Large, clean room. Relatively quiet. My one complaint is there was a wake-up call scheduled to the room (that I didn't order) at 5am. For being so close to the airport, I was impressed by how much the rooms muffled the noise. Majority of the staff was fairly friendly.

The Hotel was very nice, the rooms were very nice and they had a great breakfast buffet and also a place just to get cereal ,coffee or muffin early in the morning. We did have a problem with communication. I called in advance to request roll away beds in 3 rooms and they assured me they would flag the rooms to tell the hotel cleaning people to have them ready for us because our group was not arriving until 11:30 pm. However when we got there there the rooms did not have roll away beds in them or even extra blankets or pillows. That late at night there wasn't anyone to take care of it so we all finally went to bed after midnight by improvising. We also had to make two phone calls to get picked up by the airport shuttle. The staff was very friendly but they just didn't seem to have enough people on to take care of the needs. If I hadn't called to make arrangements in advance; I wouldn't be writing this review. I hope that they are able to read this so they can remedy the situation. It really is a nice Hotel for the price.

My priorities in an airport hotel: (1) clean, comfortable, safe - yes, (2) convenient airport shuttle - no (30 minute wait), (3) acceptable restaurant - no (half of tables remained uncleared throughout the meal), (4) reliable wake-up call - no (call never arrived), (5) responsive staff - no (no concern or apologies for items 2-4 above). There's a Sheraton across the street which I will try on my next visit to the airport.

Well, we were there to pick up a passenger at 7 am the following morning, so there wasn't much to our stay. Doubletree was just fine. Nice shuttle service too.

I had to change room twice in order to have a silent room. Both rooms I had to change were noisy due to the airconditioning system that made noise even when turned off. Hotel staff (especially a guy called Joshua) was rude and was not taking his role seriously, even mocking me for asking how much time the security person would need to get me an item I had lost.

Although it was a quick stay, I was very comfortable and rested very well. The on-board restaurants were very good. I had supper on Friday night and Breakfast in the morning. Very tasty! The staff was very friendly and helpful, I have only good things to say! Thanks!

We missed our flight due to fog that delayed our cruise ship from getting to port, so needed a place near the airport before our re-booked flight the following morning. This place was perfect, quiet, restful, after a nap we chilled at Derrick's downstairs and watched a game while eating dinner. Free shuttle to the airport made this an excellent spot for a flight out of Bush.

We recently found ourselves stranded in houston do to a flight delay. Fortunately we were able to get a room at the Doubletree near the airport. We were very please with the service, the room, and breakfast at the restaurant. Our only dissatisfaction really, was the lack of heat in the room. We called the front desk at around 1130 at night and they said they would send an engineer to check out the heat. They said they would send one immediately. We were exhausted, and when no one showed up by midnight we called again. This time, someone did show up and he knew about as much about the heating system as I did. The end result, was a chilly room and both of us coming down with colds. I'm not saying it was your fault we got colds, but the cold room certainly didn't help.

I only stayed at the hotel overnight, but that was enough to convince me never to stay there again. * I asked for a bathrobe, and it took almost 2 hours to be delivered. * The water in the bathtub wouldn't drain so I had to call for somebody to fix it. * I ordered breakfast to be delivered to the room the next morning to save some time as I had a morning flight to catch, bit it was never delivered, and no one bothered to offer an apology.

The room was clean and modern. The only problem I have is that I was traveling with my wife and was given a room with two full sized beds. The beds are too small for two people to sleep. The staff should have asked if we wanted a king sized bed.

Very good experience....room spacious and clean. Beds and pillows ( soft, not hard foam!) great. Very lovely pool area, workout room well equipped. Only complaint was Oakleys restaurant. Sunday morning, about 11am...if there was a buffet we missed it....no problem..but the room was basically empty when we arrived. Menu on the table. At least 3 wait persons.....all very "busy"folding napkins (or something?). Now we are only people in room. Took around 15 mins to have order taken . Everyone disappears. Meals finally appear 35 mins later. Have to ask for set ups. We were starving or we would have left. Nowhere else in hotel to eat. Nowhere nearby as far as we could tell. Totally disinterested, disengaged staff. A real disappointment as the front desk staff very professional!!

Want to live in the seventies? Then stay here. Everything is old. Room was way too hot. HVAC system uses ancient cool water system with radiators on the roof. Engineer comes in and turns valve one way if customer is hot and turns it another way if customer is cold. Can not be adjusted by customer. Can not open windows for fresh air; unacceptable, particularly in a climate like Houston.

Hotel was super. After 3 cancelled flights, it was like heaven to get a hot bath and comfortable bed. The free airport shuttle and rates more reasonable than surrounding quality hotels sealed selection of the Doubletree. There was a delay checking in since my reservation didn't come through. It was not pleasant to have to wait over an hour in the late night after a long day before being allowed to go to my room.

The little shop was closed for remodeling but the front desk provided some "emergency" supplies so it all worked out! I have stayed here probably a dozen times and the continual upkeep is very appreciated. Definitely recommend this for a layover or an extended stay. I'll be back (probably in two weeks).

The room smelled like mold and cigarrette. The AC would not set to the desire temperature. The Air Handling unit was noisy. Same scenario as a cheap motel. The room was old and outdated. The only thing worth to say was the comfortable bed.
