From the frayed and dirty carpet on the reception area stairway runners, to the ripped screens in the balcony off our room, the Quality Inn Santa Fe is a hotel in need of a major face-lift. Basic services, including front desk responsiveness to requests, lobby computer access, WiFi in room, cable tv etc. are all satisfactory. However, this place offers no frills. There are no in-room safes or writing materials in the room. Furniture is care-worn as is carpeting throughout the hotel. When we arrived, the Plaza Cafe was operating as part of the hotel. It was a great restaurant and the room rate included a very modest breakfast at the Plaza. However, the cafe abruptly closed duirng our stay, and is now relocating. Complimentary breakfast provided by the hotel after the Plaza closed was skimpy --far less generous then at other places in the same price range. I would give this Quality Inn a star and a half. Although our stay was ok, I would not recommend this hotel until it is remodeled. Our understanding is the latter will occur soon under new management.

This was a great hotel. When we stayed in Santa Fe we had no choice but to bring our pet and she was welcome here. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the balcony was a nice touch. There were several nearby restaurants within walking distance and the freeway and The Plaza were not far away. We would definately stay there again.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. For the most part, the hotel was fine. A decent place to sleep, dated decor, not very comfortable beds (better than a pull out sofa or the floor). The maid service didn't clean up or refresh the coffee supplies. One good thing was the diner attached to the hotel has awesome breakfasts and as hotel guests, we got a $3 discount each day (whether or not the discount was actually taken off the check is another story). For the rate, it was fine -- not great, not horrible, just ok.

It was all the way out the downtown area and traffic was kinda bad in that area. There were some good restuarants nearby and the restaurant at the motel itself was at least adaquate. The room was clean, smelled nice and was well appointed. The staff was friendly as well. The internet lounge was pretty slow, though. It's earned its 2.5 starts.

This is a great hotel for the price! It couldn't have been cleaner (the toilet was pretty bad and I found a cricket body on the carpet), but for the cost I can't complain much. It's not close the plaza (five minutes in the car), but it's in an ok neighborhood. The front desk staff was very helpful. The restaurant attached to the hotel was pretty gross, so I wouldn't recommend going there.

The hotel was too far off the highway(approx 7 miles). No place to get food late night. Old hotel in a not so great neighborhood. Advertised a complimentary continental breakfast but you had to choose one out of five items on a menu (in house restaurant) and then they charged you 3.00 for the item. I had a single pancake for 3.00. False advertising. Huge rip off!! The staff/service at the restaurant was excellent. Real good coffee. Front counter staff had to ask me every question twice, when you are road weary you do not need this! Beds were really comfortable but the hotel needed updates. If you are tall good luck using the showers, I am 5'7 and I had to bend to wash my hair. I would not stay here again. I have nothing against this hotel but I paid less for a nice room and a full continental breakfast at Holiday Inn Express the next night and was very satisfied.

Good quality hotel with excellent dedicated hotel staff. Because of road construction, there is not left exit out of hotel towards the tourist sites in Santa Fe. This is not a problem once a turn around is negotiated. Breakfast is very simple or choose to take a $3.00 reduction off the restaurant's regular breakfast menu. The pancake was delicious. The room offered a sliding door for nice air movement, however, the screen was broken and off the hinges, making it a security issue for us. The room was also very noisy when trying to go to sleep. Am not sure if it was another room with the fan on all night, or if one of the machines in the hallway was causing the problem. At any rate, we would not take a chance staying there again. Also, they offer a coupon for breakfast, however, the choices for this are very limited and we have had much better at other places we have stayed.

The Santa Fe Quality Inn in an older hotel which is not a bad thing. The rooms were ok and beds/pillows were comfortable. Internet access was convenient and we liked the complimentary coffee. The complimentary breakfasts were "hot meals" which was a real plus and the restaurant (separately owned) was top quality and had very good service. However, the desk personel at the hotel were not readily available or service-oriented. My fault: I did not realize when I booked the hotel that it was not convenient to the places we wanted to visit. This hotel truly stacked up to its rating. I'll choose better next time. Rita

Overall the hotel was better than what I expected for the price after comparing with others in the same area. It was a little disheartining not to be able to have room service for meals as I am disabled and walking distances is difficult for me. There was a fine resturant in the hotel and the delivery of meals would have been greatly appreciated. Even a resturant delivery guide would be nice as we have used them at other hotels and usually are satisfied. Everything else seemed to be fine though.
