"Bucket List Item"
The Peabody and their Duck March has been an item on my bucket list since I first learned of it about 10 years ago. It was a great experience and I can't wait to go back! The room was clean and well-appointed with plenty of room and a great bed, the staff friendly and welcoming and eager to help. The place was teeming with guests yet the staff made […] us feel as if we were the only ones there. Room service was quick and very good, a little pricey for an omelette but given the star rating, to be expected. The Duck March was so fun and lively! The surrounding area is a bit sketchy at night coming in from out of town but I was aware of Memphis' reputation beforehand and went directly to the hotel since it was so late. Would have loved to take the hotel history tour but ran out of time. Beautiful hotel in so many ways -- fountains, decorated ceilings, shopping opps galore! They let me keep my keys as a souvenir and the Duck Master signed my book from the gift shop too. Looking forward to taking a trip there again soon! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Hotel was superb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay at The Peabody. It is an old classic that makes one feel pampered, not rushed. Why stay at a cookie cutter hotel when one can stay in a bit of history?Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"What a hotel should be: Grand!"
We found ourselves swept back in time because of the service. The staff did everything they could to make our stay amazing. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to the Peabody Club. The extra money is more than compensated for in the upgraded amenities such as breakfast and the evening snacks. The spa was great, and our massage and mani-pedi was a bargain. […] The duck parade is whimsical and perfectly Southern. All of the downtown attractions are in walking distance, perfect for walking off rich food, and we felt safe all the time. Ignore the panhandlers and just go have fun. We will be going back! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Staying at the Peabody"
We enjoyed our stay at The Peabody. It was highly recommended to us and pretty much lived up to its reputation. However the double beds seemed a little on the small side compared to other hotels we have stayed in and also the service in one of the bars was not very good and there was a long wait for drinks etc. These are only minor things but I think […] they could be addressed for future guests. The overall standard of the hotel was wonderful. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A must do"

"A Southern Classic"
Anyone that knows Memphis knows this is the crown jewel of the South. From the ducks to the food everything is memorable. I had a double room and the bathroom is very crowded with a pedestal sink with zero counter space. The sink has a very tall mirror in front of it and they would have been better to shorten the mirror and allow for a shelf to put […] even a toothbrush. That being said I will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Beale street."
Absolutely loved the hotel--beautiful. Enjoyed the piano in the lobby. The ducks are a must see. Our room had updated beds, but you could barely get into the bathroom, it is so very very tiny. standing sink--no place to put a hair dryer, or make up. Very inconvenient. Parking is awful. Long way to walk afte parking (w/luggage) when you do find the parking […] lot! My recommendation: You MUST see the hotel, but stay someplace cheaper. Paying $277 a night for the room is ridiculous. I'd recommend Westin near beale st. sorry!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Extremely disappointing - MOLD in bath & more"
Extensive mold found in bath tub. Staff was unwilling to let me speak with the mgr. As I had a cell ohone photo, they eventually got maintance satff on it and offered an upgrade & did not honor the comimentary parking offered. Staff was certainly NOT as friendly/attentive as other hotels on our trip. On asking about a business center for a printer for […] our boarding passes, we were told there is none and could use a FedEx office. The hotel is definately living off of its past reputation. We enjoyed our stay, the room and hotel itself was beautiful and excepted a small bathroom due to the time period in which it was built. I would bring my family and stay againGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grand hotel, lacked the fine touches"
While the hotel itself was great, the service wasn't what you'd expect from a nice hotel. We ordered a crib for our room, when the gentleman arrived with a pack and play I showed him where I'd like it set up. He simply dropped the pack and play and left - didn't set it up. After dinner we got back to our room and there was a random mini refrigerator […] dropped in the middle of our floor - turned over on its side. While we didn't order a refrigerator we were glad to have it bc of the baby. However - I was surprised that somebody would have dropped in the middle of the floor - and not set it up and plug it in before they left the room. The next morning we ordered room service with coffee and we didn't get cream or sugar. The line at the Concierge service was always long and slow. The woman was clearly the only person working and it was evident that the hotel needed more than one Concierge. All and all my complaints are minor. My point is that while it appears to be a high quality hotel, all of the small touches with customer service are missing. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved staying in the hotel. The hotel service was excellent. The staff went out of their way to make us happy. The location is perfect. We will definitely stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The "superior" room was very small with a very small bathroom. I had booked a king size bed room overlooking the river. I got two small double beds, with a view of a brick building. The $18.00 per day parking charge is outrageous, and quite frankly, so is the room price. ($355.00 for one night - which would have been ok if the room had actually been […] bigger than a closet, - with comfortable beds - no the price was still outrageous.)The march of the Ducks was cute, nice for the kids, but almost impossible to photograph. the walk from the hotel to the 3d floor parking garage is quite lengthy, with no direct elevator service to the lobby. The beds were not comfortable. I woke up with a back ache. The staff was cordial and knowledgeable. Room service was excellent. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice Historic Hotel"
Overall stay was great. Only complaint was I was asked to pay a $30/day upgrade fee for a King Room, when my original booking on hotels.com was for 2 doubles or 1 king. I said yes because I wanted the king, then questioned reception later after reviewing my original reservation details. She then explained to me I was pating for an upgrade to an executive […] room with a king bed, not a standard king room. I felt deceived. Watch out for room service too. There is a $4.00 delivery fee, as well as, a 21% service fee added!!! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not that Amazing"
Some of the staff could have been friendlier and more helpful-mostly just at check-in. The elevators are really slow. I wouldn't really bother with the duck show. The hotel was very busy (which we expected due to the holiday) and we might have gone on the rooftop except that they seem to let anyone on the rooftop. Hotel guests have no special access […] and because it was 4th of July it was always too busy for us. Overall the room is comfortable. Bathroom is just normal. They really need to get better wifi though. Even when I was downstairs it didn't work well. Nothing really wrong, but nothing really great either. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Historic or tired"
Wow...had no idea that the city of Memphis was so down trodden and really not doing well financially. The Peabody fits in well with that description. The attached shopping mall is all boarded up and generally this property is tired and in need of updating. The bathrooms in the rooms are super tiny but somewhat expected in a historic property. We were […] dissappointed that there was not a hair dryer in the room. The closeness to Beale Street was nice and of course the 50 yard walk to The Rendevouze (best BBQ in the world) was perfect. Room was clean and nicely appointed. It was a bit concerning that the parking garage was all enclosed with fencing ... Leaving one to feel the area was not safe. Overall the hotel staff was average. "MUST STAY AT THE PEABODY!!!"
