Park Tahoe Inn - South Lake Tahoe 38.95499, -119.94488

The 5 dollar parking fee really got me. It is not mentioned on this site and it is totally unreasonable to charge fee like this in lake tahoe, like we can ge threes by train or bus! The room does not have tub , just small shower booth. Prob to reduce maintainance and cleaning costs. Probably choose something nicer next time. The quality of hotel was just decent, except temper pedic bed and somewhat spacious room. The road in front of the hotel entrance gets crowded and the little drive-in is really hard to find at night. Neighbors looked nicer. Well I didn't know, but now I and whoever reading this would know!

Located in Heavenly Village and less than a block from the gondola, the location of this hotel was great for our opening weekend ski trip. They let us check into our room a full 3 hours before we were supposed to, and we were pleasantly surprised to hear that we had been given an upgrade to a larger room free of charge. Front desk attendant was very nice and accommodating. The room was on the smaller side, but still well appointed and with plenty of room to move around and throw our snowboard gear. No tub in the bathroom, but a nicely tiled decent size shower was good enough. The king size tempurpedic bed was great to come back to after a long day on the mountain. The TV was not an LCD, but did the trick and had extended basic cable available. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable. Taking into account the great last minute deal we got on the room through hotels.com and the location of the property, couldn't have asked for anything better. For the same price, I would stay here again and again.

Our room had Tempur-Pedic bed. It's one of the best sleeps I had in a very long time. It well worth it.

Not very impressed. This motel does have good location, but not the cleanest or most impressive location. Toilet was clogged upon walking in, shower handle broke, the room was small, hot tub not 24 hours like expected, empty, but no upgrade options, small bathroom, I could go on and on. Luckily Tahoe is beautiful enough to compensate for the motel experience.

Ups: Location (albeit proximity to everything comes with the noise); Relatively clean bed sheets; Downs: Cramped rooms; Old carpet ; Not working phone; Not working internet; Cleverly hidden additional fees; Linens are washed once in three days unless requested(!) otherwise; There was no "do not disturb" sign in our room; Incompetent and inhospitable night attendant. Overall, the place has a feel of a cheap motel pretending to be a luxury inn...

Small room, but comfortable. Would stay there again, especially for the price! Walking distance to everything...great location!

We were not told about the beach pass upon check in, we walked in on a couple because our room was double booked (very embarassing), and the power/circuits were out in the room the next morning and we were unable to use any electronics (ie. blow drier). They offered to waive the parking fee of $5.00 and wanted hotels.com to call them for a $20.00 rebate. it was a terrible experience.

Receptionist staff all very helpful, rooms very clean, shower very good, bed very comfortable, with basic continental breakfast provided. Central location, close to restaurants and bars. Private beach walking distance, very clean and sun loungers to hire.

The website makes the hotel appear to be very nice and in a great location. There was nothing special about the hotel room and it cost way too much for the quality and location. Then when we checked out, the hotel staff tried to charge us for the room again.

Great location - everything within walking distance. Continental breakfast was convenient and good. The room lighting was the only disappointment, definitely needed more light. I will stay here again.

I was a little apprehensive staying at a hotel I had never been to while six months pregnant, and already uncomfortable. I am normally very picky about the hotels I stay at. When we arrived at the hotel, I was relieved. The exterior and lobby were well kept. Our room was very nice, and clean with new interior. The most pleasant amenity was the bed. The advertisement did not mention a Tempur-pedic bed would be in the room. It was by far the most comfortable night of sleep I had during my pregnancy. We plan to return soon!

This room was nice and clean. The bed was great, slept well. However, the continental breakfast lacked enough fruit for the guests, seating was very limited. The bathroom had an updated stall shower but the sink and faucet was older and it dripped - it needed updating. The bathroom door did not latch close and the mini fridge froze our water instead of keeping it cool. So some improvement is needed, but overall it was nice and convenient to everything.

Lake Tahoe Inn is conveniently located near the Heavenly ski lift, and other Lake Tahoe activities, so the location is great. The beds have been upgraded to foam mattresses, which some would find a bonus, but we did not like them. Based on the description, I expected a nicer hotel, but aside from the lobby and breakfast area, this is really a nice motel, with the door and window opening up to the parking lot and outdoor walkways, which is not what we expected. Breakfast was a nice continental breakfast, and the hotel staff was nice, too.

