Close to airport and freeway. Sink backed up and overflowed when other rooms were using water (yes, toilets). Could not discover reservations based on hotels.com reservation.

However, you have to secure and present the Marriott Confirmation Numbers and not the Hotels.com Booking Numbers. Our Front Desk Agents are trained to pull up the Marriott Confirmation Numbers. A Hotels.com Booking number is for your personal cross reference. Sink overflowed when other rooms flushed their toilets is not a normal occurence. We hope you have reported it during your stay so we could have fixed it.

However, being located in Long Beach and easily accessible via the 405 Freeway, it is an easy commute to numerous attractions in Southern California , i.e. Disneyland/California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm, Pacific Beaches and shopping.

The pool and pool area were lovely and very well kept! The indoor pool was slightly warmer than the outside pool which helped with the littler ones. The lobby also looks gorgeous and was a pleasant place to hang out with a cup of coffee or cocktail. Our room was one of the older and partially remodeled ones. For the price, the room itself was a bit disappointing but only the parents could really tell. Water pressure in the room made up for the older feel of the room. It's about a mile from Starbucks and nearly on top of the airport and about a ten to fifteen minute drive from downtown Long Beach. I would return again if it's slightly cheaper!

We are rarely disappointed with a Marriott hotel, but this was an exception. Pool and deck area need an overhaul and we're dirty. The beds were so soft or used that my wife and I were rolling into the middle. Service was wonderful as always, but we wouldn't stay here again.

Front desk was great. They printed out our Six Flags tickets and were very personable. Rooms are nice only thing I didn't like was the weak water pressure in the shower.

We were disappointed. We reserved a King Bed room and when checked in the front desk staff said, they sold out the King Bed room because we reserved the room not with Hotel but via a third party Expedia and they did not see our references. They said we can wait if someone cancelled their King Bed room reservation we could have it. They knew that we reserved a King Bed room but they still sold out.

Overnight stay to participate in beach 5K. Didn't know what to expect inasmuch as by the airport and nothing within walking distance. But very quiet, short drive to points of interest, beautiful pool area, nice restaurant and, best of all, Starbucks in lobby.

Overall I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were great. The buffet breakfast was just okay to me. The later you arrive back at the hotel, there is not much parking up close to the hotel. Then again the hotel has hosts weddings and so guests not staying at the hotel occupy most of the parking.

The room was clean, the bed was comfy, staff was awesome and it even has a Starbucks and restaurant in the lobby. My family and I got to enjoy all of that and the indoor pool. If we are ever out in long beach we are definitely staying there:)

It was a very clean, very nice hotel. But my room was too cold. Tried to warm it up but it wouldn't warm up. Had to call to have it fixed. Then it got just right. It was very nice, except for the noise from some people in the next room who were noisey at 2:30am. But soon quieted down.

no mini bar, the maid didn't leave a bar of soap in the bathtub, very stingy with the toilet paper, maid didn't replace the water i drank from the fridge. The A/C worked poorly. There was loud noise from the hall.

However, we offer options such as room service and also at Tamarindo's Margarita Bar & Cantina and at the Vista Bar & Starbucks Coffee Lounge. The bar of soap are all located at the credenza bathroom with all the upgraded beauty amenities for the guests and the housekeepers are not allowed to place the soap on the bathtub. Television and room phone didn't work. They sent maintenance to fix the TV, which only worked for a couple hours. When talking to front desk about these issues and service overall, I felt like I was treated 2nd class because I used a "booking" site to book the room instead of booking through Marriott.

These rooms were straight out of 1980. So outdated. And why isn't it possible to open the windows? Weird. The bed was very comfortable though. Soaps were not enough for 2 people. On demand didn't work at all on the second night. Engineer came up to the room and couldn't fix it. Disappointing.

