We would definitely stay at this hotel again! It was in walking distance to many sights. Staff was extremely helpful, especially the concierge who gave us some great tips on where to eat and what to do while there.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Business Trip to D.C."
Stayed September 2013. Friendly, experienced staff, clean rooms, easy walk to White House and other attractions as well as various offices where we had meetings. Can be tight to get out of there if the President decides to come or go, as traffic can get frozen while the motorcade goes in and out (and we're not talking 2 minutes, we can be talking over […] an hour) but that's D.C. in a nutshell anyway. The hallways were not properly air conditioned--very humid and hot out there, and room controls were not as easy to figure out as we'd like, but generally very pleased with this hotel. They also have Coca-Cola products, not Pepsi, which for me is a huge plus. And the hair dryer is magic--it was miraculous how fast it worked. Business center was well organized and easy to work, internet was free. Desk in room was decent, with easy to access plugs. Bring your own pen, because unlike most hotels, I didn't see that little pad of paper and pen anywhere. Lighting was a little more "mood-oriented" than I needed to work, but not too bad. Room service not cheap, but very prompt and tasty. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hassle of parking overshadowed all else."
Stayed at Lowes-Madison for one Saturday night to attend a formal wedding. Hotel parking was $52, and the only other option was another hotel a block and a half away at $30/per night. If you are well off enough not to be phased by the $52 parking fee, I'd suspect you would still be somewhat disappointed since the decor and amenities, I thought, were […] less than a 4+ star hotel typically provides. Staff was friendly and helpful, but the bell boys mobbed us a bit upon departure. Rooms were clean and quiet; the appealing shower-only bathroom made the room itself above average. But not by very much. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay in DZc"
Stayed here for 2 nights with my mom, brother, and my 15 month old son. We all fit comfortably in the room and had a great stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Washington DC Trip"
We so enjoyed our visit to your hotel, it was just what we were looking for... only unfortunate was the sauna was out of order while there, but the facility was well maintained and well decorated... thanks!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was good. The restaurant is very disappointing. Poor and slow service, over priced and limited menu.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good choice for downtown business"
A good upscale hotel. only complaint is that my room looked out on some mechanical equipment on the roof and nothing else.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A clean room, please."
Nice hotel that forgot arguably the most important thing--daily room cleaning. My stay involved three nights and I was pretty surprised on night three to come back to a room that was totally left as it was that morning. Mistake; yes, but not one I'd expect from a $250 a night hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff was the best!! Very impressed with service don't see it anymore. really can't say enough about them. Would gladly stay again .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Located between two Metro Stations"
The Madison is within walking distance to two Metro Stations. We spent a week at Loews Madison and for the most part were very pleased. Our room was extra quiet and that was a real plus for us. The room was snuggle-fitted with two queen sized beds. This allowed for only one of us access to the desk area at a time. We managed fine. It was unusual to […] have a full small refrigerator with expensive items inside. It would have been more convenient for us to be able to use it for our own items. (We understood that a refrigerator would be made available for a fee.) The coffee maker was a one cup at a time system with two regular coffees, one decaf and one tea replenished daily. This didn't meet our needs so we found that the CVS down the street sold boxes of coffee that worked in the machine in our room. We just bought our own. There are coffee shops nearby but having the convenience of in room coffee worked well for us. There were glitches with the complimentary WIFi on our last day which made copying our boarding passes more difficult. We had to ask for assistance. The bar area and special outdoor sitting areas were being revamped and not open. The work out area was never crowded and fit our needs. There is no pool. The location was between Metro Stations and with a short walk gave you access to DC. You could walk to the White House and nearby restaurants. Our view was of the a roof area above the air conditioning units. If you need a view, 506 is not your room. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Beautiful hotel; if you like walking this is for you; about 20-25 min to mall; hot water very quick; would have liked ice machine on the floor or complimentary cold waterGenuine Expedia guest review

"it was great"
I spent three nights in this hotel it was really great place, great location to the white house, great staff the problem is the valet parking was really expensive, so it better to find public parking around the hotelGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall was nice , but the day we left for airport , the bell boy or security of the hotel . (I was not sure )He asked us whether we need a taxi and we said yes but we can take the one that line up in front of the hotel and he said they won't take credit card if you want to pay by credit card i will call for you, and i asked him , are they charge the […] same fare? he said yes . so we decided to go with the one he called however , when we got to the airport and found out they charged more than meter taxi. And there was no traffic at all, so that was the only one thing I didn't like . Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Perfect location for seeing DC"
I can't say enough about this hotel. Excellent staff on a newly renovated hotel. Walking distance to all the sights and places to eat. Worth every penny!Genuine Expedia guest review
"A great hotel at a great price"
The Madison is located in an high end business part of Washington a short distance from tourist attractions. The Metro is 3-4 block walk, depending on the line. There are many chain sandwich shops nearby. The hotel itself is very nice - large comfortable rooms, attentive staff, good fitness facility. There is an extensive conference area, but we were […] not there on business. The restaurant and a bar also appeared quite nice, but again we did not use their services. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel based on what is has to offer and it's price. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice central DC hotel"
It was a very convenient nicely appointed hotel. My only complaint was the air conditioner was always on full force and I could not adjust the fan. Besides that very friendly staff and clean nice hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent, i can't say nothing but it was an excellent experience , except We had yo pay for breakfast where during the booking through expefia breakfast was included. That was'the bad thing about it .the view of the romm wan't good although we asked for ghe street viewGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location in the center of the city."
