Selected hotel due to the proximity of location to a conference I attended. The hotel overall was fine, but, it had a constant odor of gas as you entered the lobby and the elevators. The second night of my stay, guest endured a fire alarm that turned out to be a false alarm, but, not all guest were notified. The hotel apparently does not have a PA system or a plan of notifying guest when it's safe to return to their rooms. Not all guest evacuated the hotet.

Value for money not good. Hard to get bags to room no cart no offer for help. Bathtub rusty stopper did not work. No fridge compared to other places not good value or worth cost will not return

Went to Nashville for a weekend getaway. We were pleased with the proximity to downtown, the hotel was beautiful but the room needed some updating. The bathroom was especially dinghy. The hotel is not cheap, but does not offer free wifi or a small refrigerator or microwave. Not at all acceptable for any extended stay.

The lobby was so very cold I could hardly stand it. I do not think two large sliding door panels are needed. I would prefer a smaller door entrance. It would save a lot of heat and and staff and everyone staying there would be much happier. The hall ways were also cold. I could deal with that. I even noticed a staff person at the front desk wearing gloves while checking people in.I thought that looked a bit odd. Then I quickly caught on. Another thing I would like to bring up. With two large panels of glass covering the complete entrance I did not feel very safe for staff or myself.

I liked the hotel. Everyone was nice. But, the bathroom was a major let down. The shower didn't drain properly so by the time the water warmed up you were standing in an inch of water. There was also no fan in the bathroom which I think contributed to what I thought looked like pink mold on the ceiling. The beds were comfy. Everything else was great. The shower sketched me out a bit.

Front desk staff Valerie was very nice ..polite and helpful. Drivers were also friendly...informative (can't remember all their names).room was comfortable ...bed was great.....Had sunday buffet which was very tasty.....the only down fall was the bar...it seemed like they did not put hardly any liquor in the drink....asked for them to put alcohol in drink and they charged me double......

Room was nice, sink did not drain and no ice machine on our floor. The main floor and elevators has an odor, almost like a sewer. They charge for internet in the room, free on the main floor but was not able to log on, very slow. Did not allow a discount for AAA or ARRP because we booked thru hotel.com. Priced high for area, will not go back

For the price, this hotel was a disappointment. The bathroom was not clean, found a beer bottle cap on the floor by the bed, and there was no complimentary coffee. The room was very cramped.

This hotel is decent but for the price, it's not the greatest. There was a strong sewer-type smell in the main lobby area which was very noticeable. The rooms are fair but could use some repair and updating. The proximity to downtown (10 min) is the only thing that makes this hotel seem worth the price.

Other than the hotel did not have an indoor pool and hot tub, no water pressure in room, bathroom floor flooded after showering and no bathroom counter, the hotel was clean, comfortable and good service. Needs updating.

Some remodeling needed like doors cosmetic stuff. Would be nice if the hotels shuttle service would run later like till 3 am when everything closes because the cab ride home was not the best and that's a understatement. Other than these few gripes excellent trip and would definitely stay again.

We stayed here for a date night for us. Staff was very friendly. Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and clean. Loved having the shuttle that took us downtown and then picked us up. Very nice hotel.

The hotel was great. Our room had an amazing view of the Nashville skyline, also the shuttle service to Music row was very convenient and helped save money on cab fare. Some amenities that you would think would be free like WiFi cost a fee for using, and some of the staff at the front desk acted like they were better than you with a snobby attitude, but other than that it was very pleasant.

My husband and I stayed here while traveling across the country. It was close to the highway. The staff was nice and the hotel decent, but not as fab as other Millennium hotels we have stayed at. It was clean but very tired. The restaurant had closed by 10:30 am so we had to find breakfast elsewhere. Decent place to stay if passing through.

The hotel is very outdated - the shuttle service could not accomadate the group of 8 we had and had to split up on each trip to downtown. The comforter on the spare bed in our room was dirty. I would rate this a 1-2 star hotel.

I was there for a Business convention. There were many of us from Ky that stayed. I would stay again. I would just encourage the staff to be more pleasant. There was only one nice lady at the front desk. She had a foreign accent. It wasn't the staff was rude it was just that they seemed overwhelmed and not thrilled to be there. Based on that I wondered if there was maybe NOT enough staff. Please invest in your staff, they make the hotel experience. A bldg. is a bldg. and if your staff are not happy I suggest you spend time and money to make them happy. That will drive your sales through the roof I promise.

The hotel was nice. It was disappointing that you have to pay $9.95 for a 24 hour window of wireless internet. Even most of the cheaper hotels has free wifi. We couldn't believe there wasn't free coffee available in the lobby. We had to pay a little over $4 for 2 cups. I won't stay here again. For what was received for the price isn't justified. I also had to go to different floors for ice. That may be petty but still an inconvenience.

Friendly staff. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Clean shower, good water pressure. TV control indicated room was set up to received pay-per-view movies, but that feature was not functional or available. Halls were cold...needed a sweater to leave the room. Relatively convenient to downtown activities, but not walking distance. We would stay there again if the room price is around $100-$110 or less. Accommodations not worth the rack rate.

Shower flooded the bathroom in handicapped room. Had to move. Did not book handicapped room but was given one after inquiry about parking for handicapped. Moved to regular room next day same floor but down the hall. Fan motor on heating system horrible racket all night long.

Only issue was the poor quality of the bathroom fixtures. The sink was awkwardly powerful (could not be used without splashing water everywhere). The toilet was weak. And the shower temperature was lukewarm at best. Other than the bathroom, the room was great, not too expensive, only a 10-15 dollar cab ride to Broadway.

Fair; better than I expected. Room nice, bathroom could use updating. Sink knob was loose, as was tub knob. All in all it was average. Room was quiet, even though there was a convention in the banquet rooms and lots of guests. No noise complaints. Easy access to interstate, quick drive to most areas of town.

Hot water did not work. One of the lamps was completely broken, and there was a white stain on the comforter. Room service was good. Won't stay there again though. I'll spend the extra money and stay at the Opry Mills.

They call themselves a downtown hotel, it is more then a mile and a $10 cab ride to downtown. Shuttles are offered, we waited an hour for a return shuttle. On a Sunday morning there was no hot water for a shower and the room did not get cleaned. The restraint was nice, but the breakfast was not complimentary.

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. The staff was friendly. It was close to downtown Nashville (about a 10 minute drive) but far enough where it was quiet and had plenty of parking. I would definitely stay at the Maxwell House Hotel again. And as an added bonus, the coffee was good.
