"service doesn't trump space"
Bulky round sink inches from face when sitting on toilet. Should have been rectangle and thin. Bulky armoire and TV stand rob precious space in an already small room. Impossible to place suitcase anywhere either than next to bed. Nice decor, but faux distressed cliche. Confusing hall decor. Fantastic lobby. Impeccable service thanks to scale and room/staff […] ratio. Best hotel shower experience ever. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Concert at ASO"
Recently stayed at the Indigo to attend a concert at the ASO. Great location. Very friendly staff. Secure parking (although there is a fee). Bathrooms are small but very functional. Room was perfect. Close to many restaurants and taverns. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. If you stay there, go grab a burger at The Vortex.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not like other Hotel Indigos..."
Having stayed at three other Hotel Indigo properties, this one in Midtown Atlanta was not as expected. The room was very tiny and felt more like a motel room, than a Hotel Indigo room. It was very cramped. Didn't have the modern and clean decorations I've come to expect. And the bathroom was the smallest hotel bathroom I've ever seen (and I've taken […] trips to London where the bathrooms are tiny). Sitting down on the toilet put you about 6" away from the sink, the wall, and the shower glass. It was incredibly small and uncomfortable. The bedroom itself was fine, but again, not up to Hotel Indigo design and comfort standards. Maybe it was just this room? But the hotel was also undergoing maintenance, which didn't help our trip. We walked five blocks to get dinner and it didn't feel safe. I've stayed in parts of downtown Atlanta before. I'll definitely stay at a Hotel Indigo again, but not this one. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel but understaffed."
The hotel is terribly understaffed. The front desk was staffed by one individual who also delivered towels, etc. There was no bell staff so you have to wrangle your own luggage. The staff park the hotel vehicles to block the area in front of the entrance so you can't pull your car up and unload. We had to park on the 8th floor of the parking garage […] (a separate building) and move our own luggage to the hotel and up to the 10th floor. Rather pricey for a "self-serve" hotel. "An elevating experience"
I travel 40% of the year up and down the East Coast. I decided to take my wife out for a night on the town and grab a room close to the Fox Theatre. We dropped off our things in the room. Its was clean and all the basic amenitites seemed to work. We left for a show and dinner. It was late when we returned to the room. So we prepared for bed. We had […] a king size bed; or twin size beds with a king mattress thrown over the top of them. One bed was damaged where the head of the mattress was pointing 30 degrees down toward the floor. So when I got into bed my feet were over my head. My wife got a good laugh out of it but we both ended up sleeping on her portion of the bed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Love Hotel Indigo but not in Atlanta"
I love the brand of Hotel Indigo but the missing wall in our hallway was not attractive, and the next morning there were guys cussing and scrapping outside our window doing drywall. It started at 7am until 10am, and I was on a mini vacation where I wanted to rest. I understand work needs to happen, but it could of been done calmer, or at least have […] thicker walls from the outside of the building from my room. Then, when we told front desk, they just apologized but didn't seem sincere. I don't need any thing free, but they could of talked to the workers or made us feel better. I will always look for a hotel indigo first. This hotel was very comfortable. Close to everything and great restraints. Try Gladys Nights Chicken and Waffles just down the street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"adorable boutique hotel"
It was under renovation but everything was comfortable and the room service for was prompt and delicious. Very close(across the street!) to the landmark Fox and the Vortex which has the best hamburgers and The Laughing Skull, an intimate comedy Club. Best birthday ever!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The boutique hotel is appealing. I opted for a king size room with a city view. The room was extremely tiny. The bathroom would not be adequate for a small child to use the toilet and not hit their knees on the sink. I was shocked that there was not complimentary coffee. Overall, the only thing nice about this hotel was the view of the FOX.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great option in mid-town ATL"
We were only there one night, but it was a great option to stay in the heart of mid-town. Staff was great and helpful. Rooms - especially our bathroom - were snug.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Don't stay here. We left and didn't stay. Rude awful employees!! No parking. No help with luggage. Got refund and went elsewhere!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older hotel, fabulous staff"
