The king bed was heavenly and it was a nice 2 min drive to where I needed to be. But for the life of me I could absolutely no hot water!

I chose this hotel because I was in town for my State Boards exam and it was very close to the testing cite. Overall it was a good place to stay. The room was generally clean, but there were some stains on the curtains and duvet. Otherwise the bathroom was clean and the room was a good size. I stayed at Vagabond Inn several times for its proximity to Occidental College. The rooms are a nice size, the staff is very friendly and approachable. Most important to me was the fact that the rooms are clean, bed is comfortable and the sheets are soft. I always stay in the same room and the front desk has been very accommodating with my request. […] As far as personal amenities (such as soap, shampoo etc) they lack choices, but I am loyal to my personal products and don't care much about that. Internet is free and works well in the rooms. Breakfast is decent and I like the fact that they include fresh fruit you can grab on the go (such as apple or orange). And most important of all is the motel's proximity to the Americana at Brand outdoors mall. There is PLENTY of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. While the exterior looks like a motel, once I get into my room, I don't feel different than being in a decent hotel. Read more

It's Glendale, and by March it's quite hot on the upper floors by afternoon. By summer it will be sizzling! After 15 minutes with AC on full blast and no results, I checked the vent to discover hot air coming from it. I called and the manager explained they'd bring a fan. None of the AC works properly and the owners won't spend the money to fix it. […] They wait for complaints before they bring the fan....Nice manager, OK room, horrible owners! We stayed for a couple of nights. The location is very convenient and within walking distance to the Americana. The room is very clean. We stayed at the 3rd floor so it's very quiet except in the morning at 9am when construction at the neighboring buildings starts their activity. I will definitely recommend. The hotel is in a safe neighborhood.

I stayed at this hotel because it was close to the testing facility for my state board. I guess you could say that this room got the job done but there is no way I would stay here for leisure. For the amount I paid I would have thought this hotel would have been cleaner. The carpet was sticky and filthy.

We stayed for one night and it was ok. It's right across the street from two huge malls and the Glendale Marketplace with its shops and restaurants. So this was great. If you're taking the Ca state board test, this place is very close. I wouldn't walk though. There are some shady characters around there. The room was clean and it was equipped with a microwave and frige with freezer space. Perfect because a trader joes and whole foods is right around the corner! It worked for me I had to take s test at stateboard and it was less than a mile away. Comfy bed and right next to roxys that has good breakfast the only thing I would say is to bring a pillow you like because the pillows I did not like but maybe I'm just picky.

They are building a new Nordstrom's across the street, and were awakened early by the sound of construction work, including the piercing sound of the metal welding. If you plan to stay here, you better be on the road by 7 am or you will be rudely awakened.

The air conditioning was out when we arrived, but was repaired quickly. The pool was fun for the kids to swim and pleasant place for the adults to sit. The continental breakfast was minimal but adequate and you had to take it back to your room. There was no place to sit down to eat.

The air conditioning in the entire hotel had been down for over 24 hours before we checked in on Saturday afternoon, but the front desk attendant who checked us in said nothing about it. Called her from the room to tell about it and were told that they couldn't fix it until Monday (it's the weekend, after all!) and they're out buying fans to hand out. […] Temperature was in the 90's all weekend. Spoke to the manager Sunday morning, who was apologetic and advised that they had been working on it since Friday with no luck. Manager seemed a decent guy, was apologitic (and looked like he had a tough day ahead with angry guests!), but that didn't do us much good Saturday night as the fans could do nothing but blow the hot air around. Was pretty miserable. We had stayed here in the past (near Dodger Stadium where we went the next day) with no problem, but I don't see us staying here again. Had we been told about the AC upon checking in, we probably would have found another hotel - fairly poor job in training the staff in that regard. Read more

The hotels location was good for what we were doing. The big letdown was that the air conditioning was not working which made it extremely uncomfortable and meant little sleep after long drive! They did provide a fan on the second night. Breakfast was very disappointing.

I stayed two nights and would stay again if I needed a motel in the area. It's situated convenient to shops, food, and the freeway, but without traffic noise. I was especially happy to find that the air conditioning unit was quiet, too-- a real rarity. I didn't interact much with staff, but they were polite and unintrusive.
