Excellent employees. Very courteous and family oriented. As soon as you step in the hotel, Staff remembers your name and offers help if you need something. I definitely come back to this hotel. The staff Eugene is one of the excellent employee. I enjoyed staying. Quiet, safe, and accessible to all. Definitely worth coming to this Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Absolutely wonderful and friendly staff members"
My friends and I stayed here for a few nights to go to Anime Boston. The rooms are a bit small but super clean and very nice. Also the service and friendliness of the staff is superb. It's about a 5-10 minute walk to the Hynes Convention Center from the Inn which was a huge plus for my friends and I. I would recommend this place to stay in if you are […] in Boston looking for a quality hotel with great staff! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"conviently located to shopping, rest., and public"
My stay was wonderful, and I have stayed there a few times. The Staff was very helpful. My only negative thing to say was that they should use better light bulbs. I found it dark even in the bathroom. Maybe higher watt's is whats needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great staff and location"
Easy walk to Copley Sq area; good coffee shop and diner just around the corner. Highly recommended as an affordable alternative to the Westin and Marriott Copley.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room was clean staff was friendly. There was no parking at the hotel, the associated garage was expensive and difficult to find. The neighborhood was quaint. Overall a nice stayGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice experience in BOS"
Decent room, free space to park on the weekend. Liked that its a short walk to the T Great place to eat next door as well Nice view from the roomGenuine Expedia guest review
good for a business stay. basically no arrangements for parking (27$ discount overnight rate at garage 3 blocks away). staff at checkin not particularly friendly, checkout much better. room tiny but comfortable and clean. bathroom very tiny.Genuine Expedia guest review
Rooms are small and there is no lobby to hang out in. That said, the management was very friendly, the room was clean, and the bathroom was very nice. The location cannot be matched. You get the charm and calm of the South End but can walk quickly to downtown. The restaurant choices are impressive -- lots of small delicious fun places within walking […] distance and plenty of cafes where you can hang out. Highly recommend it if you don't mind European-size spaces and like to walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a great place to stay for a short stay. The neighborhood was prefect and made me feel a part of the city not just a visitor. The rooms were simple and clean however the bed was a bit hard and didn't provide a sound nights sleep.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Above and beyond..."
I lived in Boston for 12 years and found the location of the Chandler Inn wonderfully situated. I was close to a Bikram yoga studio, GREAT restaurants, awesome shopping and some pretty great gay haunts. I will look to stay here again on future visits.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was very good. The coffee machine at the lobby was fantastic!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location if walking old Boston, but..."
While the Chandler's location is fabulous for walking in old Boston, the room was very small, with poor climate control and a beautiful (but poorly designed) bathroom with nary a horizontal surface to place toiletries. We stayed three nights; the room and hallway were uncomfortably warm, and opening the window didn't help -- no cross-ventilation. Room […] service delivered a portable fan after saying it wasn't possible to use A/C. Even cheap highway motels have individual climate control -- and The Chandler is not cheap. Using the lobby's communal coffee maker was like servicing a laser printer -- an instruction card would help here. I'd recommend for location only. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I stayed here while running the marathon. The location was perfect! It was a few blocks from the finish and the busses on Tremont. When I came back to the hotel after finishing the marathon the front desk knew who I was and congratulated me because they were following all of the guests online. I thought that was a nice touch and really made me feel […] special. The price was right, the rooms were comfortable and location was perfect. I plan on staying with them again next year! Was really impressed with the Chandler in terms of service, the room and location. While small, the room was extremely clean, modern and functional with a European charm and feel. The friendly staff was really helpful and allowed me to do a really early check-in after my red-eye flight. I'd definitely stay at the Chandler again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent stay here. Was allowed to check in early by a few hours making my life much easier that day. Service at front desk was excellent and had no problems. Hotel was a short walk to the subway or any major area. Free cappuccino too! Overall excellent stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect For Budget Travelers"
Our stay at the Chandler Inn was great. While the first couple nights were less than enjoyable because the hot water wasn't working and there was almost no pressure, they had it fixed and the rest of the stay was without issue. Families or individuals looking for an upscale hotel with a lot of added extras may be disappointed. But, those traveling on […] a budget that only need a nice place to stay for a few nights will find the Chandler more than sufficient. Some good things to know about the hotel: - There is no complimentary breakfast - There is no room service - There is no on-site business center (but they will print things for you at the front desk) - There is free WiFi - They can get a cab for you on very short notice (one of ours showed up in less than two minutes) - A lot of convenience stores in the area - No in-room refrigerator or coffee maker (you can get coffee at the front desk) - Quick walk to and from the Arlington and Back Bay T stops Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Location, location, location"
Was pleasantly surprised by this no-frills but tasteful hotel. The cost is very reasonable considering the hotel's proximity to Back Bay T Station and to Boston's commercial areas. The only down side would be that one could hear conversations (or more like guests yelling at each other) next door. Overall I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel […] to my friends. "Close to the Center of Everything"
