"Perfect First Night"
Very nice. Perfect first night honeymoon spot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Beautiful place to stay but...."
I love this hotel. It's really beautiful. However, I surprised at how small the room was, particularly the bathroom. Everything in the bathroom was so crowded that there was no place to set anything out. I'm sure they're bigger rooms are better, but I was still disappointed given the price of a standard room.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Everyone smiles when they are at the Peabody!"
Took our son to Memphis for his 21st birthday. Staying at the Peabody was one of the highlights of the trip. Staff was excellent and the atmosphere in the hotel is truly soothing. Everyone smiles while they are at the Peabody!Genuine Expedia guest review
Loved it! Wonderful hotel and staff...Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"For the price it should have been cleaner."
Bathtub not clean and pool needed updating. Didn't seem clean.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wonderful Hotel Right Downtown."
The location of the Peabody in downtown Memphis gave us great "walking distance access" to a majority of the sites that we wanted to see. Although somewhat small, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel staff was courteous and very helpful. After a long day of walking around Memphis the hotel lobby was an elegant and pleasant place to have […] a nightcap before turning in. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Wonderful, classic, historic, excellent hotel."
Loved the experience, the room, the ducks. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Walked to many attractions. Can't say enough good about your hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Bed is astoundingly comfortable!!"
My family loved everything about our stay at the Peabody!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great hotel. Old world luxury"
It is a great hotel. The room and bathroom were small but the ambiance was great. What you lose because it is an old hotel is made up for by the charm and grace not found in the modern behemoths in downtown Memphis. I was sorry I was only there one night because the property truly is a special place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Historic Hotel that has everything"
this was the first time we stayed at the Peabody, we found it very clean, well attentive staff, beautifully decorated, piano music in the Lobby, The free History Tour is just great esp. with Doug. He has so much history to tell & took his time. The tour was to be 45 min but we enjoyed the 1 1/2 hr that he was willing to give.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great property; very small room for price."
next time, I'll stay in the Westin on Beale. Much better value/space.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to all the sights"
Great location and very friendly staffGenuine Hotels.com guest review
They haven't come into the modern age. Business center charges for usage. Should be complimentary considering the cost of staying at hotel. Hotel services charges were unconscionable. Expensive for very small bathroom. Pillows small. Ducks were great. Suggest you stay at a modern hotel and watch the ducks at 11 AM or 5 PM.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely two day stay at The Peobody Hotel, Memphis"
We enjoyed our stay at The Peabody Hotel in Memphis. The staff was gracious.. True southern hospitality. We were fortunate to stay in the Romeo and Juliet suite! Truly lovely and unique. Of course the tradition of the ducks was delightful. The pianists were talented and charming. They provided a lovely atmosphere!! Matt - excellent bellman!!Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great Hotel for Families"
The hotel experience was great. Very relaxing. My son and I have stayed there several times over the years and it gets better every time. The location and convenience for eating and shopping is great. It was a very relaxing stay. I really enjoyed the tour and learning the history of this great hotel. I noticed a lot of families were staying there.Genuine Expedia guest review
great food so much hotel history . very helpful staff perfect location too duck's marching so cool rooftop partys baseball across the street just the bestGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for anyone"
One of the most elegant and intriguing I have visited. The duck experience was so much fun, from the pageantry of the ducks marching from the fountain on the red carpet, to the Duck Palace on the roof. The hotel is also around the block from famous Beale Street, a great place to dine, shop, and experience the flavor of Memphis.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a wonderful lodging experience at the Peabody. We were there for the 80th anniversary of the ducks marching through the lobby, a fun tradition very much enjoyed by the children who were there. However, the lobby becomes mobbed for the event, and it was sometimes difficult to get to the elevators through the crowd. The hotel is centrally located […] in downtown Memphis, but its proximity to a baseball stadium and the FedEx Arena puts it in the middle of a traffic nightmare when games are being played. Room was pleasant, and the handicapped bathroom was exactly as I'd requested it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Grand hotel with exceptional service"
All staff provided top shelf customer service. Grand hotel facility is well maintained. Only downside was the noise level in the rooms, as we could hear our neighbors dialing the phone. If you are a light sleeper, I recommend getting complimentary earplugs from the front desk.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Disappointed in the hotel. The television did not work, the lights on the nightstands did not work and the sheet was torn!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel to visit"
The hotel is lively. The rooms are just fair. The carpet smelled moldy and the bathroom is impossibly little. Not even a shelf or place to put anything down. Luckily there was a dressing table or I could never have gotten ready for a wedding. The ambience of the hotel is great. The staff is friendly but did not seem particularly knowledgeable or helpful […] about sightseeing. I asked for help planning a visit to Graceland and never received any confirmation that it was taken care of. The hotel lobby and bars are very nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Our room was incredibly loud. We heard everything going on in our neighbors rooms and outside our door. Lucky us we were by an elevator so that only made matetrs worse. Check in is at 4pm and we arrived at 5:15 only to find all the rooms in the hotel were not ready and we would have to wait until a room was ready. Luckily we didn't have to wait too […] long. My guess is becasue we told them it was our honeymoon. They waived our parking fee and services fees for us having to wait. That saved us about $20-$25. We waited in line to check in for a good 20-30 minutes because the laddy working the front desk had to explain to everyone checking in about the room delay. They tried their best to compensate us but the fact is when you pay $340+ a night for a hotel room you don't expect to not be able to check in an hour after check in started. You expect the walls to not be paper thin. Also, we were staying there so we could go to a concert and we wanted to get ready and go to dinner before the concert. Due to the room delay we were forced to miss our dinner reservations and ordered room service. The room was nice enough and the bed was comfy. Doubtful we will be staying there agian. "Nice hotel but very loud"
