"Located in a quiet part of downtown"
It's okay for the price paid. The location was good - it was quiet at night, and I didn't see too many homeless people outside. But the WiFi is not so good - I kept getting disconnected around every 10 minutes - which is a nightmare if you are planning to do some work.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good hotel, clean, in center City of Vancouver, good price. I'm stay there 2 time.Genuine Expedia guest review
my first night was awful in Rm 822; the sink was plugged; alarm clock was not working, the keys of my room couldn't get in easily; coffee pot was out of order and the housekeeper hang me with a dirty electric kettle and left. i requested to change room on the next day on the 10th floor. i was fine.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Location; Excellent for the price; no hastles; cheapest parking I've paid in a downtown hotel ever. Make sure you try the breakfast truck about a block away on Beatty.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very nice. Quick check in. Hotel staff helpful. Bed comfortable. Nice view. Within walking distance of downtown. A good experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"okay hotel that shows it's age"
okay hotel for business stay in Vancouver. Easy walk to the ChinaTown Sky Train station, which made travel convenient. Room was very small but moderately comfortable and clean. The whole place had a 80's feel and seemed dated. Fixtures in the room (towel racks, switches) were broken but functional. Terrible view of an alley from my window. In room internet […] worked, but business center charged by the minute for printing. Staff was minimally helpful but not polite. Overall a disappointment and I would not stay again, given the better options in the area. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We had no power in our room in the morning. Alarm did not go off, so we missed our ferry home. Also had cold showers. Front desk looked at the breaker and it looked fine so they left us in the dark thinking we had power.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

I loved this hotel, great location, great staff members, everything really clean.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Home Base for Exploring the City"
Stayed on a Monday night and wish we would have had more time to spend downtown. Our room was upgraded when we checked in and we were given a corner room on the 11th floor with spectacular views. Quite a treat for my school age sons! The pool was clean and warm, also a big bonus for the kids. Great location for walking over around downtown with easy […] access to the Aquabus on False Creek. Will definitely stay again if given the chance! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Was perfect for downtown events. They have the worlds slowest elevators. We waited 5 minutes for the first one and walked the stairs the rest of the stay. The parking was confusing as well with no clear thoughts for efficiency.Genuine Expedia guest review
"very convenient to everywhere"
enjoyableGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel (although located in a good spot) is the worst place to stay. 1. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was appalling. Mold and mildew infested the tub tiles. 2. Housekeeping staff barges in on you with no knock, at all different hours 3. No Schedule for cleaning at all, could be at 8 am could be at 4 pm 4. 3 AP's located in the worst spot for […] the poorest coverage passible 5. the prices for the hotel food are outrageous (15 bucks for a bagel coffee and juice) 6. The most uncomfortable beds ever 7. No included amenities (they charge for the gym and everything else) 8. Constant noise in room starting at 4 AM every day Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close for Canucks or BC Lions games"
Check in was slow, but staff was polite. Had some issues with room key not working, but was easily resolved. All in all it was a good experience. Went to see the Canucks play, and this is an easy walk to the rink.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel"
This hotel was very nice with modern furnishing. The look and flow of the hotel is great and the rooms are beautiful (the beds are quite comfy too). Only problem with the room was that there was no fridge in the room, would be nice when in staying for 4 nightsGenuine Expedia guest review
"EXCELLENT location (but very noisy plumbing)"
i chose this hotel for its location and was not disappointed - if you are going to show at the queen elizabeth theater it's right across the street and the bc place is right down the block. the room was ok and it was clean - but the internet service was spotty and the plumbing was really loud. not the room itself's plumbing but from other rooms (it […] actually startled me awake in the middle of the night). so nothing awful but enough of an annoyance, mainly the internet, for me to just give them an "ok" instead of a "pleasing" - but not enough of an annoyance that i wouldn't stay there again. "Hockey Heritage Classic"
We came up the night before the game and picked this hotel because it was walking distance to the hotel. The hotel was ok. The room was small and very noisy. You could hear any person outside in the hallway. The elevator was right next to our room so we could hear it, not terribly loud but I was ask for a room away from traffic.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was upset upon check in to see that the pool and hot tub were closed during our stay. This should have been posted and said on the website. One of the reasons I choose that hotel was fir the pool. The desk clerk didn't offer any compensation for this . When we went to our room our view was of a wall and the back side of another hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"hotel is a little outdated specially bathroom"
it was convinient for my early morning appointment. the front room service was good your restaurant service was mediocre . I requested marmalade for my toast the waiter brought strawberry I waited a while to have the attention of the waiter ,even dough the restaurant had only 2 people besides me, I had to get up to call for help. this was bad service […] as I specifically told the waiter when he took the order that was the only jam i eat.the marmalade arrived when my toast were cold . "Nice hotel 2 blocks from Canuck's ice hockey arena"
Except for the long wait to check in and check out and ride the elevator up to our 7th story room, the hotel was very nice. Also, they wouldn't let us park in the garage until after we checked in. So we had to park on the street 2 blocks from the hotel until after we checked in and then we had to walk 2 blocks to go get our car and drive it to the hotel […] parking garage. It was a frustrating experience. I suppose they must have thought people going to the hockey game would park in the garage and not stay at the hotel! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I arrived early on December 3 and was allowed to check in slightly earlier than planned. The room was beautiful and the bed was comfortable enough to lay down and instantly fall asleep. The restaurant/bar on the second floor served delicious food and the staff was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I was in town for a Pearl Jam concert, but I would consider returning to […] Vancouver to stay longer and see more of the town thanks to how amazing the staff at the Sandman was, and how convenient this location was! "Nice Hotel, good bed, very poor internet speed."
