My family and I didn't like our experience at the Days Inn hotel. As soon as I walked in I saw dry spit spatter on the bathroom door in which I had to clean. Although the mattress was soft and helped my back to feel better, the bed frame was too small for the mattress and box spring so when you sit on the end of it the whole bed lifts up. There was […] a big dead cockroach in the corner of the room behind the chair. There was sticky content under the chair handle. The ac was falling off the wall. The hotel is big but it only had one treadmill. There was not a variety of breakfast. I'm sorry to say that I will not stay at this hotel again and I will not recommend it to anyone. Read more

The place. was ok for the price/ breakfast was included. Still need interior upgrading bad. Elevators were raggigty and room chairs were very dusty and unclean. I didn't sit on them. .The staff was very pleasant.

We will never stay at this hotel again. The room itself was tolerable, but the bathroom wasn't clean, very small, and in poor condition. The blanket on the king sized bed was sized to fit either a double or at best a queen bed. Both the blanket and sheets had holes in them. The remote control for the television did not work and had to be re-programmed. […] Based on the condition of the room I was reluctant to eat much of anything offered in the breakfast room. The second morning we did not partake of anything in the breakfast room, even a beverage. My one positive comment relates to the desk staff when we checked in. This is an older hotel that would be fine if they would clean the carpets and cloth furniture. The carpets were vacuumed, but turned the bottom of socks black immediately and shoes tracked sticky black on to the bathroom floor from the carpet. The cloth chairs were very black from greasy dirt- you would not put anything on them. I would not take a child […] in there that would sit on the floor or touch a chair. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast fine for the cost. Warning for traveling with a pet- fee is published "per stay"... but, on arrival, they said that is charged each night that you stay. That is very expensive! The manager addressed it since I showed her what is published on the site and they are suppose to correct it. Staff was friendly. Area is fine- near busy road with lots of stores. Felt safe. We took pics but have no place to post here. We were put on the 3rd floor and the wall at the end of the hall was ripped out down to the cinder blocks and the window was broken. Our room was dirty and disgusting the bathroom looked as it had not been cleaned and there was gunk on the toilet and in the tub. We got in late so we just went to sleep and […] got up to a disgusting breakfast, the cereal looked as if it had been in there for months, the bananas were rotten and black, the waffle mix was bubbling which means its bad and been sitting to long, no sugar for coffee just splenda and sweet and low (we do not use artificial sweeteners so we had nothing to go in our coffee, the juice was bitter and undrinkable . When we checked in there were people standing around in the lobby in pjs but they apparently worked there and the front desk staff was very unorganized. We stayed in the past and it was ok for an overnight. We will never go back to this property. It was a horrible experience from beginning to end. Dirty and disgusting, the staff is unkempt and not customer service friendly, we never once saw or got to talk to a manager even when we asked 3 times. The bedspreads were pretty worn and the fitness room was in disrepair but otherwise, the spaces were very clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was just right. So, in need of some updates but on the whole a good location and comfortable stay!

The room was suitable. The problem was that there was not enough soap, shampoo etc that most hotels provide on a reasonable basis. The continental breakfast was pleasing your terminology. The coffee was weak and tepid. This was a one stop over on our trip but I would try another hotel before booking this one again.

First impressions of the building and lobby were good. Went to check in and found out our rooms were not what we reserved. I had reserved a king smoking for my husband and me and a double for our son. Was told they had new owners and they no longer had smoking kings only smoking doubles. I had made the reser atioms only 3 weeks earlier. Had to swap […] rooms with my son. Then when we get to our room a sign in it says no smoking. They did give us an ashtray and say that it was a mistake. Went to take showers after our 12 hour ride and found that in order to have a hot shower you had to let the water run on straight hot for around 5 minutes before it even got warm then you had to leave it on hot only in order for it to be warm enough to shower. On top of that our tub drained extremely slow so by the time you could shower there was black stuff coming up in tub and floating in the water so I felt dirtier after the shower than before. Overall it was not an experience I wish to have again and will pass this hotel by on our next trip to Richmond! Read more

Floor our room was on and the room itself smelled badly. Air conditioner would not cool the room. The toilet broke during the night and would not flush. Loved all the pillows. Quick response to any requests. Okay breakfast. Enjoyed having a refrigerator and a USA Today. The people at the front desk were not knowledgable about the area. The only thing the hotel is located near is HWY 64. But most of the sights were off of Broadway so you had a straight shot into the city. Enjoyed Buz and Ned's BBQ about 3 miles on the other side of Hwy 64. Also the City Diner on Broadway toward town. Also The Black Sheep and the Village Cafe both just off Broadway around the Barnes & Noble University Bookstore on Broadway. Was probably a good hotel in its day. This one needs updating. Spent first night with A/C out of order, but I will give them credit for repair the next day. Still, the hotel is in need of an update. Old fixtures, old carpet, etc. The breakfast was good, though.

The bathroom was relatively new, but a couple of old broken beds with ill-fitting sheets and an old 800 lb. TV make this hotel a has-been. This was the dirtiest place I've ever stayed. The toilet leaked so there was always water on the tiny bathroom floor. The air conditioner was not working properly but no problem you could easily open the large screen less window on our third floor room and jump to your death! The website said the hotel was close to downtown. Not at all. It just went downhill from there as we arrived at the hotel: the evening receptionist was little help, the bedroom and hallway were in shambles (including holes in the well-worn bed blanket(s), etc. I could go on, but just glad we only booked one night.
