"Best location and what a view!"
We loved the location of the hotel. Room and bathroom were super big. You can walk anywhere. The sienna river is so close as all main attractions. Recommend taking the sienna tour by boat. Our room was a corner room and had wonderful views of The Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. It was breathtaking to wake up every morning and go to sleep at night with this view. Concierge could be better. We tried to book a private tour through them for two days with no success. We ended up finding it online on our own.

"The Hotel Regina is nicely located."
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Regina. All the staff were knowledgeable and helpful in all of their services. This was the most expensive of our stays in this travel experience that included cities of Dublin, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and London. Our purpose for being in the area was to visit Normandy. The location of the hotel made our Paris sight seeing convenient with our limited time. Thank you to all the staff for their patient service.

What a lovely hotel! Across the boulevard from Tuilleries Jardin, close to The Louvre and strolling distance to Seine. Gorgeous lobby and our room is one of the first ones renovated. The bed was soft and the room well appointed. The staff was very helpful -- we needed a taxi very early in the morning for our trip to DeGaulle Airport -- and they went the extra mile to help us. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

"Hotel Regina helped make our vacation amazing!!"
We absolutely LOVED Hotel Regina! We stayed 5 nights in Aug, 2014. It was my husband and I and our 2 girls, ages 6 & 8. We stayed in the family room, which was 2 connecting rooms, and they were great! Having the connecting rooms gave us lots of space (and 2 bathrooms). The beds were VERY comfortable and the rooms were beautiful (and nicely air conditioned). In our opinion, the location of the hotel is the best in Paris! It is across from the Jardin des Tuileries (a huge park area with fountains, walkways, etc. and a fun fair in the summer). The hotel is also across from the Louvre, which is an amazing area to walk around at night. (Musicians, photo shoots, etc. at night, and not crowded). There are lots of great restaurants/outdoor cafes within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. We explored the areas behind the hotel and they were fantastic. We were able to walk to Notre Dame, the bridges, the Seine, and even the Arc de Triomphe. We took a quick cab ride to the Eiffel Tower (since we were seeing it at midnight) and it was an inexpensive ride. The staff at the hotel were WONDERFUL! We were greeted with a friendly Bonjour every time we walked through the lobby and they were always smiling. The concierge desk was SO helpful. They gave us lots of helpful tips about times/dates to visit the sites and went above and beyond in helping us book tickets (including a Eurostar to London). We have recommended this hotel to all of our friends and will definitely be back!

"Fine Hotel - Still Under Renovation"
The Hotel Regina is a very fine hotel. For the price we received from Hotels.com - it was good. However, it is not the best deal we have received from Hotels.com. Let me explain. The Hotel is under serious renovation - there is dust / construction on most floors. It should not be ranked as a FOUR STAR under these conditions. The staff was extremely helpful & friendly - the location is second to none. Our room had old carpet and was in need of a facelift - but, very clean. I think to final pay anything over $200 a night with taxes - this is not your best deal. I do look forward to when the construction is complete. Hotels.com - Should Inform Everyone that this Hotel is under construction and does not meet a four star standard.

"Very comfortable stay for us"
Hotel location is ideal: next to the Louvre. Other reviews are accurate in that the pillows are too large and there is no air conditioning until they complete the refurbishing. They said they expect it to be complete in July. Noisy construction starts around 9AM. No problem for us, as we wanted to be out into the town by then. Rooms are very nice, but not large except by Paris standards, which is what we expected. Staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly, and the location could not be better for tourists like us. Although we always try a bit of French, English is certainly OK with the staff. Our room did not face the noisy street, so it was quiet and enjoyable. The restaurant is exceptionally expensive, even for Paris, so we do not have a review for it. We did not eat there. Too many cafe's are nearby.

"5 Days in Paris in May"
Arrived early afternooon and was checked- in immediately. Staff was very pleasant and welcoming! Our room was very small but typical for an old Paris hotel. Hotel is under renovation and only 69 rooms were available. We encountered warm weather in Paris and hotel had no AC due to renovation. This was unacceptable to my husband and we requested to have a different room with more windows/ventilation. The hotel did provide us with a portable fan and moved us to a beautiful suite for the rest of our stay since the suite had multipe windows which we could open. The staff and the Asst. Manager, Amelie, were all terrific. We were addressed by name every time we passed by the lobby. The concierge was terrific in his recommendations. Location of the hotel is fantastic with the metro, rue St. Honore, and the Louvre all very close by. There is a great cafe in front for having breakfast rather than pay the high prioces charged by the hotel.

Very old hotel with no A/C. For the price you pay to stay here you do not get your moneys worth. Was charged for breakfast without knowing it was not including in the stay. Only perk to this hotel is the location is great, otherwise stay elsewhere. For $900 for two nights you can definitely do better than a hotel with rooms the size of a box that are the equivalent to sleeping in a sauna.

"Birthday celebration In paris"
The hotel was very charming and the perfect location for our first trip to paris. Unfortunately the hotel was under construction so the amenities were not available. Regardless, the staff did everything to make our stay memorable. Most of the rooms were closed due to the renovations so we didn't have the best views but the room was a good size and the bathroom pleasant. Mini frig in the room was a perk. "A terrible hotel with noise on a construction site"
The moment we arrived, we were shocked. The hotel was under renovation. A construction site. It was fraud. Expedia or the hotel should have informed us of the renovation and should have asked us whether we would cancel our reservation or not. But they didn't. Expedia should be more responsible for this kind of matter. We use it often and so far we have had a good experience

Booked two Superior Rooms for a daily bill of 450 Euro to sleep 3 adults and 2 children aged 3 and 4. Thought at usual it will be ok. The staff forced us to take a suite for 400 Euro extra, explaining that a fold-out baby bed will not fit into the room. When we saw the rooms you could fit 3 such beds without compromising any evacuation paths. Thought it was a bit low for a hotel with pretence at any ambition. I didn't see a point in arguing. Sad story for a competitive marketplace.

"Decent place to stay"
The hotel is in a great location. Easy to access the Metro and taxis. Can walk to several attractions including the Louvre and the muse de' Orsay and the Muse de' Orangegie. The staff are helpful but seemed to try to steer us to things that benefited them. For instance they said the trip to Monet's home and gardens (a must see) 40 miles north of Paris would be about the same cost and the Van from the hotel as would the train trip through Vernon because you had to take a bus from Vernon to Girvenay. Wrong, wrong and wrong. The van was 107 Euros each while the bus and van together was 29 euros. The cocktails at the hotel were ridiculously priced as was the food. There were not real nice places in the lobby to sit and the rooms had not furniture that anyone would say was comfortable. The beds were very nice however. The Hotel has been updated and I think the price is appropriate for what you get. It is not the top of the hotels but it is the next tier we think. For Europe the rooms are decent size and the internet is free. We recommend this hotel to any one visiting Paris.

"Fabulous staff, great hotel."
Perfectly located across from the Louvre, the Regina is a lovely hotel with outstanding service. There is no way to overstate the excellence, courtesy, and effectiveness of its concierge staff. They solved train problems, quickly made reservations we needed, tracked us down at a store they knew we were going to when one restaurant for which we had asked reservations was closed and recommended another excellent choice (which, although we know Paris quite well and have visited for years), and in a broad sense, took care of us. The rooms were spacious by Paris standards and very comfortable, and well appointed. A lot of Paris hotels have attractive lobbies and college-like rooms. The Regina is about to undergo a major renovation to achieve 5-star status. It's a solid 4.5 right now and we highly recommend it.
