Our stay at the Peabody was WONDERFUL!!! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the hotel itself was amazing!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely historic hotel but parking is difficult"
Lovely room, small double beds though, lobby/hotel beautiful but didn't get to see the ducks ( got there after the crowds). Parking was difficult because we didnt' know where to park, circled hotel several times. We found out where the Peabody parking garage was after we parked two blocks away in a different garage. We would stay again, hopefully at […] a cheaper rate and now we know where to park. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great historic place to visit and rates are reasonable. Don't miss the duck March at 11 am and 5 pmGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Way overpriced! Parking and hidden charges equal price of comparable room in other hotel/motelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Blues lover. Loves Peabody"
I went for the International Blues Challenge. Beale St. Is an easy walk from the Peabody so I was able to see All of the competition.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
One night stay was great. Stayed on the club level and I'm not sure I will be able to go back to a regular room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great historic hotel!!! Love the rooms and the lobby is without compare. Nice soft piano jazz playing most of the evening. Perfect little bar and plenty of chairs to meet and talk with people.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Januray quite time to go relax in Memphis."
Really liked it, would go back. Had one restaurant closed, and free morning coffee all the way downstairs. Mattress needed to be replaced in one of our rooms. Both pop machines broken for days, had to walk to walgreens for supplies.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We arrived to a very crowded lobby because it was time for the ducks to leave. Quite a madhouse. It would have been better to arrive at least an hour earlier to avoid that and to possibly get a table. We did get a table later and sat down for drinks. Great people watching and very nice music. The room was very comfortable and view from rooftop was […] excellent. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"The place to stay"
The Peabody is a real treat. The clerk at the front desk (Macy?) offered to move my wife and me into a better room at no extra charge since one was available and it was fantastic. The hotel is a beautiful historic treasure in Memphis and definitely the place to be. Great hotel, great room, great service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We will go back to Memphis if for no other good reason than to stay at the PeabodyGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place for a low rate"
I was only here overnight but it was suitable for the price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"New Year's Eve"
Only complaint is I forgot my phone charger in the room and it was never turned in. So apparently the staff is accustomed to keeping whatever they find after guests check out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"the best. a classic. we loved it."
there's a reason this hotel has been around for 70+ years.. it's beautiful, the rooms are great and each member of the staff i encountered were super friendly and helpful. Can't say enough good things about my experience there.. and Ive stayed there many times over the past 25 years. They never disappoint... don't miss the duck parade at 5pm. it was […] super packed..and we enjoyed a night cap at the wonderful lobby bar late night. great bartender too. 5 stars all around. We stayed at the Peabody for just one night as we passed through on our way to Nashville. I am so glad that we made the stop. Everything about this hotel was great. The location was fantastic being walking distance to Beale Street and in the heart of historic downtown. Seeing the ducks just added a special little memorable touch.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
When you pay over $300 for a room at The Peabody, you're not paying for a quality room. You are paying for the fancy lobby, the ducks in the fountain and the history of what this old hotel once was. The common areas are lovely. The rooms are tiny and the double bed is too small for two people. We had two nights of tossing and turning. It was miserable. […] Only to be topped by the old, musty smell in the room. The bathroom is so small and poorly designed, you have to bring the items you need in shifts. The service was a disappointment from start to finish. Checking in took 20 minutes with the desk agent, not including waiting in line. The rooms were prepaid, it should not take that long. We waited over a half hour for our luggage to come to the room and had to call to find out where it was. The valet took forever to bring the car around even when we called 10-15 minutes ahead of time. I rarely write reviews, but this experience was so disappointing I hope my review will save others the headache. There are other nice hotels in this same area for better prices. If you want to see the march of the Peabody ducks, which is pretty cool, it's open to the public. You don't have to stay at the hotel. Unless there are renovations to the rooms, we won't be staying again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great historical hotel"
Great historical hotel ... they have been at the current location since the 1920's, so the rooms are small and old. You are paying for the lobby and the experience. Our family had a blast staying over Christmas. We will go again. You can walk to: Sun Studios, Civil Rights Museum, Beale Street, Riverfront and more.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Christmas at The Peabody"
A must at Christmas, the property was beautifully decorated with traditional trees and holly. The rooms are spacious and inviting. If you're a carnivore try Texas de Brazil for a wonderful meal ( in the courtyard). The lobby lounge was very busy but the staff was attentive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Hotel for Family Getaway durIng Christmas!"
