"Modern excellence with extraordinary access"
Staff is gracious and attentive. Breakfast quite lovely.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location is great. Next to Centraal Train Station"
Decor is not my taste. Too much modern furnishing next to old facade. It looked forced. Check in was disorganized and unfriendly. I used expedia to book my ticket. Breakfast was supposed to be included. At the hotel they said it was not. Don't buy the breakfast. It was overpriced and very disappointing. Lovely cafes nearby serve a much nicer breakfast […] for less than half the cost. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Just ok. Not worth the money"
The best parts of this hotel is the location, the lobby and the bed comfort. The rest is just like a best western. Decor in the room was like my grandmother's house. Not modern or stylish, the room was just practical with out dated curtain fabric. The bathroom was clean with the exception of boogers on the shower walls. Yuck!Genuine Expedia guest review
"very nice, but..."
This could be a 5 star, and they rate it as such, but really 4 is more accurate. Service is not extraordinary, they nickel and dime you for silly little things (like internet), and for every great aspect, there's one that seems to fall short. Nevertheless, the location makes it unique and extremely useful. I would stay here again (having been here twice […] before) but with measured expectations. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth of 5 stars"
Besides its location, we cannot really recommend this hotel. The room was quite basic, and despite of thickness of the window, it did not effectively filter noise from street. We heard car passing, wind blowing and people chatting all day/night through. The waste bin in the bathroom was very dirty - no wonder it was hidden under the basin. The room […] did not have slippers, and I called the front for them. It took 45 minutes and another phone call to get them. Definitely not a level of service one can expect from a five star hotel. "First class and convenient"
The hotel is obviously very nice and can be affordable if you search various web sites. Most of all it is extremely convenient if you take the train from the airport (to Central Station) and want to be in the heart of the Grand Place district. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is nice and has a pretty decent fitness […] room to boot. If you do not want to eat in the hotel (which can be pricey) you have numerous choices in the immediate area within a short walk. I will definitely stay here again. "The best location !"
We arrived by train, just outside the Central train station, you are at your hotel. Location, location, location! Walking to the Grand Place : 2 minutes: restaurants, bakeries and stores on your way. Very convenient to go back by train to airport 15 min away. We "Loved" the hotel, and used it before with the same reason.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I wanted a place close to the train station and close to the Grand Platz and so this hotel was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
staff members gave out the wrong fax number, faxes and emails don't get automatically delivered to the guest but require a follow-up with the front desk, this is somewhat annoyingGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Even though internet is not available except for a 15 Euro daily fee (exorbitant), the hotel's location made up for that! The staff were helpful in making my stay comfortable, met all my needs and gave me the best advise a tourist can get. Located on the fringe of Grand Place and literally across the piazza from the Brussels Centrale train station (to […] and from airport 17 minutes), the Meridien in Brussels was an overall very convenient and pleasurable place to stay. "Dazed and confused in Brussels"
Le Meridien Brussels The hotel itself is beautiful, the buffet breakfast is delicious, the location, opposite the Brussels Central Train Station and a hop, skip and a jump to the Grand Place and Place du Grand Sablon is superb, if only their staff had been trained properly to treat guests well. First, we spoke to Paula, an officious intern from Spain, […] whom we eventually warmed up to, but at first she did not want to treat us well at all. We are part of the SPG program, and requested an upgrade, if available, and she just went on and on about how my reservation was not eligible for an upgrade because we booked through Expedia. She and her colleague refused to credit us with SPG points as well, also due to the fact that we booked through Expedia. Well, I have never heard of nor have I encountered such a restriction. We don't understand being denied points ever, even when possibly paying more than other people who might have booked through another website, possibly the hotel's, and we don't believe that we were ever cautioned that we would not be eligible for SPG points for our stay, despite the hotel knowing about our reservation for 6 weeks. In addition to this mix-up, we had a major problem with the concierge and booking a taxi to the airport--being charged too much, our wake-up call was botched, and the breakfast they prepared for our trip, arrived for 1, not for 2 people Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Love this hotel. Perfect location - across the Central Station and very close to Grand Place, shops & restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, lovely property"
When I booked, I was worried that this hotel might be too close to the center of town and too noisy, but my fears were unfounded. We were in town the night of a huge soccer (football) game, being played on huge screens in public squares. Loud bands and hooligans were everywhere. Yet even with an incredibly loud crowd and music one block away, it was […] shockingly quiet in our room. The hotel is across the street from a major train station, most metro and tram lines, and one block from the lovely historic district. The location really couldn't have been better. The rooms are very nice, and the rest of the property is immaculate. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very convenient location"
Good quality hotel; convenient location adjacent to main rail station and Metro station as well as walking distance to the old town. Staff friendly and helpful.Only negative issue was on departure. A concierge arranged taxi to Brussels airport where the taxi driver attempted to rip us off, delivering us to arrivals rather than departures and charging […] a Euro 10 premium for Saturday! "Great hotel in the heart of Brussels!"
