It was'nt a good stay at all the room was very badly maintained, the toilet was ready to tip over. There were cobwebs in the bath room window the shower and shower door were awful paint marks on the window. The free continental breakfast was supposed to from 7:30 am to 9:00 am I went there at 8:00 am and the door was locked and no food was out. There […] was a night bell said ring if no one was in the office so I did and no one ever came out. It had a 2 star rating and it should be a 1 at best I would never recomend anybody to stay there. Once everything was settled it was fine, however that took about 15 minutes after I got to the front desk. I was greeted by a guy at the counter who confirmed my reservation of a non-smoking room. There was some confusion and he had to get another person who told him what to do. I was given a key and got to my room to find that it REEKED of cigarettes […] and had an ash tray on the table. I went back to the office and was told by yet another person that my reservation had come through as a smoking room and it was up to the discretion of the hotel and due to renovations they didnt have the room I requested. Funny, since the first guy had confirmed a non-smoking room before I said anything at all!!! They fixed it by giving me a non smoking room with 2 beds that they had initially wanted to charge me for. They didn't end up charging me and everything worked out ok but that was certainly not what I wanted to deal with after a long car trip!! Read more

We had plumbing problems that were only partially solved during our stay. The staff was unavailable most of the time and the office remained locked and unstaffed all morning despite the fact they were supposedly serving breakfast inside. We will not be returning.

TV did not work when we got there. No towels when we got there. A light was not working. They got it fixed after we went to diner. The breakfast di not open till 8:45 AM the next day as we where leaving.

They were opened when we arrived and our reservation was there. They were to have a continental breakfast at 7:30 and they did not open until 8:15. The breakfast consisted of orange juice, milk, pre-packaged Svenhard's breakfast rolls which was insufficient for us. The bathrooms had years of water damage. One room had a faulty lock on the bathroom door. The cable and TV were ridiculously old, blurry, and lacked appropriate channels. Truly we needed a place to rest our heads after a family function. That's about what we got. The staff was nice and friendly, but everything else was old and outdated. Sorry!

Sometimes, it's about the trip not the hotel. This was a great trip. We ended up in a handicapped room because they had us in a smoking room on the reservation and the handicapped room was the only one with a queen bed that was non-smoking. It made washing my hair an interesting experience.

Pool was brown and dirty. Breakfast was a joke. Lighst have to warm up in bathroom before they get bright. Neighborhood was less than desireable. Beds were uncomfortable.

The location was very convenient. The hotel was fine. The breakfast was very limited. There was cereal and the desk person poured the milk. There was sometimes fruit and a packaged pastry. There was nothing else except coffee and some juice. I'm surprised that qualified for a continental breakfast.

Greeting and treatment was purely funtional. Does traveling alone make one less welcome? Staff made no mention of the pool or tables in the back. At most motels there the nowhere to sit in the evenings. Just ok.

I enjoyed my stay at Travelodge Santa Rosa location for its cleanliness and pleasant management.This location could be better if had a better breakfast area(they use approximately 8x5 area of their front office) and an allocated business center. Over-all very good value for money.

The room was fairly clean but the fridge was not working, after complaining they kept telling me that it was on auto defrost. If it was auto defrost, it defrosted 12 hours out of the day. The mgr was not helpful at all, they didn't leave packets of coffee for the second day. They are very young owners-managers. We will not stay there again.

From the outside the hotel looks decent and the staff was nice, but the room was hideous. The walls had holes and peeling paper, which would have been tolerable until I saw the horrifying stains on the boxsprings when we peeled back the holey blankets. When I arrived at the hotel the manager said I was in a smoking room. I told them that would not work and that I had requested a non smoking room over 3 weeks prior to stay. Later, they stated that the only non smoking room that they had was the handicapped room and that they needed to charge more for it. Room layout was strange. Bed was smaller than a queen and lumpy. Mirror was old and rusted from behind so you could not see yourself. Mold in grout of tile. Light switches wiggled and gave a feeling as if you would get shocked. We asked the front desk lady directions to Napa and she had no idea what she was talking about. When we got to our room, I literally had to kick the door open because it was jammed. The room was dingy and old, half the lights didn't work. When we got back to the room at night it was very unsafe. People just lurking around the hotel. The Travelodge Santa Rosa was where I was placed when i asked Hotels.com for the cheapest possible room in the county. Although it beat the other places I had stayed by only 10 dollars per night (summer rates) I was more than surprised by what I got. Downtown, but not noisy. Off of the freeway, but never heard the cars. The smell of the room was just awful; stale, musty and the stench of cigaretts kept me hiding under the blankets while I slept, even though I requested a non smoking room. This Hotel is dated and on a busy street. Some renovation is in progress. Continental breakfast was supposed to be served, but no one unlocked the door and would not answer the phone. As we were leaving (after 7:30), someone finally opened the door. We ended up at Denny's across the street.

The room actually had a security list in the room. I had been worn that there was a prostitution ring bust at this motel so I was nervous. The room was quiet at night and I was able to sleep without disturbances. Repairs in the room were shoddy.
