We were in Baltimore for a ceremony at the 1st Mariners Arena. The hotel is just a short walk from the hotel, less than 2 blocks. The service was wonderful. There is a nice little coffee shop at the hotel that we enjoyed. We ate dinner at the hotel...that too was very good. The room was well appointed and comfortable. We did not feel comfortable waking in the surrounding neighborhood. Not many dining options nearby. Parking was a pain so we chose valet parking. For the money a great stay.

No complaints about the room, staff, or location. The "free" or "self" parking is not specific to the hotel reservation--anyone can get it (instead of paying $15+ for valet or on-site parking). It's a few blocks away, but worth saving the money as long as one of you doesn't mind walking.

I arrived at hotel around 5:30 pm, and my room was not ready. The Front Desk Receptionist was VERY RUDE when I questioned why my room was not available for check in. Since I was not going to be able to get into my room until 6pm, I asked for a late check out. She said, "sure I will just have to charge you for an extra night, but you cannot stay an extra night cause we are booked." I asked to speak to a manager, and she laughed and said, "GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, HONEY." She never called a manager like I asked, I had no chose but to stay at hotel, since all hotels were booked due to marathon. I was so glad I only booked one night & left next day. NEVER AGAIN!

The cost to valet was $30.00 a night, which was unknown at time of booking the room. I checked into my room and went back to provide my keys to the valet and the valet offered me a spot out in front of hotel for $15. When I asked for my car in the morning it was gone and when they brought it up the valet manager asked me to pay him $30.00 and refused to give me my car keys. The GM of the hotal got involved but it was a complete hassle. The actual hotel staff were very friendly and helpful but the valet scam including the valet manager's rudeness were unacceptable!

I have stayed at the Lord Baltimore several times on business trips, and it is always comfortable and convenient. It's within walking distance of all downtown Baltimore attractions -- Camden Yards, the convention center, the Inner Harbor. The rooms do vary a bit in quality, but I have found them to be comfortable and clean. This time we asked for a king bed and got a very nice room with three windows, including one in the bathroom -- very rare and pleasant. The room has two sinks so my husband and I could both get ready. A big bonus was the free wifi. The lobby and ambiance of the building do give it an extra point in my book, depsite the fact that it isn't really a luxury hotel. If you want to stay at a place with some character and history, the Lord Baltimore is a fine hotel and much more reasonable than some others in the area.

Although this may be more of a testament to Baltimore itself, the area around the hotel did seem to be a bit on the desolate side during the weekend. The maid service would come by very early (around 10am) so we never did receive turn down service during our stay. The room could have been cleaner, small things, however there was dust around the baseboards in the bathroom, and the grout in the tub should have been whiter. Although I am aware this is an older hotel, this is no excuse for some of the condition/sandiness of the room.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson. The room was very spacious and in great condition. The customer service was great. I called housekeeping for 4 extra towels and when they came up they only brought two. It really wasn't a big deal at the moment but I was going to call back down to get them to bring 2 more towels. Not even 5 minutes went by and the manger of housekeeping called the room to make sure we received what we asked for. I told her no and she apologized and sent them back up with the extra towels. She then called back to verify we got the towels again. I thought that was a very that they called to make sure we received everything. The only complaint I had with my stay was the parking. We paid for parking in our package and the parking garage is about a block away. Usually I don't mind walking but it was a rainy weekend. So if you don't want to walk that distance it is probably better to do the valet parking. Just call and check the price from the hotel.

Excellent desk staff, as well as the guys out front. The restaurant needs improve in it's service and food, but there's so many other great places to eat. I recommend you venture out and try something new. The overall rooms are nice though the sleep number bed hype is just that-hype. Ask for a queen or king I think it would be much more comfortable especially if there are two in your party. The hotel is worth a visit for any conventioner because of the value and proximity to everything, though.

Pros: Helpful, courteous, fun staff at the desk. I had to switch stuff up a bit, and they tried to help me and not charge me for parking passes I didn't use. They were also really appreciative that I "read the fine print" about the fact that I might not get the beds I requested through hotels.com (lots of smiles and even high-fives). The room was comfy and seemed pretty typical....clean, adequate furnishings, bed was comfy, and it was easy to adjust temps. Cons: I had to pay a $20 fee for switching to the beds I requested (boo!). My roommate's sheets were stained (yick!). I have a pending amount on my credit card right now that makes me think that although they told me they wouldn't charge me for that parking pass, they did. That's uncertain tho; I won't know until it's no longer pending. Directions to the parking garage were wonky (we accidentally parked at the wrong one and the voucher wasn't valid, hence wanting the refund). Overall, I'd stay there again. I probably would park on my own, though, if I had a car.

Sure enough, it was. Thank you hotels.com. Not only was the location walkable to the inner harbor, but we were just in time for the free concierge level 'happy hour'! I had a few glasses of wine, wonderful appetizers and off to dinner at Bertha's Mussel's (great place). Though when asking the front desk, they thought Moe's had better crab cakes. The hotel is located very conviently to the Inner Harbor, Camden Yards, and the Baltimore Ravens Stadium. All are within walking distance but the surrounding neighborhood is a bit scary. I didn't feel safe walking around there at night. The entrance to the hotel is located on a small crowded side street which made it very hard to get in and out when it is busy. One of the big things they promote is having "Sleep Number" beds in every room. I found this to be the most uncomfortable hotel bed that I have ever slept on. My back hurt in the morning no matter what setting I put it on. Do your research...I'm sure you will get a better value elsewhere.