Having stayed at the Indigo in Chicago, expectations were high, probably too high. Hotel is older and "historic", so space is at a premium. I did not expect that to mean no bathtub in the rooms. I will say that the staff was SUPER accommodating and very willing to change me to a handicap room that had a tub. Unfortunately, when I went to use that tub, […] housekeeping had done a very poor job of cleaning and there were long strands of black hair still in the drain. On top of that, the toilet in my room kept running and running. The chain would fall off the drain and I had to take off the back cover and fix it to get it to stop so that I could rest. I admit, I did NOT report this because by the time that I would get back to the room, I just didn't have the energy to report it and wait for someone to come up and do what I could do myself. Despite the less than stellar physical accommodations, the staff was incredibly friendly and professional and certainly made up for the pitfalls of the room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was a perfect location in Midtown and was walking distance to restaurants and bars. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room had everything we needed but the bathroom was on the small side. I guess that is to be expected when you stay in a historical location in a city. Parking was reasonable and we were able to get in and out of the […] garage with ease. We will say at the Indigo again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel staff was unfriendly. Parking cost for the hotel was unexpected. As a someone who works for the military and is paying full price for a room I expected to park at the hotel for free! When asked if this could be waived that man just said no. We asked about the surrounding area and he was unable to give any suggestions of places to go. The rooms […] were clean, but SMALL! There was no bath tub, my boyfriend kept banging his nees on the sink when he went to use the bathroom, water sprayed all over from the shower since there was no door and on the curtain preventing water from going all over (didn't work). The lights in the hallway make the room light up at night... I like to sleep in the dark; this was not dark! Who ever took the photos of this place should be hired by everyone... The photos make this hotel look amazing... IT WAS NOT! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"OUT OF THE ORDINARY"
I don't enjoy cookie cutter hotels so I usually look for a boutique hotel and that's what Indigo feels like.Smaller, cozy and more personal. Personnel were excellent, room was clean and had everything we needed. World's smallest bathroom but again, everything we needed was there. Convenient it you want to sit on toilet and put on makeup at the same […] time. Location is as good as it gets for midtown. Don't miss having a manhattan a the bar made by Frances. "Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown"
Parking was a nightmare due to special event in the city, parking garage was filled to capacity and the attendant kept allowing more in the garage took over 30 minutes to park. Reserved a room with king size bed received a room with two twins, however after a trip back to the service desk error was quickly corrected. Hotel is pet friendly which has […] never posed a problem in the past, however someone on the same floor decided to leave their dog in the room alone for three hours so all the guest on our floor had the pleasure of listening to the constant whining and yelping. Hotel staff was friendly and tried to make our stay pleasurable, but the remodeling and other mention incidents put them at a considerable disadvantage, Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nothing special but nice enough."
Chose this hotel because it is a block from the hospital I work at and I needed a place to ride out the ice storm. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.I could hear the conversations in the hallways and adjoining rooms.Fotunately I was exhausted and able to sleep through it.I will stay here again in similar circumstances.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Fantastic Location, Decent Hotel"
Indigo was very easy to find and was in a fantastic location. We had a great time sitting on the large porch watching the people walking to a show at the fox theater. Lots of little shops and restaurants on Peachtree close by. Very odd hotel as far as service, seemed like we could never find someone to help us. Hotel rooms were very small which is to […] be expected in a big city. Typical of New York or London. Well kept up and great view of the city. Overall I would stay again for the price and location. Nice renovations to an older hotel building. The rooms are beautiful, but small, especially the bathroom, which is almost claustrophobic. But, with renovations such as this there is little else that can be expected.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very small rooms, not especially well appointed. Very small bath, but nice shower. Lobby was getting a little shabby. Coffee machine was out of order. Nothing really bad but nothing really good. Just a fair value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff very helpful and knowledge of the area rooms clean, good bed with plenty of pillows. The rooms are on the small side but for one night this was ok. Across the street from the Fox Theater and any kind of restaurant yo could want.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great for performing arts fans"
There was some construction going on in the lobby, so there was a temporary station set up for checking in, which slowed things down. "Good for a Weekend"
A friend and I stayed here for two nights during a visit to Atlanta. The room was average. "Awesome lobby; tiniest bathroom ever!"
The hotel is beautiful on the outside, and the lobby is gorgeous! However, the room size was just so-so, with a couple of nice decor touches, but not quite as unique as I had hoped. The bathroom was incredibly tiny (I actually hit my head on the sink while standing up from the toilet), and the shower did not drain well, so you had a couple inches of […] nasty water by the time you got out. The second day, when our maid cleaned our room, she left the toilet seat and lid up, which just seems tacky to me. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

I used to stay here when it was an old Days Inn and they've done a great job with the renovation. Yes, the rooms are small but I can live with that. The bathrooms are ridiculous however.... not functional. I would also like to suggest they provide better irons. But most of all, I was shocked to see that they don't recycle and that is unlike most of […] the indigos I've stayed at. I thought they lost the sustainability trademark that Indigos are famous for. "Clean, but tiny rooms. Not kid friendly."
