"High Class Place less than 1/2m from White House"
We were greeted and cared for by their wonderful staff. The place is very clean, very well designed and stylish. High class place. We had drinks and dessert one night at their restaurant, the Federalist, which was fantastic. Every morning I ran past the White House on my daily run, which was somewhat surreal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We decided to stay the day before and the night of the 4th, although we live in NOVA. We did not want to be stuff in DC traffic. This hotel was gorgeous! It's a convenient walk to the Metro, Georgetown and the monuments. Customer service was excellent. We did not eat at any of the restaurants because there were other places we wanted to try. We had […] a 12 year-old and a 1 year-old in tote; and we had zero issues! I was nervous about there being enough room for our pack-and-play, but we had plenty. We would definetely recommend this place for anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"4th of July"
My family stayed 2 nights over the 4th of july. We have two small children and the rooms were great for all of us. The hotel was in the perfect location. A quick $7 cab ride to Georgetown. An easy 20 minute walk to the mall. Many excellent restaurants very close. The hotel rooms were excellent and super comfortable. The staff was very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel located in Downtown D.C."
Stayed at the Loews Madison July 5th-7th. Great location in Downtown D.C. The hotel was amazing & staff couldn't be any friendlier. Our king room was very spacious, clean & modern. The front desk were so friendly upon check-in & made a fuss over my son (gave him a gift bag).Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel, great location"
We stayed at the Madison hotel for a family vacation and got great service. Personnel were very friendly and attentive to our needs. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Location is great for business or leisure.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was amazing rooms were fantastic close to the mallGenuine Expedia guest review
Hotel is in a great location. Two Metro Stations are within a 5 minute walk and you are within walking distance to the National Mall area if you do not want to take the Metro. The staff was excellent and very friendly. The room was a little small but not an issue. If you are traveling to DC you should be out enjoying the sites and only sleeping in the […] Hotel. "Above and Beyond Service"
Our stay at the Lowes Madison exceeded any and all of our expectations from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Innocent, the concierge, helped us with Metro routes, bus routes, restaurants and made us feel like special guests our entire stay. When we needed extra wash clothes, they arrived quickly. All the staff was friendly and helpful. […] The Lowe's Madison made this our favorite hotel and we will definitely be returning to Washington DC and staying here again because of their commitment to their guests and service. The room was beautiful, quiet and convenient. We were blocks away from White House, Metro and the National 4th of July parade. We were able to walk to all the sites or catch the Metro. The Federalist had the most amazing Cheese Dip and Federalist Punch while the Post Script's Croque Madame for breakfast made it worth waking up. My only concern was service was a little slow, didn't get our drinks until after our entree but that was minor compared to all the attention. If you stay at Lowe's Madison, which I high recommend, please make sure to visit the concierge. He told me before we arrived to come see him and he made a significant difference in our trip to Washington DC. He should become an ambassador for Lowe's Madison. "Great hotel - great location!"
My hotel stay was outstanding. Great service! Great room - clean & comfortable. The fitness center was clean with updated equipment.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful, convenient, friendly!"
We had two families with mostly teens in tow and had a wonderful time. The hotel is beautiful, obviously having been remodeled sometime recently. Nothing looked old or lacking maintenance in any way. Staff was more than helpful. Every day they have fruit-infused water waiting in the lobby and in our room there was a Keurig with a free selection of K-Kups. […] Much nicer than the free coffee service in any hotel room I've had lately. The restaurants on-site were expensive and a little too high-end for our family trip, but we found good alternatives in the area. The hotel is 4-5 blocks from the nearest Metro station. That was probably the only downfall, but it certainly wasn't too far to walk. We did it multiple times daily. Would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Great Location and Great Staff. The hotel is three blocks away from the White House and Metro system. Parking can be a problem, but is is DC.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Outstanding service and location"
The Loews Madison has an incredible staff. The location is excellent for families visiting the downtown DC attractions.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall a very nice hotel. My husband and I stayed three nights on business, and found the Madisonl to be charming and comfortable. It's a bit farther than walking distance to the major sights, but an easy cab ride to/from the major points of interest, including Reagan National Airport, Capitol Hill, the Mall, and Nationals Ballpark. Happy Hour in the […] lounge was especially pleasant, and kudos to Glen for whipping up some unforgettable cocktails. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"home away from home"
The staff at this hotel are extremely friendly and warm and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and they actually knocked on my door to give me water and ask if we wanted our beds turned down in the evening. It is 3.5 blocks to the metro which is very convenient. Several restaurants in the area. The hotel restaurant is expensive. I feel it was a reasonable […] price for the quality. The only thing was no pool, but I had been told on the phone we could use a pool down the street, however, this offer was no longer in effect when we arrived. The staff, however, called another hotel in the area and got permission for us to use the pool which was very nice of them to do. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good location - rooms are clean, but need update"
Hotel is only a few blocks from White house (South) as well as decent restaurant / shopping options (North). Hotel and rooms are OK, but need some updates to come up to Loews standard,Genuine Expedia guest review
"AC noisy, beds okay"
Rooms are okay, not great. I asked for a room away from the elevator when I checked in. "Sure, ma'am, no problem..." Went to my room -- next to the elevator. Decided not to bother changing, but then the AC tripped on. Loud, irregular, and all of 8 feet from the headboard. So I requested a room change -- the (very nice) gentleman at the front desk immediately […] moved me to another room (truly away from the elevator), but warned that all the AC units are loud, and that soon they will all be replaced because it's a common complaint. Well then. But the second room was fine, and the AC wasn't nearly as bad -- still loud, but regular (so I could sleep just fine). Other notes: walls are thin (I could hear my neighbor's TV LOUD and clear (really, reality TV? ugh.)), and my kind bed was tilted, maybe 5 degrees to one corner. It's a hotel that really wants to be 4*, but is definitely not there yet. (Or anymore.) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice location in DC, but small rooms"
This was a nice enough hotel, it was clean and had nice finishes. But the staff wasn't overly friendly or helpful and the rooms were very small. The location was good for walking to local attractions, but there are several other hotels in the area. Overall, it was just OK.Genuine Expedia guest review
"way over priced!"
