Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island - San Diego

My friend and I enjoyed this hotel so much! I don't think I will ever stay anywhere else. We got the Harbor view side which I highly recommend and it's worth the extra few bucks. It was beautiful!! The view was amazing and the room and bathroom were just the right size for 2 people.

I had a wonderful stay, except for the taxi service around your area. I ordered a taxi which never came, I ordered another taxi which never made it. The shuttle eventually gave me a ride to the airport to catch a cab.. :(

Hotel was great and clean. Building a lil old but rennovations coming along great. Good Hotel for the price of others. Well centralized. Down side is u pay for parking but that with all SD hotels.

Great location near the habor, $21a night for parking outrages!! Service was good called front desk about remote problems replaced within 5 min. Being a Hilton I expected more of a wow factor but instead i got popcorn celing, plus felt like the celing was too low to the ground. I must say it was preatty clean .

What a wonderful view and great walking trail beside the sea! Also enjoyed view of military aircraft and the ships entering and leaving harbor. Bed was too soft for me but I survived!

Our two night stay was very good. We were going for the view of the harbor so that we could watch our boys aircraft carrier come into port at San Diego. The location for that was excellent!!! There is not very many places to eat close by and they are a bit pricey. Luckily we found 1 little deli that was reasonable within walking distance. The stay was ok, however the hotel did not supply enough towels to accompany my party for the two days that I was there. The location was far from interesting. I would prefer the other side of the hotel.Overall the accomodations were satisfactory, and I would stay there again.

Perfect hotel if you need to get to the airport. They have a free shuttle that begins at 4:30am and it only takes about 5 minutes to get to the airport. Clean, nice rooms. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location, well maintained, but $20/nt for parking, and the service was sub-par for a Hilton. Staff seemed bothered by requests and waited over an hour for room service. Luckily there were plenty of options for eating off site.

Although the location is great, the beach/harbor. You can take a walk by the beach too....the ppl asst the front desk is very lackluster..just barely doing their job. Our room phone was broken and we pointed rhat out, they said they'll have someone come up and look but never did. Hotel was fully satisfactory - clean, quiet, helpful staff. Location was wonderful for a nice getway - lovely to walk along Harbor Island, nice restaurants in walking distance, one overlooking harbor and serving champagne Sunday brunch. Also easy drive to all SD destinations. I'll be back!

Pros: close to good restaurants and Gas lamp district, less than a mile away from the airport so very convenient, beautiful view of the harbor from our balcony, room service took 30 minutes to bring food but french fries were very salty so asked for no salt on my food after that and they did accomodate that request. Cons: Pillows were terrible, had […] to have two at least to sleep well, internet was very slow, one business computer to print out boarding pass in main lobby area, pay $21 for parking daily but internet was free. Pros:The balcony on the marina side had a great view of the city and of boats passing by. The room was very comfortable and it was fairly quiet. The room had a couch with a coffee table which was nice for eating. Room service was available as well as free wifi that actually worked pretty well. There was a computer and printer downstairs that was free […] to use which was very convenient for printing out my boarding pass before I left. Great gym. CONS: Unfortunately there was no fridge or microwave, which was kind of a bummer but not a deal breaker. Both times we went to the pool there were no clean towels, and even asking several times for more there was a huge delay. Parking is $21/day which is typical of most hotels in or near downtown San Diego, but it still adds a cost. It did seem like some people were parking across the street and walking over so that might be an idea. Read more

To be honest I was extremely upset with our stay at this Hilton. My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend in San Diego for his birthday weekend and were not able to get into the other hotels that we had been looking at. After calling and explaining what I was looking for this Hilton was recommended. Unfortunately it was nothing that I was looking […] for nor would I have chosen. It would have been great if we had been flying in late and leaving the next morning but that was not the case. Yes it was extremely close to the airport but so close that we were able to hear the planes overhead. The lobby seemed to be going under some sort of renovation, or at least I hope so, because there was nothing to the lobby. The room was comfortable and clean but overall this Hilton was such a disappointment. The location was not ideal either. There was nothing in walking distance and it was pretty isolated from the rest of the area. Also it was a little far from downtown and the rest of attractions. Overall I would not recommend this to anyone besides someone is who flying in late and leaving early the next morning. The price was a high for what we received as well. Read more

We booked this hotel just for fun because we had stayed there 42 years ago on our honeymoon! At that time it was a new hotel and under a different name. The hotel is undergoing renovation, but there was no inconvenience caused by that, and it promises to be fabulous when finished!

I was not given notice that the hotel was undergoing a renovation which detracted from the hotel's ambiance and usability. However, overall, it was a nice hotel for a business trip. It is right near the airport and where my business meeting was taking place. Outstanding hotel; located near the airport with an airport shuttle. Very clean and well maintained. Probably the best fitness center i've ever seen in a hotel. Precor treadmills, elliptical machines and bike. Dumbells, benches exercise and medicine balls with space to use them. 3 of us stayed here as a friend was catching an early flight out of SD airport. Hotel was fine, restaurant food was good, service/cleanliness good. No complaints except that the $21 parking surcharge is a bit cheeky if it's not made obvious at the time of booking.
