I would have rated a perfect 5 but a small aggravation is parking if you arrive late. I was excited to be going to Orlando with my daughter for her birthday. I spent 3 weeks researching hotels and decided upon this one due to the Marriott name. I was furious when I saw the hotel room. The description stated "separate living room", so I expected a separate living room. Instead it was 2 beds, a sofa (which was dirty, torn and stained) […] and a table in one long room. This is not separate! The description also stated that there were shuttles to the parks. I had marked off many hotels that stated that they did not have them. This hotel does not have any shuttles to anywhere, so I had to fork out extra money every day for parking. This also put a huge knot in my good time, because I had not planned for the extra expense of $20 a day. I also had to request everything for the room. There were no pots. When I asked for a few small pots, they brought a huge frying pan and a huge spaghetti noodle pot. I had to ask again and finally got 2 small pots on the third day (was only there 4 days). There was only one roll of toilet paper. The sheets were never changed - I got clean towels and trash removed only when requested (supposed to be done). Breakfast same old thing every morning - burned eggs and all. To beat all, my Marriott points were not added! To think I could have stayed in a 4.5 star hotel with the same layout, shuttles and overlooking the park... It was a disappointment for what I expected. Read more

Location is good (right off of International Dr. on Sand Lake Rd.) easily accessible to I-4. It was kept very clean. It was too small for a family of four but okay for two persons. The kitchen had a full size refrigerator, stove and range, microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Hot water was easily accessible. We had a lower level unit...so no […] stair climbing. The pool area is clean. The exercise room is claustrophopic with only a stair stepper and a treadmill. The YMCA is a partner though requires a drive. The computer in the main area is painfully slow. The attendant on duty let me use their computer and printer to print out golf confirmations. The food was good and there was a nice selection of hot and cold items. Self parking is available. When we first got there we got our room # and went there to put our things in there. We walk in to find two huge machines in there drying up an apparant water problem, the room smelled of midew. We went to the front desk and were given another room, it was much better, The 2nd night we were there one of the kids got into bed to find a bug crawling on […] it.. I found a hotel employee who came to check it out and told us that it was common in Florida, and handed us new sheets for us to put on bed. We had to call back the front desk because he never gave us a new blanket. We travel all the time throughout the year and never had found a bug in the beds. Read more

The breakfasts were out of this world. Hot foods/cold foods. Saved our family of four a ton the 6 days we were there. ANd they had everything!!! Cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogart, waffles, eggs, meats, pancakes, juice, milks, soda. You could not ask for anything more. The staff were super nice and organized. The check in team worked like a well oiled team. […] WHile one was getting your checking in papers squared away, the other was getting your room keys made, and other paperwork. The hotel is situated in a great, quiet location, close to the hectic international drive, this was perfect. Getting to the hotel was terrible though in rush hour (8 – 10 in the evening). There are enough dining facilities in the vicinity and the shopping possibilities are endless. Everything is relatively close by. The staff was just as I would have […] it, they didn’t bother me, but when needed they were very helpful and social. Breakfast is not my thing, but I guess for the most people there it was all-right. The room was clean and the service of housekeeping was as to be expected, to many rooms to clean for one person. I would get rid of the carpet though, this could have been cleaner. We stayed 3 nights here. The inn is very close to Universal Studios. Has a clean and functional kitchen, equiped with 3 stainless steel pots/pans set. Our room was a studio with kitchenette, 1 queen and 1 sofa bed. The sofa bed was rather uncomfortable for my 2 children aged below 10 to share. It was a very old sofa with cushions tearing at the seams […] and the bed was kind of thin and sagging in the middle. We were too tired after our day trips to complain about this to the management. The laundry facility on the premises was a plus. The room itself had a very dated look, but maintained very clean. Breakfast had healthy choices and staff was polite. The only complaint is wifi service did not work at all in my room. Other than that the room was cozy, clean, and comfortable. The front desk attendant was so pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is buffet style and you have plenty to choose from.

I am not a smoker!! Your signs are miss leading and should be changed to smoking in designated areas or outside your rooms only!! People were being threatened to move outside by the fence area or pay a $250 fine!!You should be able to smoke outside your room, in the pool area tables(not the pool side) and your designated huts! This hotel was very convenient to I-Drive in Orlando. The check in/check out process was fast and efficient. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It had the amenities necessary to make our stay an enjoyable experience. The only problems I noticed were: the cleaning staff isn't thorough in their cleaning, because I found a dead moth UNDER one […] of the amenities at the bathroom sink (which implies to me they didn't even bother to pick up the stuff in the sink area to clean around it and under it). There is also insufficient parking. We returned late at night to find only 2 parking spaces left in the entire parking lot, and those spaces were on the very opposite side of the hotel from where our room was, so we had to walk far to get to our room. We were very satisfied with all aspects of the hotel, very clean rooms, lots of parking available, and friendly desk staff. Very easy and quick drive to Universal, took all of about 8 mins. Only "complaint" we could possibly have is they ran out of coffee in the dining room during the breakfast rush. :) No biggie,,,theres a full size coffee pot and […] coffee in the room.