We traveled with our toddler daughter. Did not know that there were no tubs in the rooms. Little kids don't really like showers. We had a room with two double beds for 3 of us and it was quite cramped. I had stayed in larger hotels in New York! The bathroom is extremely small, you can touch the sink and tub while on the toilet. If tall you may hit your […] head on the sink when getting up from the toilet, that's how small it is. The staff's service was good and attentive and the room was clean. I would not stay at this hotel again with a family. My brother in law recommended it, but he has no kids and didn't think about that. I guess if you are single and want to save money it is decent enough. As an FYI, parking is $25/night. "Rooms are cheap, but they get you with the food"
The quality of the hotel was great. Their customer service was great. The receptionist, Joshua, was very personable and always asked me if I needed anything in my room. But, I soon realized that the affordability of the room was offset by the prices for room service. One bagel was $3.75! Perhaps this is standard at hotels, but this was my first encounter […] with room service. Would I go there again? Of course! I'll just have to bring my own snacks. "Nice decor, polite staff"
I had a great time at Hotel Indigo this past weekend. The staff was extremely friendly and pleasant to work with. My only (small) complaint would be that there are ice machines on every other floor as opposed to each floor. Also, I'd read the reviews where people complained about the restroom being tiny and at first glance I didn't think it was an issue. […] It wasn't until I showered and water was all over the floor that I saw that it is a problem. The a/c controls/unit were also kind of screwy. My room would be extremely hot or extremely cold. I wasn't able to really figure out how to get it just right. A huge positive for me was the bed. Talk about COMFORT. It was so comfortable I missed breakfast all 3 days of my stay because I couldn't get myself to climb out from under the covers. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Staff was very friendly and interested in making your stay great. Breakfast in hotel restaurant was convenient and tasty with a good variety of choices. Bed was very comfy. "Go elsewhere, next door maybe."
Smallest room ever. We had to stay out just to keep from tripping over each other. no divider between shower floor and regular bathroom floor, just a curtain. Then we complained and got a room a little bigger with no extra charge but now the bathroom was a total of 5 feet from door to the end on the inside of the shower. then I hit my head on the sink […] just trying to sit down on the toilet. I get the whole authentic thing but I guess that's just not us. "Spend a Little More and Stay Next Door!"
My advice... Pay the extra to stay at the Georgian Terrace next door. I've stayed there before and it's well worth the extra money. About this experience... when I went to check in, there wasn't a very good indication of where exactly you're supposed to check in. There were TWO employees at the "desk", and neither of them paid any attention to me until […] I finally asked if this was indeed where I could check in. They were nice enough, but handed over my room keys and parking key without any information about WHERE to park (which isn't evident because the garage belongs to and is labeled "The Georgian Terrace") or where my room was located, which fortunately was written on the key folder. The room itself was TINY. It reminded my husband and I of some NYC hotels we've stayed in, but this is Atlanta... not Times Square. I also paid an additional charge for a room with a "view of the city". My room was on the back of the building on the third floor with a view of the Georgian Terrace parking garage, and just below was the roof of a lower section of the building with a bunch of AC units. The bathroom was so small that you could hardly turn around in it. It was literally a 6' x 6' square that included a shower, sink and toilet. My only positive experience there was when I checked out with Joshua. He was absolutely delightful! My husband and I often attend events at The Fox and Shakespeare's Tavern, but I can assure you, we won't be staying at Hotel Indigo again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Good, solid hotel. Staying Midtown can get expensive. Indigo is a great value, not too expensive and a really nice hotel. Lobby area is very stylish, great décor. When we checked in our room, it smelled like smoke. It is a non-smoking hotel so we complained to the front desk. & we found out that there is a $350 fine for smoking! We were moved to another smoke free room. The beds were comfortable but I noticed some dust by the bed & one our washcloths had make-up on it. The bathroom was tiny but it was fine for […] one night. Also, I heard several sirens go up & down the street all night which made for a restless night. Not the hotel's fault, but maybe soundproof windows would help. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