The Peabody is a classic and it has been well maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. Room quality is what you would expect in a four star hotel with the exception of the noise. Hallway noise is extremely intrusive and was the one negative of our stay at the hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"In Memphis, take The Peabody Experience"
We just spent 2 nights at the Peabody. We wanted to stay there for the experience of an old hotel's reputation. The lobby is very attractive and the parade of ducks is a great part of the experience. The rooms are very comfortable, very clean and well tended to. All staff we encountered were very friendly and efficient. The location in downtown Memphis […] is very convenient to most downtown points of interest. Sun Studios was 5 minutes by car and Graceland, less than 15 minutes. "nice but not worth the cost"
OK , location is everything. We booked here because it is a well known historic landmark plus everything around was already Booked because of the BBQ contest. We liked the hotel, the location was good but they charge for Parking, they do a surcharge of 11.00 a day for coffee. News paper and I Dont remember what else but you Dont have a choice. Long […] story short not worth the money for a small queen bedroom. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Another good stay"
My second visit to the Peabody Hotel. Really quite lovely. The building is a little worn, but the staff was wonderful - warm, solicitous, accessible. Great location. Old world elegance. Only complaint - the door connecting our room to our (loud) neighbors was thin and uninsulated, making it difficult to ignore them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK but to expensive"
Too expensive I think...eventhough its a historic landmark type.....I don't think I would stay there again, I`d prefer another option perhaps as nice but less expensiveGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful hotel, let down by shocking staff"
The staff were a massive disapointment to this incredible hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location but expensive for what you get"
Good location with proximity to Main St and Beale St. However, expensive for room size and how much everything costs in the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not what you paid for"
This is a very expensive hotel, The lobby is wonderful and kept in great condition, However the room carpet looked dirty, the bathroom needed painting, and the tile needed cleaning.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Message From a Perfectionist!"
I recommend that everyone should experience the Peabody once in their life. The beauty of this hotel was breathtaking. Everyone that we dealt with had a smile and a warm welcome. However, they gave us a room on the 10th floor and we had to listen to the drum beats from the rooftop until 11 p.m. Our room was very beautiful but the bathroom was very small […] and I had to turn sideways to unroll the toilet tissue. There was no fan in the bathroom so, consequently, even though we left the door open to shower, it took 15-20 minutes for the steam to clear. This is a problem I don't expect from a high-end hotel. Lastly, the bed was very comfortable, but hot. We had the thermostat turned down to 66 but the air did not flow from the hallway entrance around the corner where the bed was. Now, are any of these things a deal-breaker....no. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and definitely will return for a special occasion. Next time, however, we will know what to ask for. I tend to be a bit of a clean freak, so please, Peabody, have your staff take a minute to clean the leftover grout off of the floor in the bathroom and the flaking-off, dried wallpaper paste off of the walls. Oh, and by the way, change the broken lid on the toilet in room 1019.....not impressive. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Terrific place to stay; wonderful experience."
We spent two nights there; tuesday and wednesday in late April. We elected to get an upgrade they mentioned when checking in. Stay on the 12th floor, includes parking fee and evening snacks and a free drink for each of us. $90 extra. Total cost including a surprising "hotel service fee" of $11.95 per night was mid $750. Whew. That was the most expensive […] place I've ever stayed in. The hotel was immaculate and well maintained; staff was always friendly.. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"If you want to spend some money..."
Great Place at a Great Location, but Way Overpriced. I've stayed in places where the room and service were just as good for half the price and the parking was free.Genuine Expedia guest review
We payed a lot of money! The bed they said was queen seemed like a full and the room was terribly small. And no breakfast included. The ducks were very interesting however you can come in off the streets and watch. The service was great. No real complaints just too much money for a small area and no extras.Genuine Expedia guest review
We loved our stay at the Peabody. Our room was nicely decorated and very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The concierge was full of good suggestions about things we could do during our time in Memphis. And, best of all were the lobby and the ducks. Charming!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was extremely small. But staff was very helpful and courteous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was great!! The pool, hot tub, and fitness center were fantastic! Great location-close to Beale street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Everything was almost very delightul, however there were a few things that were a disappointment. We stayed on the concierge floor, so I did expect more for the price. The 12th Floor food they provide as complimentary was the SAME menu items every day; the food was stale. the waitresses in the main lobby were somewhat rude. The employee at the news […] stand was very unprofessional and hauty. However, I come to Memphis to meet up with family and enjoy the southern hospitality and surrounding entertainment. Our room was very quiet and the view was excellent; the bed is AMAZING - so comfortable with lots of pillows. A nice getaway just to relax and see Memphis. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Classic Hotel"
We were in a brand newly remodeled room. I believe we were the first ones in it, so it was very nice. My only negative comment is that there is no coffee maker in the room. For those of us who are early risers, before the "free" coffee downstairs is available, this is an issue.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Gateway to the South"

"Please ship that bed to my house!"
I treated my sister to a night at the Peabody as a reward after a grueling cross-country move, and while we did not have much time to spend exploring all the amenities of Memphis, that might have been my most comfortable night of sleep in years...like floating on my own personal cloud. Breakfast biscuits in the hotel steakhouse were likewise airy and […] divine. I will definitely return, and for a proper longer stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice motel but really not worth the money"
Enjoyed the stay, middle price rooms small, you have to pay for wi-fi, and everything you see or partake of. Location was nice, ducks were nice, Service was good except they wouldnt stop the wild kids from running all night and hollering up and down the halls.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
