All was great until fire alarms at 5:15 Lol But everything was actually great would definitely return next time I'm in Memphis. Great place to be Memphis only 4.5 hours away. Loved the duck ceremonyGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Beautiful Historic Hotel"
It was such a beautiful Hotel and so much history. Easy to imagine yourself in an old movie, with such magnificent decor - very classy hotel. All staff members were most polite and helpful. The Restaurant downstairs was great. The Deli had awesome array of cakes, however some of the staff members were less than interested and almost rude on one particular […] day. The gym and pool are really good and very well equipped. Highly recommend this motel - it's fabulous. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I felt like royalty during my stay at the Peabody. I recommend it highly!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Truly the south's "grand hotel". Excellent service, fabulous room, the bed was the most comfortable I have EVER found at a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The in house restaurants were too notch. The location was perfect for walking to Beale Street, and other attractions. I was actually sad to leave the place! Highly recommend!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

While the Peabody is famous, and the ducks are quite a show, the rooms are small. I'm glad that I stayed once, but will not return.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Stopover to New Orleans Jazz Fest"
Picked the Peabody due to its historical presence and location near the blues and Beale St. Although a little pricey, it was worth the experience to stay there at least once... and would consider another stay depending on the circumstances.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Historic hotel in the heart of Memphis"
Overall-a great experience. This hotel lives up to its reputation. It has many unique features and the service is great. The hotel lobby had a delightful ambience. The location is ideal and within walking distance to most sights with the exception of Graceland. Seeing the Peabody ducks march was fun too. Would definitely stay again.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Superior example of a Southern hotel experience"
If you ever wanted to experience an elegant hotel, with courteous employees, a unique experience at 11:00 am and 5:00 pm, and a real taste of Southern charm, a weekend at the Hotel Peabody can provide all of the above. Every employee, from the wait staff, to the housekeeping staff, to the front desk, made sure the "Peabody" experience was no less than […] top notch. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A stay at the Peabody should not be missed! Wonderfully classic yet very cool hotel!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Bad service but good hotel"
We arrived late and the hotel was far from fully booked. We had booked 2 king rooms with hotels.com but they told us that any third-parties were not eligble to book such rooms and if we wanted to upgrade that would be another 20USD/MT. A professional stafff would not mention anything if they weren't fully booked and the rate that we had paid equalled […] a king size room. Apart from that the hotel is located downtown close to beale street. One of our rooms was very clean and tidy, the other one clearly needed some renovation but overall ok standard. We stayed the night with our two kids. We really enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the ducks. We would stay again when in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice accommodations for extra special getaway"
We had a wonderful time the night we stayed and the staff was very nice. I only wish the people who stayed the night before hadn't felt the need to set an alarm to wake me up at 5:30 in the morning. I guess it's asking a lot for the maid staff to glance at those when they clean, so I will make that a new routine every time I stay in hotels now.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The pillows are to die for! Walking down to Beale Street from the hotel was a real plus.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Peabody definitely lives up to its reputation. Only real criticism is that bathroom was too small in our particular roomGenuine Expedia guest review
Enjoyed our stay, rooms were comfortable and clean, smaller than we had anticipated for the price, the bathroom was very compact. Overall I would say a lovely hotel but somewhat overpriced.Genuine Expedia guest review
The Peabody is a wonderful hotel. However, I found the room - especially the bathroom to be extremely small. There was no place for personal toiletries. Also, our room did not get made up until very late in the day. Otherwise the hotel was a very pleasurable experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"plenty of entertainment near by"
A little confusing to first time visitor, ( parking, check in, etc. ) but once you've learned your way around, it's a great experience. Very clean and well maintained. We had a very enjoyable two night stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to Beal Street Food and Music"
We were impressed. The History of the Hotel, the people who have stayed there and the Ducks were entertaining. First Class place and you pay for that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved our stay at The Peabody. The lobby of that hotel is truly delicious to the eye. The ducks make it magical. Housekeeping and bellhops extremely courteous. Our room was impeccably clean and appointed. Gift shops are overpriced. One night we ordered two desserts and 4 cups of coffee and the bill was $53! Free coffee in the bakery is nice. Everything […] in the bakery is incredibly good. Review your bill well because we had been charged $26 for something in error.I hope that I can talk my husband into staying there again because I truly enjoyed. "Excellent hotel in downtown Memphis"
We visited downtown Memphis for an extended weekend to experience Graceland, Mud Island, barbeque among other things. We chose The Peabody Hotel for its location, ratings and general appearance. After we booked, we heard some glowing reviews from some friends and family. The Peabody lived up to its reputation. The hotel was beautiful and the room was […] very nice. The hotel location was great; we walked everywhere that we went. The March of the Ducks was a spectacle to be seen; a Ringling Brothers-esque introduction at both the entrance and exit times. The lobby was packed for each event. We used the valet service and found it to be very good. If and when we return to Memphis, we will not look at any other hotels. The overall experience was very good. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Hotels.com contract with the Peabody"
I was informed by the Peabody front desk that Hotels.com is not contracted to guarantee King rooms. They were going to put my wife and I in a room with one double bed! After some discussion with the manager they put us in a King room. I will never book a "High-End" hotel through Hotels.com. Beware of the fine print!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything that the hotel staff could control was well done. The room was spacious, comfortable and downright luxurious. The facility was clean and appeared to well-maintained. I would highly recommend it. The location is also very convenient if you are doing anything downtown, such as the FedEx Arena or Beale Street. I even walked easily to the National […] Civil Rights Museum, though I would recommend that most people take a taxi. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Peabody Hotel Deserves 'A+++++' Rating!"
