Liked the hotel liked the service rooms clean breakfast well stocked and also clean. Only bad thing was room faced car dealership. How ever could only hear noise at times

Stayed 4 nights & the location was perfect. A bit older but very clean & the service was top notch. 5 minute walk to the park. We've stayed there before & will keep doing so. The price can't be beat.

Very nice location close to all attractions. The room is nice but they could clean better. The breakfast is a 5 very nice light breakfast they keep it well stocked good coffee and juice too. You can't go wrong with this deal.

The location was perfect, whether you wanted to go to a theme park or the beach. The breakfast room was spacious and always had what we needed. My daughter would wake up every morning looking forward to breakfast. Housekeeping does a GREAT job at maintaining everything clean. I would Definately come back again!

Room was comfortable and clean. A bit cluttered with too much furniture. Elevator was an adventure. Would start with a clunk and a shutter. Everything else is what I have become to expect from La Quinta, good room and good value.

It was great! We went to San diego zoo and to the beach and it was in close proximity to both and good food places too...shopping etc... Nice Continental breakfast and a great stay for the price, I would go again. We have six kids, it was tight but we managed!

I went and chose this La Quinta in San Diego for a 4 night stay due to its location, free parking, free continental breakfast, free wifi, and the price. I have stayed at other La Quintas before, however, this one seemed in need of a few updates. There were no comforters on the beds, more or less just a thin blanket and sheet and the pillows were extremely […] flat. It was nice to have the shower separate from the vanity which made it easy for me and my husband and our friends to get ready. They have an onsite laundry facility which was nice. The continental breakfast was good but very crowded. We had a decent stay for the price we payed. The location was really close to everything which was awesome. This affordable hotel close to downtown San Diego, but on the outskirts in mission valley. Close to the fashion valley mall to catch the trolley for downtown meeting a to avoid traffic and parking fees, my conference was at convention center, was very convenient and short walking distance. I stayed here for a few days before heading to Palm Springs. Located right next to the highway and centrally located so it made it easy to get pretty much anywhere. Hotel staff was very nice and and helpful. My hairdryer in the room died at one point and it was replaced quickly by maintenance. The continental breakfast was great and convenient too.

The stay at La Quinta was overall good. The beds were soft and comfortable. The rate through hotels.com was a good deal. The breakfast offered was a good selection. Juices, cereals, eggs, bagels, yogurt, english muffin, toast, waffles made fresh, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, oatmeal, and more. Very pleased with the stay.

Easy to get to and from, within walking distance or a short hop in the car to several restaurants and two malls. 1) The first room they sent us to was not clean. Resolution: They moved us to a new room, which was ok, other than the bug I spotted crawling on the wall in the middle of the night... and the rust-crusted shower curtain hangers. 2) The "Free Breakfast" hype... I was really glad Denny's was a few blocks away! Talk about an unorganized, overcrowded mess! […] No room at all, a mass of people standing around trying to squeeze in for food, 10+ people standing in line, waiting for their turn at ONE waffle iron! This really bothered me as it was a major factor of choosing the hotel. So not worth it, I marched my family right over to Denny's. 3) The picture on the website, of a nice hillside backdrop... don't be fooled. You are right off the freeway with a major car dealership right out your window. And, lastly, the outdoor hallways... if the room cleaners are their with their carts, good luck trying to maneuver around them, especially if you're pulling a suitcase. However, I will at least say that the staff was friendly. But that's not enough reason for me to stay at that hotel again or recommend it to others ;) :( Read more

The hotel was nice & conveniently located. There was a shopping center nearby & several restaurants in walking distance. The included breakfast was ok but the later in the morning it got, the longer the line got for waffles.

The staff was amazing, the complimentary breakfast was really good with better options than just bagels, coffee & OJ. The room was very clean, comfortable, you can tell it's been recently upgraded. Fridge was a little bigger than the average 'hotel' fridge which is important to me because I keep water, yogurt & stuff in my room to save money on eating […] out. Overall everything was ok. Bonus was the hot tub and pool. Bad part was that eggs and yogurt were availabe only when certain staff was working. Some staff was consistently rude and unhelpful. When we spoke to the front desk about it l, they seemed to not care.

We stayed at LaQuinta for 5 nights. I wish that we would have had the option of telling the housekeeping staff that we didn't need a change of sheets each night. We too are concerned about natural resources--water being a precious commodity in CA and other places. When we needed something [swim towels and an extra chair] the management was very prompt […] in helping us with what we needed. We enjoyed our stay very much. One of the beds had a big dip in it where too many people have laid on it. On our last night after kids were asleep there were people arguing outside and the front desk response was to offer to upgrade us to a suite instead of getting the problem resolved.

We went to San Diego zoo, we had 3 rooms total, every room was so clean, it’s actually surprise me how far this hotel has come. Every room has nice flat screen TV, nice size fridge and a microwave. We all love the pillows, and beds nice and comfy. Laundry facility was a great addition as well. We could not use the pool, because it was bit chilly and […] we had kids with us. Overall experience was great, Felt like we are at home. We were big family continental breakfast helped us a lot. This is not Danish, donut, place; they had fresh fruit, waffles (where you make), cereal, bagels juices, coffee, and tea. Ladies who are working in that breakfast room friendly as well. Guest service wise, I did not like the way we got treated when we were at check in, no info at all, we did ask some questions, fdsk agent looked annoyed. (Later on I found out that, that’s his end of shift). Other than this fdsk agent, every single person my family and I came to contact with was courtiers, friendly, polite. If you call and request something, within 2 to 3 minutes you will have it. When we come to San Diego area, now we have a place call home. Simply love this hotel. Only one thing I have to mention (it was not a big deal), I called and request a crib but front desk agent said, they have only one crib and it’s already rented out. And we had two babies with us. Location was good. Quick drive to airport, beach, downtown, but you definitely need a car. Room was okay, decently clean, comfortable beds, bathroom was small but sufficient. Breakfast was very nice-cereal, fruit, waffles, etc. more than your usual "continental" hotel breakfast. Overall, decent hotel, right for the price; I would stay there again.

The hotel needs a good overhaul, but is ok. The room was small but comfortable and the hotel was in a great location to the highway to get anywhere. Disappointed that our room was not made up one day and the hotel wouldn't do anything about it. I had to clean up the bathroom and make the bed.

Convenient access to I8 and good shopping in the area. Like the fact that there is a garage and elevators. Room and bed was comfortable and Internet access was strong. Both housekeeping and office staff were friendly and efficient. This will be my regular place when I make my visits to San Diego.

The hotel location was very convenient-located right off of Hwy 8 with easy access to both the 163 and the 805. It is right across the highway from Mission Valley Mall so shopping was close by. The next day we were to attend a wedding and again the water was off for the three hours prior to the event. We were informed upon arrival that there was no running water due to a pipe break, but that water would be restored by 6 pm. Staff did their best to keep us informed, however the water was not running again until 9 pm. It was turned off again the following day at 10 a.m. and was not back on until 3 pm (not 12 pm, as promised). Since we were attending […] a wedding at 3pm. this proved to be more than a bit inconvenient. There were bugs in the room, and when the water was restored, there was a leak in the bathroom.
