Omni Austin Hotel at Southpark - Austin

My wife and I recently stayed for a night to enjoy a show and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff is super nice and the hotel has a wonderful ambiance. The only negative was trays being left in the halls for a substantial amount of the day... when I checked in at noon there was a breakfast tray outside one of the doors, when my wife and I went to […] dinner at 5 the tray was still in the hall. If that is the only negative I'll take it. Beware that there aren't many complimentary services (free apples at the check in counter) with your stay and the breakfast is pretty over priced. Service is GREAT. Employees are all GREAT. Rooms need some updating. Close to soco and downtown, but hotel is right up against 2 freeways so kinda noisey. Especially if you want to relax at the pool. Good price for what you get tho

Had a great stay. Definitely need a car to get around but you are less than 3 minutes away from SoCo and less than 5 min to downtown and 20-25 min to the outlets in San Marcos. The hotel was FULL when we got there but still received great service and on the 12th floor we didn't hear a thing. Nice and quiet.

My father was put in the hospital down the road from your hotel the friday of Memorial Day wkend in Austin. He had to stay overnight so he gave me his ccard to get a hotel room for myself, my sister and my mother. My husband is a Hilton Honors member and all they had were very limited rooms usually smoking and over $200. I happened to think of the Omni […] because my daughter went to a beauty pageant there. We got the exact room we wanted for $116. The linens were the cleanest I have ever seen or smelled. I thought the great pools would keep us up because of noise but we didn't hear a thing. The room service was EXCELLENT and comprable to a five star restaurant. My husband and I must return with the kids to take advantage of the awesome swimming pools and downstairs super swanky adult beverage service. I thought I booked my hotel at the DOWNTOWN Omni and to my suprise I had not.. After my initial shock and explaining my situation to the front desk manager at SouthPark, he tried to move me downtown, but was unable, he then offered a room upgrade. The staff was very friendly and the room comfortable. Restaurant staff was also very prompt and friendly. A little poorly designed with the bar in the middle of the lobby (especially with a plumbers convention going on) but all in all a great place to stay. Wish we had time to take advantage of the pool bc it looked great.

I got props for choosing this hotel because my friend's kids loved it (so did the parents). Probably because of the cool indoor/outdoor pool. I was only there for a night but it was nice. Comfortable room, great service. Airport shuttle picked me up in a Lincoln Navigator at no charge. I would stay again if I got the same price.

Nice clean hotel with very good service. We had noisy neighbors in the next room a couple of nights, but the front desk responded immediately to our calls and silenced them. The restaurant had good breakfasts, but way overpriced for the food. Similar with the lobby bar... almost $30 for two martinis.

The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, we were either way too hot or freezing, and even though we were on the 9th floor, traffic from the 2 highways outside kept waking us up at all hours of the night. This hotel could use renovations, but overall, it was a nice stay. Staff was helpful, and the pool looked nice, with both indoor and outdoor sections. There were several groups of kids staying at the hotel for sports tournaments and a choir trip and we were a little concerned that it might be noisy. Fortunately we were not disturbed in the least. The hotel was way over priced for the quality of the rooms. The room smelled horrible and the capret was wet and also smelled really bad. The bathroom was not much better. The shower could've used a good scrubbed down. We will never stay at this Omni again!

True for any hotel, but especially at the prices they charge and the reputation they profess, we were sorely disappointed at the cleanliness of the room. There was: used soap in the bathroom soap dish; both glasses in the bathroom were dirty; red staining (blood? cranberry juice? who knows?) on the toilet seat cover; already ice in the ice bucket with […] a carton of milk sitting in the ice. We had specified a late check-in, had been traveling since 5 am, and arrived at 11 pm, so we did not wish to wait for a room cleaning or room change at that hour and just went to bed. All staff was courteous and helpful. I got stuck at a restaurant on Friday night and had waited over 1.5 hours for a Yellow Cab. I called the hotel and the main operator had me a cab to return to the hotel in 15 minutes

I love staying at Omni, however...this trip I was disappointed. I was in Austin for personal reasons and after checking in my room and putting my personal items in the room, I went and ran my errands. I was visiting my mom at the hospital at St. Davids. When I returned to discover a rollaway bed had been placed in my room, this disturbed me. I called […] the front desk and the girl told me she would send someone up right away to remove it. Well after an hour of waiting, I went to bed after an exhausting day. I didn't need that hugh thing in my room just sitting there reminding me that I was alone. No one ever came for the bed.