A fun week-end trip with no worries about details. The Peabody staff met all requests almost before they could be voiced, including assigning us the requested "room with a skyline view" overlooking the Mississippi River. Will definitely stay there when in MemphisGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautifully preserved, high quality, convenient"
It is rare that I will pay Peabody rates, but decided to spring for one night and it was worth it for the experience. The aesthetic quality of everything from the paintings on the wall to the linens with embroidered ducks was superb. We stayed in a room with two double beds. The bathroom was well designed to provide surfaces and hooks that were lovely […] and useful, though small by today's modern hotel sizes. I enjoy thoughtful expert design linked to the past but modernized--the Peabody is a case of perfection. The materials and workmanship could never be reproduced today so it is a privilege to still be able to enjoy it. Our experience was entirely pleasant. We walked everywhere. Be aware that there is a service charge added to the bill and that self-parking is fairly steep. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Comfort at its Best"
Peabody is outstanding in comfort and service. The center bar area is the best with comfortable seating , great drinks , music and cute ducks. The beds and pillows ( very important ) are excellent. You can't go wrong with staying at the Peabody.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"it was great really love the duck"
i would come back.EVERYBODY WAS NICE STAFF YOU VERY HELP AND THERE IT YOU NEED THINGGenuine Expedia guest review
We chose the hotel primarily because of the pool. When we arrived, we were upsold on a larger room, but weren't told that the pool was being reconstructed either before or during our arrival. Hotel staff seemed unconcerned when we told them of our frustration. The "larger" room was not very large after all. "Beautiful Iconic Hotel"
I had visited the Peabody in 1988 to enjoy a glass of wine and the ducks. I came back to visit family in the area and decided to stay in the hotel I so fondly remembered. It did not dissappoint. I took the suggestion at check-in to upgrade to a room that included concierge floor privleges and parking. It was wonderful and the staff was amazing.Genuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at the Peabody for a long weekend in February. The hotel was just lovely, the ducks were so very fun, the food was very good. I will say, the staff were only okay. That includes the front desk, the restaurant and bar staff, and the shop staff, unfortunately. Again, it was a lovely hotel and we will stay again, just reset our expectations.Genuine Expedia guest review
"a brief 2-day visit"
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Too long of a wait to check-in. A pianist in the lobby is to be expected; the repeating tape was a huge disappointment. A live person played for only a very brief time. The incidentals are exorbitantly priced: a carton of yogurt for $3.50!! Charge for a hotel tour?? $18 a day for parking? $11 charge for internet? […] The hotel should pick up these charges, or at least have the ducks do it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Amazing staff, second to no one"
From the moment we pulled up to the valet, till the time we checked out, we were treated w professionalism, courtesy and grace. The room was large and comfortable (club level), The club level does have some amenities, breakfast, happy hour, then cookies. the breakfast was disappointing, we only ate there once, but my husband loves large breakfasts. […] You are not going to get that on he club level, however, downstairs was another story. If you are debating which hotels to stay at in Memphis, you wil not be disappointed in the Peabody. "Romantic Valentine's Weekend"
Such an AWESOME stay at this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. The rooms are so pretty, especially with a view of the MS River! We had a double queen room. It included a desk area, chair, dresser with flat screen tv, full length mirror in room, makeup area with plenty of lighting, and cute bathroom. Very nice counter tops. The hotel is beautiful inside the lobby as well as the rooms. It has a very luxurious feel to it as soon as you set foot inside. The duck show was fun. "Hotel with a big history"
The atmosphere and the historical surrounding is very pleasant, this place is really the classical Grandhotel of the early 20th Century. You don`t find this very often nowadays. Like a living museum. The room was rather small tough, and the price was high. Extremely small and narrow bathroom. But, well, it was clean and a rather unique experience to […] stay in a place like this. "Absolutely beautiful hotel! But one bad night..."
The hotel is amazingly beautiful. Upon walking in, I felt like I was no longer in Memphis. The rooms are just incredible. For the amazing beauty of this hotel I would have expected a few things to not happen that did. 1) our 1 night in the hotel was interupted, quite rudely, by the room next door. Apparently, a guest had purchased 2 rooms; 1 for children […] and the parents were across the hall! This left us dealing with screaming, dancing, loud music and doors slamming well past 2am! When we called at 10pm to complain to the hotel, he only told the parents that the children should not open doors if they are left alone. We were appalled that a hotel of this caliber would allow such negligence and disrespect to the other guests. I have never had to make room requests in my past travel, but I fear it is a requirement here... Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
