The room was just standard, but it was very clean and comfortable. If you don't have the funds to stay on the beach, then this hotel is perfect for you. It was o.k. the desk personnel was not very friendly at check in or check out...same person. Breakfast was good but limited. Ask about coffee in the lobby when checking in and was told it was over there if they had any. Otherwise I could make a pot in my room. Just an old hotel....

Hotel was dirty. Sticky stuff on carpets and stains on bedspreads. The room smelled heavily of smoke, even though it was a non-smoking room. The recent "upgrades" apparently were a fresh coat of paint on the outside -- but the inside was straight from the 1970's. Various construction workers loitering in the parking lot. For the price it was a good deal. Close to the Sound, Liza Jackson Park and many good restaurants including: Red Lobster; Olive Garden; IHOP and more. Close enough for a short drive to all the major attactions.

The hotel service was not welcoming. I actually felt like I was bothering the lady when I was checking in. Besides that, the hotel was good for the price. The location was convenient... Close to downtown Fort Walton. The room was clean but the toilet barely flushed. It's a good place to stay for a weekend to a few days.

It was ok. The coffee at the Breakfast bar was really weak. The light in my room at the door did not work so I had to leave the door open until I could get the light at the bed turned on. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I didn't expect too much for the price I paid for the room. It met my expectation.

I was not pleased with having to pay a fifty dollar incidental fee upon check in.....this was not explained to me as I made the reservation with expedia. I also did not care for dogs barking a lot in the adjacent rooms. The day shift staff was not very friendly.....personality very dry and impersonal.

The convience of the hotel was what brought us here. Its cleanliness was excepable for the price. Rooms were clean, front desk staff made you feel like they were doing you a favor that you were at their place of business. I would stay there again.

Although this hotel is supposed to be near the beach it requires crossing a busy street to get to the bayside, but it is nowhere near a swimming beach. The parking lot floods with every shower which means that every day we were slogging through huge puddles to get to vehicles. The carpeting was dirty, the bedding was stained, burnt, and had holes, and […] the bathroom had mold and looked like it had not been thorougly cleaned in quite some time. The worst of it was that the bathroom door did not shut due to something wrong with the frame. If we had not already paid up front we would have walked, but we had to stick it out through 3 miserable days and the only good thing I can say about the hotel is that they accept pets. Read more

This facility is worn and tired. The room smelled terribly musty, there was never any hot water in the shower, the sink drain was clogged, and the toilet rocked. There was a stain on the bedspread and the room was not sound proof. We knew when the upstairs room was occupied. The breakfast was satisfactory but the coffee lacked character, very weak.

the site had said that rooms were renovated....they were not. the rooms smelled of raid pesticide. there were mouldings in the rooms that were falling off wall and water fixtures in tub were loose and protruding from wall. the beds and pillows were of poor quality. the staff was very impersonable.

The rooms smelled bad and the room is inconvenient. There is only parking on one side of the hotel so we had to take luggage around and up the steps which is difficult with kids too. The bath plug for the kids did not work well and there was paint peeling off the bathroom walls. Dirt and food was on floor behind the tv and the room service did not speak […] english. It is what it is. The Days Inn is a budget hotel with all of the pros on cons thereof. We could hear a lot of activity around us - banging on walls and floors, people walking / talking outside, car alarms going off - but it was a comfortable enough place to lay our heads after a long day at the beach or boozing it up at the local bars. The hotel when you walk in looks decent but when you get to you're room thats where it is dissapointing. The door to the room barely stayed closed. The door to the bathroom did not close well and would open if touched even if locked. The light in the bathroom was porely wired and would not stay on. The two gentlemen at the front desk I dealt with were very professional and help as much as they could. With that said: I was given a room with two beds instead of the King bed I asked for and that is on my receipt. All rooms were full so there was no way of getting the bed I asked for. The light was out in the bathroom. The fan in the bathroom made […] a terrible noise so we just did not use it. The toilet was leaking water from the tank into the bowl so it kept running most night. I had to get up and play with it until I was able to get it to stop. The room had been sprayed for bugs earlier that day so the fumes were terrible. I complained about it the next morning but after we had been gone most of the day when we arrived back at the hotel it had been sprayed again. The chain lock on the door was put on backwards so the chain would not stay in the slot. How has this not been fixed? I would like to state again that the persons working there were very nice and helpful but they could only do what they are allowed to do I guess. Maybe time for new management??? Read more

I will never stay at another Days Inn. I had to be moved twice because both rooms had mice in them. I also saw a mouse run under a door to another room. The night clerk would not assist me and my grandaughter with moving out stuff to the other rooms. The night time clerk told me you know we are in Florida and we have mice. I have vacation the last 10 […] years in Florida and I have never seen a mouse anywhere else I stayed. You only have parking on one side of the building making it difficult to take your luggage to your room. A/C was not working at first and the carpet was wet and had a musty mildew smell. Telephone wasn't working and had been wired together. When we complained to the night manager he said everything was fine and working good even though we showed him that it was not. They did get the A/C to blow cold but the carpet and room smelled bad for the whole time […] we were there. The staff did not seem to care. The service at this hotel is nothing special. The employees are not welcoming at all. When I was checking in, the employee asked for my credit card. I was not aware she was about to charge $50 to it for a damage deposit, and she went ahead and swiped it. She just swiped the card. I do not remember one single employee smiling the whole 2 days I stayed. […] The hotel was decent. Beds were comfortable, minus the burn hole in the comforter. Didn't like to have to pay $75USD deposit. I better get that back quick. Noisy neighbors (not the hotel fault) everynight there was party going late. Bathroom didn't have lock or a way to lock the door, problem w/small children. Location is great. Not enough parking.
