not good for the first time at a Comfort Inn. room was very warm and the air conditioning unit wouldn't stay on, so I left the window open all night to get cool air in.

...had to change rooms 3 times because the heat was not working. Hotel is old and needs updating. Bathroom had mold on walls. Breakfast was nice but on 3rd floor. Except for the heat problem, the bed was comfortable.

Friendly hotel and the breakfast in the morning great for the family. Hotel somewhat dated but clean enough. The swimming pool / whirlpool need to be cleaned more often is the only negative I had.

We stayed here for two nights in February in order to ski at Killington. Killington is only about 15 minutes from the hotel so the location is good. The hotel itself is about what you would expect from a cheaper scale hotel: very little noise insulation, average to below average upkeep, and average to below average comfort. We were stuck in a room right […] beside a hallway door so you could hear every person who came down the hallway. Also, our room door rattled anytime anyone walked by. The heater put out very little heat and rattled as well. Stayed years ago when it was brand new and we were back in the area and it was our first choice. Close to downtown Rutland where our function was being held. Having breakfast included certainly helped with expenses.

I went with a couple of friends snowboarding at killington. Initially we wanted a closer place, but due to the fact that it was the holiday season and we wanted a place with a jacuzzi for decent price we settled on this hotel. I'm very picky; cleanliness and good beds are by far the most important things. The beds in this place were fairly new and […] very comfortable, as well as while its not newly renovated its still a very clean place. The jacuzzi was empty at night, which was great for us. The breakfast was a regular hotel breakfast - nothing too exciting, but then again that's not something that's a primary concern to me. For the price I was somewhat disappointed. It had a run down feeling. The staff were pleasant but our room was stuffy, we couldn't get the fan to stay on. I had to call for the linens for the sofa bed since there were 3 of us staying in a room with 1 queen and the sofa bed.

We arrived around 10 and when we got to the room the card wouldn't work, but there was a TV on in that room. I went back down to the desk explaining to the front desk staff that the key not work, and I suspected there was already someone in there. She insisted that was not the case, did not call the room to check but instead gave me another set of keys […] to use. When we opened the door, there was somebody in the room assigned to us and we opened the door on them late at night. The situation was completely embarrassing and awkward. The front desk staff was not apologetic, continued to be rude and only after asking twice did she finally call up to the room to confirm that I was correct. We did get another room for the night, but this is a situation that I can only hope never happens again. There was no offer for compensation and no real apology. Given this experience, it will be very unlikely that I will ever book a room at a Comfort Inn again regardless of price. Read more

This hotel is not your top of the line hotel but it is realtively clean, comfortable, and in a very convenient location. You're close to several shopping, dining, and sight seeing options. The breakfast that's included is adequte and a quick way to get your caloric intake so you can get to the mountains early. It is within a half an hour of both Pico, […] and Killington mountains, and the pool and hot tub are a nice way to end the day after skiing, or boarding. Enjoyed our overnight stay in this conviently located hotel. It's not the best, but far from the worst we have stayed in. Plus they have a nice pool. Very comfortable. Excellent water pressure, lots of options for the two hour continental breakfast. There is someone available 24/7, which was nice. TV with lots of stations. Will need some "upgrading" at some point, however you can't beat the price for the value of comfort and service.

Those who had trouble finding this place didn't use a GPS, ours took us straight there. Yes, it's off the main drag quite a bit, but that really helps keep the noise down, and we had a window open all night. Of course, it was very hot in there, they really had the heat cranked up in the hallways, but an open window did help. The carpet was a bit 'wavy […] gravy' and it looked like the TV cable wall jack had a bit of strain on it, but everything worked. The bathroom has an odd configuration, but once you figure out how to get in and out, it's OK. The room was plenty big, and the bed was OK. The breakfast was the standard cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice and the obligatory waffle machine, but the lady helping in the breakfast room was very friendly, making sure that everyone had a chance to get what they wanted before she put everything away at the end of the appointed breakfast time. This was my first trip with a dog and I have learned that this does pose an extra problem or two when you are traveling but cannot figure out how the pet friendly hotels seem to always put me on an upper level floor as far from the elevator as possible and this one even had me tromping through breakfast as I was packing up the car to leave. This was a poor experience. The clerks seemed bothered if you asked for help and one seemed more interested in a local hottie than the guests. The bed was uncomfortable with pillows that looked like they'd been take from a couch or loveseat. Fortunately, we only stayed one night!
