Nothing special, but nothing bad either. Convenient to the resorts and Brainerd/Baxter. Skipped the breakfast and pool so can't comment on them. Bed was comfortable, room was decent sized and quiet. Not much more to say.

The hotel staff, especially Kaitlin, was wonderful to work with. We drove approximately 2-3 hours for a family wedding we were attending in the area , and needed to check in early. Kaitlin made the arrangements and the cleaning staff was friendly and efficient in getting our 5 rooms ready for us. The breakfast buffet was an added plus!

The hotel personnel were great. Made me feel welcome. Utilized the hot tub and breakfast. Both were good. I would return to this hotel. The location was easy to find. Several eating and shopping places close by.

The staff was extremely friendly. We checked in at 4pm but didn't realize the problems until we return at 11pm to go to bed. Neither of the two nightlights next to the bed worked. The heater was way too loud and rattley. The toilet was running water all night long. It could be heard even with the bathroom door shut. The beds were really hard.

My overall stay was relaxing, however, i did want a gym/fitness center for my use - this is important to me. Hotels.com was able to locate your business for me, with access to a near-by fitness center. Unfortunately, the fitness center close to the hotel had short, inconvenient hours for a weekend. This I did […] not end up utilizing due to the drive, time of day that would be convenient for my using it, and concern over security as I am not familiar with the town nor that fitness center. To explain my comment concerning the cleanliness of the room, there was coffee splashed on the wall by the counter/coffee maker. It was adequate. The rates are reasonable. They provide "pet friendly" rooms, but hotels.com website did not mention there is an additional $30 fee to bring in a pet. I would not have brought my dog along had I known about this fee.

Great friendly staff. Decent price for the quality. Breakfast could be better/more variety. Noisy teen group was quickly quieted. I didn't love the shower head. I t didn't provide the amount of water at the force I like. I am sure that this is a cost cutting measure.

The hotel is not a flashy hotel but the accommodations were great. We had a microwave and fridge which was great. The bed was so comfortable, if you like a softer bed. The linens appeared and felt clean. Will definitely go there again when in the area.

My wife and I have been staying at various Carlson Inn and Suites for about three years now. We like the quiet rooms, the decor, the anytime coffee, plus cookies and apples, the free breakfast, and the living room feel of the lobby. At least for us, these motels are just great.

The pool was very nice, clean and relaxing. The morning breakfast was okay, it was not very hot and often had to ask to have more food beacause it ran out and had not been refilled. The walls were very thin we could easily hear the person in the next room snoring away.

Hotel is ok, overall would stay again especially since all the rooms are smoke free, apparently a novelty in the Brainerd area. The hotel's decor is very dated, the bathroom's did not have appropriate ventilation fans and tubs were slippery. The breakfast staff was excellent and the overall food quality was good. Didn't make use of the pool or what […] not so I can't comment on them. The double beds were awful and was sore for several days afterwards. I am not expecting tempurpedic or sleep number beds, but ouch! The rooms were dated but clean, the a/c system is outdated as it was either on (COLD) or off, which made the room hot. Should update to include thermostat controlled a/c / heat. Refrig in the room was a good plus and the TV was new and HD. Queen beds would be better and replacing the conference style chairs with a recliner or updated chairs would have improved the comfort. Read more

I have stayed at a number of country Inns and thought I knew what to expect. I was very disappointed by this one in Baxter, MN. It was clean but the decor was outdated and worn. The hotel was nice and the staff was very nice as well. The room was clean, one issue I has the toilet keept running and the staff did come to fix it, and then it would start up again after one use. The A/C unit had some of ots own issues, It would work for a some time and then stop. The hotel is OK but needs some maintanence !!!
