excellent..Very nice and extremely helpful! My only complaints would be about very minor things, mainly the length of the shower curtain, which was far too short, and that there was a fee charged for Internet and business station/printer usage. Most places these are free now. If you're going to the airport, I would recommend […] using their car service instead of a taxi. The rates were very reasonable, the drivers were polite, and the ride was comfortable. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Teensy Tiny room with no chairs even by New York standards it was very small. Charged double for delivery of room service just for coffee. Choose a different hotel if you can.Genuine Expedia guest review
The rooms are quiet from any street noise, the Most Comfortable Beds, Air Conditioning works great on high cool. Hot water in the shower to relax your muscles after a day of walking. oh and try there Kewl line of Cucumber soaps. A truly fantastic location and the Lobby is very welcoming, valet parking is a plus and the staff courteous and professional. […] We had tickets to Lincoln Center, so close to Faces & Names bar & grill, hit Times Sq. had an incredible breakfast at the Park Cafe, strolled through Central Park, lunch at Tavern on the Green a tour through the Natural History Museum. The hotel is very old, but clean. The amenities are few, but the location of the hotel is perfect. Close enough to walk to Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, museums, and Rockefeller Center. Near lots of great restaurants. We will definitely stay there again!Genuine Expedia guest review

"staff should be a little bit nicer"
good experience..very good location near central parkGenuine Expedia guest review
Older hotel. Considerably less per night than the Sheraton when I booked it. Barely enough room for rollaway bed for our son. Air conditioner worked, but sounded like a herd of Harley's riding by when the compressor came on. Comfortable bed. Good shower. OK.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful rooms, workers are nice!"
I stayed one night here, perfect location! I plan on coming here again!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location for Mid-town Manhattan."
The hotel staff was excellent. Our room was small, but very comfortable for two people. The bathroom was very small, only offered a tiny shelf for traveler's toiletries, there was no toilet paper holder, and no exhaust fan.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room tiny. Bathroom terrible. Otherwise it was ok. Would not go backGenuine Expedia guest review

"Not bad !! But, not good!!"
The bed was comfortable!! But the shower was small and towels are hard!! A/c wasn't cool enough!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff were friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small but adequate. I did not like paying to use the hotel's internet service in their business area, but that may be customary in NYC. The Wellington made our first trip to NYC very pleasant and would definitely recommend it to anyone!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, Old hotel with old musty furniture"
Hated the roomand it was disgusting and over priced.Genuine Expedia guest review
"adequate but dated"
While the service was great - it's just old and not the cleanest you can get for the price. hallways were crowded with housekeeping supplies. Carpets were old and there was some mildew in the bathroom. Overall dusty and old - definitely needs updating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
""Not Excellent but That's OK""
Clean room and good bed to sleep but need Restoration ASAP!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice close to all Times Square , Central Park ."
Good room , nice people on front desk, excellent coffee shop. My only disappointed was the valet parking. After check out took almost an hour to bring my car to the front of the Hotel. The parking driver give us a unbelieve version of heavy trafic. When we get out not traffic at all in the hotel surroundings.Genuine Expedia guest review
"For the price and location a good choice"
Older hotel that had been nicely remodeled. Television reception was very bad. Had to go to first floor and ask for ice. Air conditioner was VERY old and didn't do a great job but was tolerable. The shower had the best water pressure I have ever experienced anywhere! The staff was somewhat aloof. In fact, one of the bellmen was in the elevator blocking […] entry somewhat and we had to squeeze by him to get in yet he had the ability to move away allowing entry easier. "really enjoyed our stay at Wellington"
Very close walk to Times Square- subway right around the corner- Staff was very helpful and let us check in early due to certain circumstances- our room was also clean and comfortable with plenty of space for us.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Love the location"
This hotel's best feature is it's location. Carnegie Deli and Benash Delicatessen across the street. I like to run in the park in the mornings and that is only 3 blocks away. About 10 blocks to Times Square and theatre district. I arrived early from an overnight flight and check in is not until 3. The staff did try to get me into a room sooner. Room […] was small, decent and clean. And very quiet (I was on the 15th floor). Because Manhattan has many different areas and hotels, I tend to stay at a different one each trip, depending on what I am doing. I would certainly stay here again. "Close to my son's graduation event"
I stayed at 24 flr which what I want and close to the elevator. But during our stay the air condition, bathroom sink and bath tub was broken. They repair and fixed it . Check in was good. I was there for a funeral and was going to be hosting extra people in the double bed room, so they upgraded me to a room with a kitchenette and some chairs for the guests to sit in. "Perfect location, terrible service, rude doormen"
You can't beat the location. About 5-10 minutes walk to times square, central park.... The hotel service is the worst I have seen in North America. Checking in takes at least 15 minutes, checking out 15 minutes. When you check out, it takes another 15 minutes to get your car from valley parking. The room has another door at the back that leads to a […] scary dark hallway. The worst part of my stay was the manners of the doormen and the bell boys whom you have to interact if you store your luggage for few hours. They are very rude. My advice: keep the location and check the surrounding hotels. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, clean but dated"
I enjoyed my stay here. The location was great, staff was pretty friendly, and room was clean. The peeling paint, old curtains and pieces of the dresser falling off were just part of its charm I suppose. Bed was very comfortable. Could be time for a few updates hotel Wellington...;)Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The checking was 20 minutes late, and they did not give us a room we have ordered! Very unorganized... They do not have a family bathroom or a baby changing table in anz bathrooms in the loby area, we had to change baby on the floor! Would not recomend this hotel!!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