Room was clean, very pretty, beautiful linens on the bed, door men were very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend, and I would stay here again if I return to DC.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great stay but. . . ."
I enjoyed my stay very much but my major beef was the invonvience of not having an ice machine. I didn't like that I had to wait for ice when in other hotels I can walk right down the hall to get it myself. I also did not like that I had to pay extra for a fridge and microwave. I drove 6 hours with food for lunch and milk and cream for breakfast and […] find out there was not one included in the room. My bad though for not doing my research before hand. Parking price was insane but I think that goes for all hotels in DC. The staff was very friendly, no noises heard from other rooms and quick walk to Starbucks! Overall I would stay again after knowing what it is like to stay in DC Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel surrounding was scary at night"
Opposite to the hotel there is a coffee shop where homeless people stay at night. Couple of guys tried to talk to us one of the nights while we parked our car, Kept asking where we are from..I was scared to death to talk to a stranger at 2 AM.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel Experience"
Location is very convenient to Metro (about 3 blocks) and thus all of the key tourist destinations. A short walk to some cool restaurants, as well. Staff was courteous and helpful, and the on-premise restaurant/bars were also good. Our only complaint was a small one - we had a double-queen room for one adult and 2 high school males. We were informed […] that they do not allow cots due to fire code, so the youngest slept on pillows the floor. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great hotel! The rooms are big, clean, and really comfortable. The bathroom is also large and clean. My daughter wanted to take the pillow with her because it was so comfortable:) The food is excellent as well. The staff is kind and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Close to all. Great for all."
Close to Metro stops and walking distance to anything and everything. Clean facilities and friendly staff. If you plan on renting a car, daily parking is expensive at $50 a day. However, parking at Colonial next door is half that.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel for business travel."
Not the best location for family travel because there is not good family restaurants, but hotel was pleasure and we could visit principal attractions and stores of downtown.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A mostly good stay"
The room and hotel staff were great. Our only problem was that housecleaning came to our room one day and replenished our coffee, but did not clean the room. When we reported this, it was taken care of immediately. The hotel is beautiful and we would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I enjoyed my stay. The rooms are somewhat smaller than I would have hoped ( and I live in Manhattan and travel weekly for work). My first room was also incredibly dark, even after I turned on the lights. I was moved to another room with no problem. Hotel conveniently located near Red Line and decent food options everywhere. I'll most likely stay here […] again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall a nice play to stay. The restaurant located in the hotel was very pricy and the menu was not kid friendly. The staff was very nice. Located within walking distance from white house, ect. The hotel's location was convenient to the Washington convention center. About a 15 minute walk. The staff was friendly and resourceful. A very pleasant stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
I really enjoyed my stay with the hotel and its staff! The room is small but very cozy. The staffs were really nice. I left my things in the the hotel and they found it and delivered it to my house! I will definitely recommend my friends to stay with Loews Madison Hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Will be staying here again!"
The entire staff was so personable and accommodating. Everyone from the doorman, front desk staff, wait-staff, etc., were very friendly. The hotel is not exactly walking-distance from the majority of the museums, but the hotel itself and personnel definitely make up for this. The cab ride is about 7-8 minutes from museums, around $9.00. We had breakfast […] in the hotel on our last day and I highly recommend the lemon crunch pancakes with blackberry syrup-- delicious! They also have Keurig's in the room if you just want coffee. There is a Caribous Coffee across the street and Starbucks down the road, as well, if you want to branch out. Right around the corner is a great restaurant we tried, Lincoln ( in the W Hotel) and we highly recommend - it is southern with a twist/small plates. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The room smelled like someone just had a cigarette break ten minutes before my arrival. The hotel did offer another room as an alternate (I declined because it felt like a hassle by then). I do not like hotel rooms with a heavy dose of room fragrance, but not crazy about the smell of cigarettes, either.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel close to attractions"
My husband and I stayed in a penthouse suite with a king bed and expansive balcony. The room was spacious and clean. The balcony provided an amazing view of the fireworks on the 4th of July. The restaurant staff was very helpful and accommodating, even bringing our food to our room after we were seated and eating appetizers, because the fireworks started […] :15 minutes sooner than scheduled. Many restaurants and main attractions within walking distance, and most everything within a quick cab right away. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"High Class Place less than 1/2m from White House"
We were greeted and cared for by their wonderful staff. The place is very clean, very well designed and stylish. High class place. We had drinks and dessert one night at their restaurant, the Federalist, which was fantastic. Every morning I ran past the White House on my daily run, which was somewhat surreal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We decided to stay the day before and the night of the 4th, although we live in NOVA. We did not want to be stuff in DC traffic. This hotel was gorgeous! It's a convenient walk to the Metro, Georgetown and the monuments. Customer service was excellent. We did not eat at any of the restaurants because there were other places we wanted to try. We had […] a 12 year-old and a 1 year-old in tote; and we had zero issues! I was nervous about there being enough room for our pack-and-play, but we had plenty. We would definetely recommend this place for anyone. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"4th of July"
My family stayed 2 nights over the 4th of july. We have two small children and the rooms were great for all of us. The hotel was in the perfect location. A quick $7 cab ride to Georgetown. An easy 20 minute walk to the mall. Many excellent restaurants very close. The hotel rooms were excellent and super comfortable. The staff was very friendly.Genuine Expedia guest review