Everyone should splurge for at least one night to stay at the Peabody, Memphis!!! Absolutely gorgeous, stately hotel which is also an historical landmark. Breathtaking lobby with gorgeous views from the main and second floor. Fun, impressively talented pianist in the lobby. Glittery shops off of the lobby. But the most fun was the duck march!!! You […] have GOT to see the duck march! It was so ADORABLE at 5pm that we made sure to stay to see the 11am the next morning! Go the whole way to the sky deck to see the duck palace too. Stay somewhere else and just walk in the lobby if you want to see the ducks.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the Peobody staff appeared to be trying to provide assistance, there was a lot of confusion. This was gererated and propagated from the registration area.personally, I think that is not a good thing! I required oversized parking for my rig. Will definitely stay again when in Memphis. Right across the street from the Memphis Redbirds and a block from Beale Street. Couldn't ask for a more perfect location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A delightful stay at the Peabody. I'm glad I opted to stay in the lobby to get a good seat for the duck march since the crowds begin forming 30-45 min before the ducks arrive. If were ever in the area again- we will stay at the Peabody!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel lacks conveniences and comforts expected of a hotel of its level. The Chez Philippe overpriced ($400 for two) for poorly "chef" prepared cuisine.Genuine Expedia guest review

Great Hotel, generally great service. The beds were comfortable, which I find is rate in hotels, even good ones. My only complaint is that the Concierge service is a little inexperienced. They would do better to have some more seasoned people in that position.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not worth the money"
The hotel is located near Beale St. and some great food spots, it has a famous reputation, and to hotel is beautiful, but that's all the good thing I can say. The room wasn't anything special, nor was the service. The staff is very pretentious, and botched my Room with the King trying to give me a double bed then told me there was an extra charge for […] the King until I pulled my email from Hotels.com. This wasn't uncommon for my stay as numerous bookings for the wedding party I was with had issues with getting their correct rooms, and even pre-booking through hotels.com I had issues with the wedding block. The icing on the cake was check out day when it took me 20 minutes to get to the lobby as they had 2 working elevators, one for guests and one for the ducks. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything was what The Peabody is known for; first class character, stunning lobby, attentive personnel, etc. I would rate the overall experience at a B + with my impression diminished only by its price to value. Its a fine hotel, they know it and charge more than its worth.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Absolute worst hotel stay!"
Room is very small..there was no power in the bathroom. Cigarette butt and hairpin on the floor for our entire 4 day stay meaning no vacuuming was done. We left very early one morning, came home very late the same evening to find our room not touched dirty towels and washcloths were still on the bathroom floor, nothing to bathe with that night. Couldn;t […] use anything ie. hairdryer, shaver in bathroom, as there was no power in there. Parking very hard to navigate.. two blocks away. We were charged for 4 days of parking, we only parked our car in their garage two days, we left our car at our sons two of the nights. We have stayed at many hotels throughout our travels and have never been so dissatisfied... terrible value, would never stay there again! Plus I don't like suited security every few feet looking at you, sizing you up. Just an awful experience! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel, service needs improvement."
First, we paid for a king bed through expedia. When we checked in we were told that our reservation was for twin beds. The front desk person Quentin did a great job and was very efficient. The valets seemed they were lost most of the time and were understaffed. We would call using the "Valet" button on our phone; when we would get to the valet, they […] would have no idea we called. Multiple times we pulled up and 5 doormen would be standing around, but no valets. I asked what do we need to do. One doorman said, "Oh just wait a few minutes, he will be back." We ended up waiting 5 minutes. Apparently none of the doormen could receive our vehicle. I called for a coffee maker (the rooms do not have makers in them), the next morning after I made coffee I realized the maids took our coffee cups and did not replace them. I called for some cups. TOOK 45 minutes to have 2 coffee cups brought up. The hotel is beautiful, the shoe shine Patrick did a great job and was very friendly. Very touristy and was packed!