The Peabody Memphis was an excellent choice! During Christmas, it is the most beautiful hotel I've ever seen. The staff was wonderful with great service and suggestions for restaurants and other activities. The march of the ducks was a great touch!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The Peabody Memphis"
We stayed during the Christmas holidays and enjoyed that the hotel was so beautifully decorated. The hotel was almost perfect except for the small bathroom(almost expected in a historic hotel) and the slow shower drain. The decor was beautiful and the staff was wonderful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a great hotel. The bathrooms and rooms seem to be smaller than I remember - perhaps due to the renovations. Everything was excellent other than this.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice place to get away--Rendevous right next door"

We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The staff is courteous and helpful. The rooms are lovely and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed just wandering about in the lobby and mezzanine taking in the view and the architecture. Highly recommend this hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Peabody really knows how to do Christmas. The tree, the garlands and the piano will get you into the mood or just help you celebrate the joys of Christmas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was incredible.. Hotel is beautiful and staff were more than accommodating. Surrounded by history and yet the beds are like sleeping on a cloud. I will definitely be back!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Thanksgiving Ever!!!"
Each and every aspect of the Peabody is fantastic. The only exception is the Capriccio Grill. The Capriccio offered a thanksgiving dinner. We made reservations for 8:30. When we were seated this place looks like a fine dining Denny's however, I am sure that our waiter was at least trained by the Denny's franchise. When our party decided against wine […] with our meal, the wine glasses were never removed. Our waiter could not wait for us the look over the menu as we were trying to decide if the turkey day faire was indeed what we wanted. We had an appetizer, saw what was served to the table next to us (the 3 course t-day dinner) and decided against the whole place entirely. I am glad that we had our real dinner elsewhere. "SO glad we stayed!!!"
What a beautiful hotel, especially at the Holidays! The history, the ducks, the room....just magical. We simply loved it! My only negative comment would be that the staff could use better "hospitality training". Many were wonderful but several others were just clueless when it came to genuine customer service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"More than just the Ducks!"
This was a great place to stay. It was so much more than just ducks! The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas - the Tree was HUGE! We did get to see the duck walk and they were true to their advertisement...they were ducks and they certainly walked right into the fountain. They were somewhat arrogant in that they would not stop and sign autographs […] but I guess you can't ask much of a bunch of ducks. We all had fun. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"2 day vacation in Memphis"
Beautiful and elegant hotel. Felt comfortable and safe.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was beautiful. It's location was perfect for being able to walk to restaurants and shopping. The lobby bar was comfortable and I especially like the woman playing the piano, she was awesome. I would highy recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I are long time customers of the Peabody. We were shocked during our recent stay. It started with our room, 2 double (double, not queen) beds. We were looking forward to our preference of a king size bed. Things got worse as we noticed we could over hear normal conversations from the adjoining room next door. The noise level grew and continued […] until we my wife called the front desk around midnight. Things were quiet until the next morning when our neighbors woke up. Lastly, my wife could not find the hair dryer (check top shelf in closet). She called the desk to have one brought up. When asked if she needed it right away, she explained yes, she was ready to shower and checkout was fast approaching. The hair dryer arrived about an hour later. Our 1 night stay approached $300 with parking. Upon discussing our concerns with the front desk, the clerk was not prepared to offer anything but an apology. We will be trying the Madison in the future. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
They would not honor my booking since I went through a third party hotels.com. They made me pay an additional 40 dollars a night to get the room I initially reserved. The bathroom is very small. The security latch on the door to the hallway was broken. There were burnt out light bulbs in the room. I would not stay there again. Way overpriced for the […] quality. "Duck Friendly Hotel"
I had an enjoyable stay at The Peabody Memphis. I was there for a workshop and the facility we worked in was good and the service at the hotel was excellent, especially Janine, in Capriccio's restaurant. I would stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review
We reserved a room w/King size bed but upon arrival we were given a room w/2 queen beds when addressed we were told that it a King Room wasn't available and if we wanted a King we would have to pay for an upgrade (BTW this reservation was paid for 4 months in advance on the receipt was listed King size bedroom. After a brief dispute with the reservationist […] she gave us what our reservation said but with an attitude. No way to start your stay. We arrived on Saturday late afternoon sleeping thru the night the heat in our room didn't work so we froze. Sunday morning we asked the maid to contact maintenance while we were gone for the day to have it fixed well that didn't happen so we had to call and wait to make sure the repairs were made it took 2 repair men to fix it . Needless to say it wasn't fixed the heat wouldn't stop. Monday they had to come back finally the temperature was perfect oh yes Tues go home so one goods night sleep hmmm. First thing Tuesday morning the bill is under the door and they are charging extra for the gym that was closed for renovations. They charged $18.00 per day for parking you would think that maybe they would have not charged our credit card for that but graciously they didn't charge us for the gym amenities. Bad customer service. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"College Girlfriends Getaway"
My college girlfriends and I came to Memphis for our annual weekend getaway - which we've been doing for 15 years. An amazing town and an amazing hotel. We all agreed, it was our best trip yet! All I can say is, If you're going to Memphis, stay at the Peabody. The service, location and, of course, the ducks, can't be beat!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