We had a great stay at the Le Meridian. It is located right by the train station. We NEVER heard any noise from the station or from people outside. The hotel is right between the two major tourist destinations: The Grand Place and the Royal Palace. It was easy to navigate between these two areas and catch a quick train to Bruges for the day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful Brussels location for a tourist. Literall in walking distance of most important sites. Staff was very knowlegable and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

MEtro station is also so close center is behind of the hotel Location was so good, general consitions was very good but breakfast was not included and very expensive.. but nice breakfast..Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at the Merdian hotel and had to commute to Brussels Expo for a tradeshow. The location was amazing. You had the train across the street and the subway 1 block away. The hotel staff was above and beyond nice and very attentive to our needs.Genuine Expedia guest review

"At Metro entrance and plaza"
The staff was wonderful. It was a special occasion and a welcome champagne was waiting for us in the room. Room was really lovely with view of town. Exceptional.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful hotel, great location"
Le Meridian is a great hotel- modern and comfortable with all the amenities you need. The best part is that it's right across from the train station so you can day trip to Bruges or metro around town. It's also right around the corner from Grand Place and Les Galeries and all that comes with it- markets, shops, food, stands. Top notch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect Location for Long Weekend"
Great hotel--nice room, great location. Would definitely stay here again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Awesome location, very close to the Grand Place."
We were surprised to find that the hotel was just outside the metro station, which made it very convenient to get in and out. It is also a short walk away from the major attractions of Brussels (Grand Place, etc), yet inside the hotel was very quiet.Genuine Expedia guest review
Every aspect of this hotel were fantastic. 30 second walk from the rail station and equally close to action of Brussels. The hotel offers paid wi fi in the room. And FREE! Hi speed wi fi in the lobby and lounge area. The lobby is set up with comfortable seating. The quality of service and the condition of the property could not have been better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We liked the convenience of this hotel being just across the street from the train station. We waited about 10 minutes to ask a question at the concierge desk to no avail, we were told he's either on a break or with another customer!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel next to Central Station"
Nice hotel, located next to the Central Station, with a public parking close by, connected with the hotel. A good 4-star hotel in Brussels, in the city center.Genuine Expedia guest review
Bang in front of Central Station. Most of tourist attractions are within walking distance. Also good choice of food and beverages close by. Hotel is neat and functional.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Not a 5 star"
No offer to handle luggage . Guests visably upset at front desk. Employee handling situation was clearly unqualified and lacked training. Not what you would expect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Definitely not a 5 star place."
Travelling through Benelux we quickly learned that not all 5 star hotels are created equal. The Le Meridien in Brussels was our worst experience. This place is lacking on both class and service. Nobody is meeting you at the door on arrival, nobody is offering valet parking unless you ask (and they warn you they are using public parking anyway), the […] staff speaks like car salesmen at best and like drunken sailors at worst, barman is not paying any attention to customers even when the bar is almost empty. The list could go on but hopefully this gives the idea. The room is ok, not counting that the furniture is old, scratched and broken in places, the AC is either not functioning properly or is grossly underpowered to keep the room temperature comfortable and the bathroom sink is almost clogged. Location is very convenient though - just minutes to Grand Place and other attractions. This hotel is right across the central station, that certainly does not help with particularly upscale surroundings, but frankly the entire historical district around the Grand Place has that sketchy feel about it anyway. Make sure to watch your wallet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"The nicest hotel we've visited in Europe."
We had a minor issue finding parking for the hotel, you actually have to drive around the corner and use the public garage but it is attached to the hotel so that was nice. We loved everything about our weekend visit, the hotel is within walking distance to most of the major attactions, we didn't drive our car the entire weekend. Cons: The carpet in […] our room was dated and really needs to be replaced. The front of the hotel faces the train station and it was dirty and smelled of urine (the front area is all concrete with no trees or plants). There were a lot of people (homeless looking) just hanging out there. But it didn't affect our stay since we were never in front of the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fantastic hotel close to the Grande Place"
Thoroughly enjoyed the service at this hotel. The only negative e bit about our stay was that I telnet wasn't offered on a complimentary basis in the rooms- though it is available in the lobby area. "Great location in Brussels"
The room (including bathroom) was very large when compared to most other european hotel rooms. The hotel is also decorated throughout with interesting art on the walls. The staff at the reception desk and restaurant/bar were all very courteous, friendly, and most willing to recommend points of interest in Brussels - even points of interest not as famous […] as the typical tourist sites. It is apparent they take pride in their jobs in this hotel. The hotel is just steps away from great shopping, restaurants, and points/places of interest. If you are looking for a nice restaurant serving typical Belgian food, head over to the Aux Armes de Bruxelles. Make reservations as this place becomes packed quickly. The service is good and the food is great. Locals and tourists frequent this place. Since this city hosts so many international corporations/associations, most everyone speaks english. One point of importance - the description for this hotel lists valet parking. There is none. Parking is underground at a public parking garage, but elevators do take you into the hotel lobby. There was plenty of parking for a Saturday and Sunday visit. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is conveniently located next to Brussels Central train station and within a few minutes' walk to all tourist attractions. Staff is polite and helpful. The overall standard is high, as you would expect from a worldwide chain. My only complaint was that the window in my room could not be opened and the room temperature was uncomfortably high […] despite the heat being completely turned off. "Not your average European postage stamp room"
After staying in very small rooms in London and Paris, our room at this hotel was a welcome change. Le Meridien Brussels is located just a short walk from the old city square and across a small plaza from the train station that will take you directly to the airport. There is a charge for wi-fi in the rooms, but use of the computers in the business center […] is free. There is some noise in the plaza in the evening hours which might become a problem during heavy tourist seasons. Tour buses, taxis, subway station are all available right outside the door. In short this was a very user-friendly hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