This "motel" has the tempurpedic bed. Very nice. We may buy one now. Great room for the price.

The staff was very helpful and nice; letting us park our car after we checked out. The room and bathroom were adequate, the beds were wonderful!

This was our first expierence with this hotel. The price was great and the room was very clean. We didn't expierence alot of noise and I loved the location. It was right on the main street and close to everything. The breakfast was okay. I love all of the flower baskets on the outside. I would go there again.

The temperpedic beds alone make this hotel worth it. I've never slept in more comfort. The hotel is right across the street from all the happenings in South Lake Tahoe at Heavenly Village. Everything is within walking distance. I got a steal of a deal on our room. The only knocks I have on Park Tahoe is (1) the continental breakfast is rather marginal, but good enough I guess, and (2) the bathroom windows are kinda crappy, and there's no ventilation in them. Other than that, you can't beat Park Tahoe for the price, comfort, and location

only negative: tiny shower (no bathtub), one tiny soap dish tray in shower; everything (shampoo, etc.) had to be placed on the shower floor; great location; front desk helped map out surrounding sites

We stayed at a huge hotel across the street which was really nice, but inconvenient and overpriced. The Park Tahoe was clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. The bathroom was a little hard to get to, but it was clean. After a huge hotel and a large parking charge, it was nice to have your car right outside your room. Location was great.

Conveniently located just blocks from Stateline, casinos, gondola, Heavenly ski resort and the lake. The room was clean and quiet. The shower is very small and could be an issue for a large person. All in all it was a pleasant stay and a good value.

The hotel was in a great location and we got an amazing price on the room. It wasn't the most luxurious, but we felt comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast included was a great plus as well.

Older fixtures, electrical outlets loose, no DVD player or access to movies . Bathroom area cramped, unable to access into bathroom if someone standing at the sink. Very noisy at night, guests fighting in the parking lot at 4.30, reported noise but same again next night. No room service on 2nd day, appeared as though they did not know we were there. Beds very comfortable and lots of hot water

The hotel was OK. It was cold so we turned the heat on and it kicked on and off all night. The bathroom floor was cold too. The shower handle was broke and the foam mattress wasn't very comfortable. There wasn't much left of the breakfast that they offered so we went else where.

The bed was very comfy however the room was small and plain, the heater was loud, the bathroom was small and plain and for the regular rate there is much better to be had for the same price.

The rooms aren't to big, but the comfortable beds make up for it, very pleasant staff and recommend this hotel winter or summer. It was more than worth the price.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, the room clean and well-appointed & the location fabulous. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. This is the best hotel that we have stayed at in South Lake Tahoe, no question! Kudos!

Great location across from Heavenly Village shops and Raleys shopping center. Rooms have Temperpedic mattresses...Very comfy!!

The room is neat, the bed is perfect, customer service is very satisfactory.

Definitely a bargain for what you will pay and get. The location is excellent and the room were nice. The beds were very comfortable and it's right next to restaurants and the Gondola.

I spent one night at this lovely motel located near Heavenly Village, Lake Tahoe, and the Casinos. Great view from our room of pine covered mountains with ski slopes. Jacuzzi felt wonderful and we had a tub with jets in our room that was also nice. Small but pleasant breakfast included. Ask for coupons for your next stay as you check out!

We loved this place! We took our dog as they are pet friendly and very nice! It was right across from the safeway and located very close the casino's.

We stayed there with 2 kids - one infant & one 4 year old. The renovated rooms were good - Very comfortable mattresses (Temperpedic) and overall room was very clean. I particularly liked the wooden fragrance of the room - smelt like a new room. Location is right on the stateline so a lot of activity is a right as you get out of the inn. Overall very satisfied with the 2 Queen beds in the studio type room we stayed in. Would have liked the room size to be slightly bigger. Having a fridge was nice to keep drinks cold and baby milk. The free breakfast is not that great but good if you just want to grab a bagel & coffee and run. We went to the IHOP nearby which was excellent for breakfast.

Room had strong odor of cleaning product. Had to leave the door open in 30 degree weather to air out. Very poor bathroom. Noisy heating/cooling unit so difficult to sleep.