We like this hotel and have stayed here before. Has great excess to the 405 and CSULB. Nice Quite area, you wouldn't know you was next to a freeway or airport. I would always stay here if m visiting CSULB. Too far for the beach.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very nice- beautiful indoor and outdoor pools, nice lounge, and a sports bar attached. When we arrived to check in the computers were down so it took about 20 minutes. They were nice and offered us free breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was great! The only down sides to this hotel were the temperature controls and the parking lot. The room was always too hot or too cold, no matter what temperature we set the thermostat at. The parking lot was a nightmare! We arrived back at 10pm on Friday night and had trouble finding a place to park. On Saturday night, we came back from dinner around 9pm and there was NOWHERE to park. After circling the lot for about 20 minutes, we finally parked in the loading zone in front of the hotel. When we told the concierge about this, he did not seem to car and was not at all helpful.

There are times when booking a week prior to arrival date that the hotel would run out of the mentioned type of rooms. especially if you are staying on a weekend . We reserved a room with two double beds and instead got a queen bed and a roll away bed. Water pressure in the shore was virtually none existent. I have thin hair and I ended up having to rinse it out in the sink because the shower could not rinse the soap from my hair. The overall amenities were lacking but the fitness center and pool area were very nice however.

The staff at this hotel definitely go above and beyond to make sure your stay is memorable and comfortable. After just coming back from staying at the St Regis in Puerto Rico to this property, there was no let down in service at all. The young lady that checked us in (Roxana) I beleive while still in training was not only very helpful and thoughtful in assisting us but also very thorough insuring that all charges on the room would be correct upon check out. (Ive had issues with this in the past and was very pleased that she was proactive about it). For what we were doing, the location was great and the room was comfortable.

Booked a room at this hotel as a place for my boyfriend and me to crash after picking him up from a late flight into Long Beach. Hotel is extremely convenient to (practically on top of) the airport, and the noise level can be compared to an air conditioning unit switching on - you can hear it but it's more of a quiet white noise than a disturbance. The little sleep we did get (it was our first time seeing each other in over a month) was very restful. Super comfortable bed. The staff was beyond friendly. Everyone was smiley and very helpful, which is a great welcome when you're looking for a nice place to rest your head after a long flight. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

This hotel needs a facelift in the worst possible way. Peeling wallpaper, dirty/chipped paint. The staff was nice enough. The sportsbar is a awful (no fault of the sweet waitress) We waited an hour for 2 kid's pizza's and a couple of tacos. Overall a sad and dumpy hotel (but the lobby is nice) esp for the $250 price tag.

The hotel is beautiful. The only thing I did not like was the location. My business convention was at the Convention Center so it was a pretty inconvenient drive. Other than that this is a fantastic hotel! The customer service was great and so was the buffet breakfast.

At first we were mistakenly given a smoking room. The front desk immediately moved us to another room on another floor no problem. The room was clean and comfortable. However the bathroom door swung out into the room blocking the sink and the dressing area. It was a nuisance when we were getting ready in the morning.

I love this hotel and it is my "home away from home" when I am in Long Beach. It can get crowded with conventions but the food is great and staff is very helpful.

This was supposed to be a 5star hotel and I purposely chose this hotel instead of lower cost ones because of the ratings. Upon arrival I discover the hotel is under construction and the rooms/beds are small and smell. The floors felt damp and wet and the beds were uncomfortable. The bedding seemed dirty and cold. I was very disappointed and felt very jipped and lied to. I will not be staying there again...maybe you should work on making the rooms where people will spend most of there time more comfortable and homey.

I recently stayed here over the weekend after a long day at Universal Studios and I must say that the guest service was just great. During check in the employees acknowledged me while i was waiting and let me know that they will help me in a moment. Candice who helped me at check in was friendly and was very helpful in answering any questions I had. The rooms were very clean and a nice view of the pool. Upon leaving a member of my group forgot something in the room and we were able to retrieve it quickly with no hassle. I would definitely stay here again.

Anice, non-special stay close to an airport. a bit of interior construction going on that took away from the ambience of the lobby area.

Lobby was under construction, but the staff went out of there way to accommodate me. It was no bother otherwise. The beds at the Marriott are the most comfortable, I sleep like a baby.

Expedia did not liaise with the hotel so far as I booked 2 Queens, the hotel had a King. So in the end we had a Queen and a roll over, as they called.

Excellent staff, great location to access Long beach yet get on the freeway out of town. Only downside is construction, so you are walking around plastic barriers, dust etc. At least we were there on the weekend and didn't get construction noise.....
