I was very dissapointed with our stay here. It was a last minute trip and I had to decide on a hotel fast. We have to kids, a one and four year old. I wanted a nice clean hotel, knowing that my kids were going to be all over the room. I've stayed at the Hiltons numerous times across the U.S and I have never been dissapointed so that's why I decided to stay there for our 3 day trip to San Diego. First, I can't believe there's a parking fee at the hotel, that was a first at a Hilton, then there was not a fridge in the room. I had to throw away our snacks that needed to be kept cool. There were stains on the carpet and the maids didn't even clean our room. We left at 9am and came back at 3pm and the room was still not cleaned! We had to call to request maid service. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. It was close to the Zoo and a great shopping center. But if you have little kids, don't stay at this hotel

The first we stayed there were only 2 of us so we had a nice king bed. This time there were 3 and we had 2 double beds - too small for a tall adult and teenager. The cable was not attached and we couldn't reattach it so we had to call - the service worker was rude. There was only one partial roll of toilet paper so we had to call for another roll. At 1 am, a man was threatening someone and yelling profanities in the hallway outside our room.

Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Oct 8, 2009
This hotel had very nice guest rooms with comfortable beds. They could be more sustainable by not replacing the toiletries every day when I was clearly not done using the ones from the day before. My only complaint is about the television. The screen was huge considering how close you sat to it, and it was set to fill the widescreen mode, which just stretched the image 20% or so, which looks horrible. Also, the picture quality wasn't that great, so once you factor in the grainy image plus the stretching, it wasn't great to look at. Finally, they don't provide a list of channels next to the tv, so I had to flip around a lot to find what I was looking for.

We used this hotel for a return trip to San Diego for a memorial service. The price seemed right and the location was close to where we needed to be. Arriving late Saturday, it was disappointing to walk into the hotel with the music from a wedding blasting out the front doors. Needless to say we needed to be moved from our assigned room, as the noise level from downstairs sounded as if the wedding dj was in our third floor room! Beyond that, the hotel was clean, staff was courteous and room was neat and clean.

It was an "okay" hotel, but we'll probably look elsewhere for our next visit. It had a very nice breakfast buffet, and the staff was helpful. However, the parking is expensive ($14 a day). There is no mini-fridge or microwave in the rooms, which seems standard in competing hotels now. The hotel will charge you $15/day to bring a mini-fridge up to your room. Even though the WiFi is free, before you connect to it, you have to fill out a form on their website that you accept charges of $9.99/day for it. The front desk swears they edit this off the bill, but it made us nervous that we had to accept it in the first place. To top it off, we discovered several stains on the duvet cover on our bed. Of course the stained side was faced down, so we didn’t notice them until late at night when we were removing it from the bed. But ew!

And by the way in addition to the price you paid there is a overnight parking fee of $14.99. The breakfast buffet was so simple and the charge was $12.99 + tax & tip. You could of have better food and service at Denny's. It was not worth spent there.

Our air conditioner in our room never worked and you couldn't open up the windows. It was always cooler in the hallway than it was in our room. The vending machines were broken. We got stuck in the elevator and heard that another guest had gotten stuck earlier. The front desk/concierge wasn't very familiar with the area. We asked if there was a place we could go from frozen yogurt and they said no, but there were 3 places right across the street. The prices for their food were high...even for hotel food. Other than that, the rooms were nice and clean and bright. The staff was friendly. The hotel just needs to work out the kinks.

We booked this Hotel via Internet with 2 other couples. We had never stayed at the Hotel, but he Internet special was too hard to pass up. Once we got there we noticed the nice lobby and hoped that the rest of the hotel was just as nice. From the lobby to our room to the pool and the service, it was more than we expected. We were most surprised by the "complimentary breakfast" which was better than most restaurants and had a very comfortable sitting for the 6 of us to visit each morning without the noise of a restaurant and the staff at breakfast was so very kind. They also have appetizers and drinks in the same room in the evening starting at 5!! I have already recommended this hotel to others and will definitely go back. One small concern: The keys to the breakfast room didn't work but our friends who were staying on other floors let us in each morning. (and our hotel room was only 3 doors down- but not too big of an inconvenience) You won't be disappointed!!!