We were very satisfied with the stay at the Chandler Inn Hotel. The staff were nice and although the rooms were a bit small, they were very clean and beautifully maintained. The location of the hotel was a short 5-10 minute walk from the main area of Boston -- where the Freedom Trail begins -- but you're in Boston so walk around and explore! Also, the […] weather cooperated during our stay. There wasn't a full continental breakfast but more of just a coffee machine with free coffee. Overall, I would DEFINITELY come back here again because it offered a great value for a short getaway to a wonderful city. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Enjoyed my stay"
I stayed at yhe Chandler Inn for an event being held at the Hynes Convention Center. It may not have been the most immediate and convenient location, but the walk was very do-able and gave me a chance to unwind in the evenings. The rooms are not especially large, but they are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The only thing I would wish for […] was a tad more elbow room in the bathroom, and a bathtub. The staff was very nice, and helpful in giving directions. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Chandler Inn exceeded my expectations. I travel often and I found the rooms in this hotel to be high value for the price. My room was the perfect size -- i.e., I had just enough space. Every square inch of my room was well considered and had very nice fixtures. I was barely in my room and I didn't want to spend money on unused space. I was also […] delighted that this hotel provided good, free coffee! As for the neighborhood, the South End is a great neighborhood with a lot of cute cafes and shops. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you want a high quality, low cost option. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Chandler is great and close to Back Bay and Copley"
I have stayed at the Chandler before and will return again someday. I like the location as it is close the Back Bay and Copley Square. They have redecorated the rooms since I last stayed and they did a nice job. The only drawback was that the internet was not working during the first day of my stay, but they had it back up and working by the second […] day. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"good hotel for the cheaper price"
I don't spend much time in a hotel apart from sleeping and getting ready to go somewhere else, so this place was just fine. My usual concern with cheaper options in big cities is the shower, and as expected, it didn't get quite hot enough and the water pressure was low. All in all, bed was comfy and I could sleep and the staff were friendly enough.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel above a night club"
The hotel was just fine, but we got a room on the second floor, which is directly above a bar. When we got back to our room in the evening, there was a line of people outside of the bar waiting for admission by the bouncer - suggesting it was perhaps more of a night club than simply a bar. To give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, we figured we'd […] see whether we could hear it in our room. We could. Not only did we hear the people, but also the thumping base from the music. I was pregnant and attending a conference, so a good night's sleep was rather important to me, but when we went downstairs to ask for a room change, the guy at the front desk said the hotel was fully booked that night -- I don't know if that was true or not. But they couldn't even offer us earplugs. It is a poorly run hotel that puts pregnant business travelers on the second floor above a bar/night club. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
As a single woman traveling, I can't tell you how secure I felt there. The front desk was friendly and helpful. I would say the downfall was the hard, caved in matress and the noise level, for example doors slamming in the hallway, the roof top mechanical on the building across the way and the party goers at the bar on the first floor. Even up high, […] I heard everything. Just know this if you are a light sleeper. The location is fantastic with easy access to many great restaurants and the T all within 5 blocks. My sister and I had a lovely stay at the Chandler Inn. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Chandler Inn is a great hotel, from the decor, service and location. What I love the mos is the decor- it truly is a boutique hotel and the price is very reasonable. I wil definitely stay here again whenever I'm in Boston.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel, great location"
This was my second time staying at the Chandler Inn, and I've thoroughly enjoyed my experience both times. The rooms are small but clean and sleek. Ideal for passengers traveling solo or double. My only issue was that the heater was a bit much, so I had to crack the window when it was single digits outside. The hotel is just a moment's walk from the […] Back Bay station and the Copley Square area, and for gay travelers, not only is Club Cafe between the hotel and the train station, Fritz (the gay sports bar) is actually in the hotel! "Boutique Hotel with a flair!"
In all my years of travel, never have I experienced a finer management team. My flight was extremely late landing in Boston, and they went above and beyond to accommodate me. "Good for the price"
This is a good hotel for a reasonable price. Rooms are small but practical and have been recently redecorated. Location in the BackBay is OK though you are still quite a walk from the subway and downtown area of Boylston and Copley. The walk is not bad unless you carry luggage, which was my case. Service was very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Small but clean and inviting"
We only stayed one night - what a disappointment! The rooms are small - but that is to be expected with a boutique hotel. The room had all amenities needed and let's be honest - you aren't there to sit in a hotel room! Very close to all the sights in back bay and only a $10 cab ride to northend and other sights. This really was a great bang for the […] buck! Would stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Cramped hotel with poor sound insulation"
The location is great because it is centrally located, near public transport, and the staff was friendly and responsive to requests. But I would hesitate to recommend the hotel. The rooms are ridiculously small in size such there is no room for an actual closet. Instead there is a rack bolted into the wall with some exposed hangers. The bathroom had […] little room for storing toiletries and felt claustrophobic with the door closed. This is a room that is tight even for a couple in love. The walls are paper thin so I could hear each tv channel being changed in the room next door and when initially placed on the 2d floor could hear all the bar noise from the bar next door. The staff did graciously move me to the 7th floor which did buffer the bar noise. Unfortunately their niceness just cannot make up for the poor quality of the hotel sound insulation and the lack of hot shower water I suffered on the first day. All of which made the hotel feel very overpriced like an Econolodge at Hilton prices. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
