You can tell that at one time this hotel was maybe a 4 or 5 star. That time has come and gone. Very pleasant staff, clean comfortable room. Only downside was low water pressure in the shower but it wasn't terrible. Also, at 6'5" the shower head was a bit low, but I am kind of use to that. :) Easy access to downtown. Will stay again.

Very satisfying. The location was perfect as a meeting place of the family over a weekend - we drive from Buffalo and our daughter drove from Cincinnati. Will do it again. Rooms were clean and reception friendly.

Need a small table in the room. A hotel of this quality also should have a microwave and fridge in every room. Pool was slightly cold. With current room amenities, it is a decent hotel for around a $100 per night. Wouldn't pay more than that though unless the table, fridge and microwave were added.

When i first entered the room i noticed dust all over the room, as i looked around more there was mastic or something all over the wall where the head board of the bed was. I then went by the sink and there was mildew under the sink where they had a whole cut out of the wall but covered with wall paper. I switched rooms which was right next door and the same thing except no mildew but the bedding was dirty,I then called and asked was i geeting these type of rooms because of the rate i paid, they said no i had the best rooms they had. They sent a manager up to my room and i showed him my concerns and he tried to down play my concerns to the point like this little stuff is no problem. The hotel was easy to find. The staff was wonderful. Very professional and courteous. They make the hotel. In my original room, the toilet was broken and they brought me a new key and helped me into a new room in a matter of minutes. I travel quite a bit. I have stayed in much nicer hotels for at least $10.00 less. This is an old hotel without the charm. Some of the wallpaper in the bathroom was pealing off the walls. Who closes their lounge at 11:00 pm on a week-end and has nothing available for a guest arriving after 10? No vending machines except for drinks were found. We decided to stay at this hotel for 2 nights over Labor Day weekend as a home base for Cedar Point amusement park. The hotel itself was nice, however there was a wedding reception happening during our check in which threw us off a little bit. The crowd was eating and milling around in the lobby, which I didn't have an issue with, except for the fact […] that it made it a hassle to tote my luggage through the crowd to reach the elevator. I returned to the lobby later that night and the crowd was gone - apparently they moved into the conference/reception rooms. So, perhaps it is just a poor layout to handle 50-75 people in/near the lobby area at once. This is a business/conference type hotel and the amenities were appreciated such as WiFi, Business computer with printer, etc. Despite my request for a "quiet room", both nights I was awakened by ostensibly intoxicated guests between 1-3am. The hallways are long and while covered in carpeting, carried sounds such as banging on doors and goings-on with such-and-such's boyfriend a little too much in my opinion. I would have preferred to not been awakened. I'm not sure if these were the celebrants downstairs, or other revelers. Read more

We are use to high end hotels. Crowne Plaza usually promises a luxury stay. Not this one. It is pretty basic. The water in the shower would not get hot. The lobby is really updated however once you get on the elevators and get off it is like a time warp back to the 70's.

The room was not as clean as i would like and should be. There were multiple distractions at 200am with people partying on our floor, slamming doors in which woke my 3 children and continued throught the rest of the evening. Did not sleep very much due to the noise and discomfort of the bed. Would never stay there again.

My biggest problem with the room was that the curtains did not close.There was up lighting outside of our window and made it look like noon at midnight . We were out late at a concert and the morning after the sun was betting in on my face at 6:00 am. The heavier curtains did not close. I felt like I had to fight to get good service, I asked for a fride to be in my room when I arrive but nothing was there...they said they ran out. Upon arrival, found out the hot tub was being serviced; told it would be repaired by Monday (we arrived Sunday evening). Hotel personnel was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The only issue we had was for some reason we were unable to get our wireless internet to work. Customer service worked with us for quite some time, and even though a solution could not be had, the hotel recommended that we use the computer which had hardwire internet. This is an older place where the rooms have multiple layers of paint. Carpeting wasn't all that clean. The door was dirty. The hot tub at the pool is supposed to be for 16 and older but was filled with little kids ... the result of bad parenting but there is no one on duty to get the parents to shape up and the kids out of the hot tub.
