"Value for the Price"
Hotel was under renovation. My room was down a corridor with no carpet. Last night was loud as teenagers ran up and down hall well after midnight. Room was older with very shabby chair. I have never stayed at a hotel with so many problems. The problems were with the maid staff. We NEVER had a maid the entire 3 night stay, which meant there were no clean towels, no emptying of the trash, beds were not straightened, while we were gone. "worst stay I've had"
Don't know where to start! I work nights and come in some time in morning, front desk was aware of this from the start....yet cleaning crew would nock on door no less than 3 times a day while I was trying to sleep even with DND sign on door. I went to management multiple times which did NOT help Pool hours were posted as 6am til 10pm, no one unlocks […] the door til 9am....after working 16 hrs the hot tub is really nice at 7 am to loosen you up before you sleep. Hotel had loose carpet in multiple places and construction trash all over the back parking area, hallways were unfinished. The hotel can be quite difficult to get to due to being built right at a highway interchange and traffic is horrible most of the day. Had access problem with room(battery died in card reader) one employee tried to ram the door open and there was no maintenance staff to repair.....after this I would not leave personal belongings in room. The hotel seemed to be under construction during my stay. When I arrived to my room, it was cleaned but I noticed some of the furniture should have been fixed/updated. The desk had scratches on it & it was dusty. The bathroom needs major fixing. The shower head looked like it was going to fall out the wall. The bathroom ceiling needed to be repaired. The hotel is under construction. We got it at a great price. The pool and hot tub was great the first day, but on our second day there they closed down the hot tub due to problems. The breakfast was nice. Our biggest issue was that our toilet backed up and we called the front desk twice before they dropped off a plunger. They did not send someone to […] deal with the issue. So we kept the plunger because about every 3-4 flushes we had to plunge it. Also my son stepped on an earring in the pool and got it stuck in his foot. Then he found lots of bobby pins in the bottom of the pool too. I brought it to the attention of the front desk, but no manager was there to help me. The rooms and lobby have been nicely redone. It was good. The hotel is under renovations. When I first checked in the front desk agent told me I should reserve room under the hotel itself instead of a third party vendor for special treatments. Meaning that If something was wrong with the room all he could say was I'm sorry and not give me another room. "Eh ive had worse"
My fiancee and I stayed over night and went on a little river boat cruise. Our first issue was the hair dryer didn't work. It took two people to get it fixed. The first just came and fiddled with the machine then went to find the guy to bring us a new one. When he showed up he fiddled with it, unplugged everything I had hooked up and just left a new […] one lying on the counter. We were finally able to get ready to leave. We were gone about 5 hours and we came back hoping to have a little romantic time alone. The romance was difficult due to the fact that the only light that worked was the biggest and brightest in the room. We continued and went to bed. When we woke up we went down for breakfast. (I'm severly gluten intolerant to the point where a few bread crumbs make me vomit profusely) There were very few things I could eat for breakfast. Half of what was edible was over cooked dried out or rubbery. I finally settled for cottage cheese and coffee. After breakfast we packed up and headed home. On our way out to the car we noticed that the opposite side of the hotel looked to be under going some serious renovative construction. My stay at the Baymount Inn was bad except for a few perks. I had booked 3 rooms with double beds, but didn't get the 3rd room, had to settle for a queen bed and rollaway bed. Workout room was up to date; needed towels and sanitizer in there to wipe machines down after workouts. Towels were not replaced in the room after cleaned up. The lobby looked decent, but the staff was sitting around in the lounge area (every time I entered it after that too). The hotel key card reader on the side door was broken, so I had to enter through the front door instead. In the skinny hallway next to the elevator a maintenance man was working with all his equipment laid out making guests walk over […] it. I use to love staying here, but they have gotten so bad. At about 3am our beds broke down, mattress was alomost on the floor. Beds,tables and chairs was in the pool area. Im very upset about this. "will not return"
I stayed in this hotel before when it was the Hampton and they were remodeling then 2yrs later as the Belmont they are still remodeling. I grab 2 rooms on a 24hr deal @$58 per night for each room. I arrived at 10am and was told i could not check in until 3pm because nothing was available. The elevator is nasty! I was told the rooms were next to each […] other but they weren't they were down the hall from each other when I asked for them to be side by side the front desk said they couldn't do anything because all of the rooms were dirty and it was well after 3pm. The front door on one of the rooms was hard to open and just as hard to close. The shower on one room was messed up . I asked housekeeping to bring extra face cloths and they brought me hand and bath towels. The breakfast was very lame. When it was the Hampton it was a full spread. This time it was a half spread. The hotel was in the midst of renovations and the kinks were not work out of the updated rooms. The heating and air system within the room did not work and that made for a long hot night. "Clean and Comfortable"
I enjoyed my stay. The bed was comfy. The room was warm and clean besides a large stain on the arm chair and ottoman in the room.