Penthouse was not a penthouse but an executive suite: slightly larger room with a couch. Key didn't work twice so had to get help.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel but felt a little cold"
Overall this is a great hotel, that's very close to all major attractions, convension centre and restaurants. The hotel itself was great, great room, great food, great bar and the bell staff and porters left a sour taste in my mouth. They were not very helpful and were rude to be honest. My wife who is pregnant had to "ask nicely" for the porter to […] open an umbrella to bring her to a taxi or else he wasn't going to do it!! Forgive me but guests shouldn't have to ask for something that should come as part of customer service. Your first and last impression of a hotel are the porters, just a word of warning. Housekeeping is the weak link, everything else was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the room was quite small relative to its price, but was otherwise comfortable. The prices of in-room items, especially the alcohol, were laughably high, but I suppose unwitting tourists buy them. Housekeeping was unresponsive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This was my 2nd stay at the Madison and overall very positive; room was very clean, bed was super-comfy and bathroom was a nice size (unlike my previous stay). All the hotel staff were very courteous and attentive (even the poor security guards who had to deal with an extremely inebriated guest who was unable to get into her room; they were very professional […] in handling her and apologetic for me being woken up). The breakfast service in the lounge was excellent and- wow- the coffee sure is strong! Very convenient location for downtown or subway and the 24-hour drug store around the corner is handy as well. Would definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but not Great"
Our room was lovely and very clean. The bathroom was quite small, but efficient and there was plenty of room to store items. However, the shower was a little strange in that the door only opened in, and when turning on the shower it was necessary to lean far inside to reach the controls. When the water started it sprayed outside the door opening because […] the door was opened to the inside. Not a great design, but necessary because the room was so tiny the door couldn't open out. Also, it was impossible to set the climate control in the room to anything that approached comfortable. During the night it was either too hot or too cold. I was exhausted every day we were there from not sleeping very well. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Luxury in DC"
Great location. Great weekend rates. Elegant and updated décor. Fabulous linen.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great staff at Loews Madison Hotel, Front desk - Door man and Bellmen were all very friendly and helpful. Innocent, yes that his name was a really big help as he assisted us with planning our sight seeing events during our first but certainly not our last trip to DCGenuine Expedia guest review
3 star hotel masquerading as 4.5 star. Brought own bags to room because bellman could not be found. Valet was also missing. Rooms tiny (expected). Liked the location. Close to metro and White House. Unsure if sequester is affecting all, but upkeep around DC was parks was embarrassing for US Capitol.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Downtown hotel"
A high quality 4-star hotel in a good location for business and leisure. Hotel is in a convenient location to all local attractions and the staff was friendly and helpful. We did not eat in the dining room, but did have breakfast in the morning. "Nice place to stay"
Stayed here for a night. It's a nice, polished hotel with professional staff. Also a good location for walking to sight see. My only gripe: They told us parking would be $50 dollars if we left by 10 the next night. Then when it was time to checkout, they said $75 dollars. We had to talk to the (different) clerk for a long time to convence him we shouldn't […] have to pay more. Eventually, he agreed to honor the 50-dollar rate. So just be careful about that. Love Washington DC Very beautiful city with loads of grand museums. We had a wonderful stay, the room was very quiet, the hotel employees were unbelievably friendly and helpful, The room was also very elegant. We will stay in Loews hotels always.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room we were given on arrival had an extremely noisy A/C unit. We were given another room, but that A/C unit was only slightly less noisy. We were given a complimentary dinner at the hotel for our inconvenience, however. The King bed room had no bathtub, only a shower. The rest of the hotel needs an upgrade to stay competitive with the other hotels […] in that location. We visited the Jefferson hotel for drinks and dinner and that facility is top notch. Great place, comfortable, convinient locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a very nice hotel- very fancy. I got there and they didn't have my room but had my reservation. So they offered me an upgrade to a suite which was real nice. The hotel was real nice- but go in expecting real fancy and the price tag to go with it- for example- parking is $50 for 24hrs and is only valet (right next door). My wife ordered 3 simple […] dishes for breakfast room service - $90. There is a door man, valet service, etc and you get the feeling like you should tip them every time they open a door for you. There is a bunch of places to get food around there- dunkin donuts, au bon pain, etc. Other than that - a real nice place close to everything- clean and comfortable Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