Convinient restaurants in building, the bed is very confortable, but the internet speed is soooo slow.Genuine Expedia guest review
We arrived and had to wait 15 minutes before an employee who was standing around behind check in counter decided to call us to check in. "Good Location, Clean"
The only complaint we have is that the room temperature would not stay at the temperature we set, so we were constantly getting up to reset the thermostat so that the room did not overheat.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great West-end hotel deal in Vancouver"
For the price, the hotel was quite good. Room was spacious (had the two-double-bed room for my friend and me), location was walking distance to most things of interest, and the staff was friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
I was staying with my girlfriend for a concert and security came knocking in my door twice to tell us to be quiet when it was just our tv on and I could hear everyone else in the floor partying.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Gas Town, China Town, Robson Street"
The hotel was on the "Hop-on, Hop-off" trolley and bus stop. The hotel was near the Amtrak station, but the Cantrail bus did not stop there as Expedia had said it would. The Cantrail bus did stop at the airport location of the Sandman.Genuine Expedia guest review
"an OK night"
The hotel was quite nice, inclusive of a restaurant. Unfortunately, we chose a night when multiple events were taking place, so it was very loud. We would've preferred a location closer to the park, and gastown - our mistake.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to the downtown"
This hotel is easy to find, close to the downtown. Front desk people were very friendly and professional. Room was very clean and overall, the hotel was well maintained. Our room had a nice view to the BC Place Stadium and nearby bay. King size bed was quite comfortable. It is within walking distance to Robson street, and Gastown was about 4 blocks […] away. Stanley Park and GranvilleIsland were easy reachable by public transportation or by car. Overall we had good time staying at this hotel while visiting Vancouver. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Clean, safe hotel"
Good value for money-room was neat and clean. Older building, so dont expect 5 star room ammenities. Has very nice restaurant on property. Secure entry to rooms. Overall, pleasant stay - would recommend to others wanting to stay in heart of downtown Vancouver.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Walk-able distance to good shopping. Staff was helpful. Only complaint was a slow elevator. Other than that - Definitely a great hotel for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice, just nothing special"
Room was small but nice. No breakfast offered.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was great, friendly service and perfect downtown location. Easy to walk everywhere it a quick taxi here and there to get to other attractions. On site restaurant was pricey, if I had know other food options were close I would have walked there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Affordable, well-located hotel. Nothing special. Wifi was unusable. Pleasant staff, decent room and amenities. Fine if you're looking for a bed within walking distance of downtown Vancouver, but don't expect too much.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in central Vancouver"
We had one day to see Vancouver after a cruise and wanted to stay downtown. Location was very convenient. Only a $6.30 cab fare from the boat dock. One block from Robson St. where there are many places to eat and shop. Walked the Gastown area and rode the Hop on hop off bus that conveniently has a scheduled stop at the Sandman - Georgetown. Went to […] Grandville Island by the bus and rode the water taxi. Great day. Staff contacted cab for the airport and they came in less than 5 minutes. Same price as two people on a shuttle. "Great value and convenient for the tourist!"
We stayed at the Sandman for 3 nights before taking a cruise to Alaska. We toured the whole city and enjoyed its attractions on the Hop On Hop Off bus which you can catch right at the hotel. It is also very convenient to walk along the waterfront at False Creek "sea wall" behind the BC Place Stadium. It's a beautiful walk on a clear day. "Moderate hotel---decent price for the city"
The hotel is Ok but nothing special. Rooms are basic but clean, bathrooms are small, beds are doubles instead of queens. Elevators are very slow. Parking is too much, and internet in the lobby should be free. Otherwise, good location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
