The location of the hotel is perfect if you want to be close to Fisherman's Wharf. The hotel is nice. The room on the other hand was a disappointment. This was my second time staying at this hotel and both times I ran into the same problems.... -The Sleep Number did not work -The vending machine 'ate' my money and the hotel would not refund it -The room was hot and the air conditioner worked only some of the time....I could not get a new room because the hotel was booked -The window was broken, causing a loud noise when the wind blew that kept my wife up -The bathroom was gross and dirty -My room was not ready on time and when I requested a late check-out I was denied. Other than that, it was okay.

We, a German family, were very pleased with the rooms - wonderful beds - we slept very well. The location is GREAT, short walking distances to Pier 39, Alcatraz ferry, Exploratorium, Cable car turntable…It would be nice, if the hotel offered breakfast in the morning but besides that everything was perfect.

Parking fee $50 is extra charge! Not included in the booking. Overnight street parking around the hotel is available. Make sure to read the parking signs on the street. The hotel room itsel is so so. The room smells kind of funky due to the moisture in the area. Close to the Wharf.

For a Radisson hotel it was extremely disappointing. The in room lighting was totally unacceptable, very dim, entryway had no lighting at all. There was a mirror in the entryway but you couldn't see in it since there was no light at all. I was also amazed that the hotel did not have a generator to operate the elevators. We were there when there was a power outage due to the bad weather and if you wanted to go outside of the hotel you had to walk down and up three flights of stairs with hotel staff assisting with a flashlight, I feel this is unacceptable when paying the kind of money we paid for a week's stay. Even the check in area had inadequate lighting and in general the hotel lighting was terrible. We will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

Unfriendly lady at the front desk. $49 for parking as a guest!? Hallways smell terrible. We had to put a towel down to seal the crack to keep it out. Water leaks in under doors from outside to hallway so the interior carpet was soggy in some places. The lobby looks nice. Different lady at checkout was nicer, but certainly not friendly by any means. There are other choices in the area. I'll pick one of those.

Maid service opened my door more than once with the Do Not Disturb card on the door--- I had the lock bolt on-- but woke to find the door open which was rude - if not unprofessional. No restaurant or bar in house endless you count the fast food diner that allowed you to enter the hotel courtyard. The front desk staff were really great, knowledgeable & helpful -- but they are doing major construction/remodeling right now -- so if you plan to sleep in -- even on the weekends-- you WILL be awakened by very loud jackhammering & such. The beds were super comfy - but much smaller than they look in the photos. For the price of a weeks stay I expected a little more. I might consider them again after the construction is done-- but I would call first to see where they are at with that!

Visited Fisherman;s Wharf and adjoining stores and restaurants. Alcatraz Tour needs to be booked in advance which fortunately I did 2 months in advance. Walked to Lombard street as well as to the Golden Gate Bridge albeit both being a pretty long walking distance away from the hotel.

San fran had a storm on decemher 11, 2014 and the hotel lost power and hot water for hours and didn't have a backup plan. They didn't notify their guests and their back up generator died.

We arrived a day before the expected storm. The staff was very accommodating and forewarned us of the storm. The next morning we overslept and it took a few minutes to figure out the alarm didn't go off due to a power outage. Interesting experience staying in a hotel with no power. Halls were totally black, rooms very dark in spite of windows, no WiFi to check reports or phones and no elevator. My husband got drenched going across the street to a coffee shack to get us some morning coffee. With limited time in San Francisco it was a challenge to find something to do inside and then confirm they were open. It was an adventure! Power was out most of the day. With that said, our room was nice. The bed was comfortable and room pleasantly decorated. We requested a room that was quiet rather than with a view and can happily say we found it very quiet. The location of this hotel can't be beat. We were a little disappointed we weren't given a discount for all the inconvenience the power outage presented but will know for the future to make sure hotels we book have a generator.

We just didn't have a good experience. We had a 1 year old wth us. They put a crib in the room for is so that was nice. The doors were very loud to open and close. The bath room door was worse. You had to smash it to close and rip it open making loud noises. All this doesn't allow for anyone to stay asleep. It was nice they had sleep number beds but it didn't work properly. They sent up someone to check on it but it still didn't work. My side stayed Rock hard and my wifes side was like a deflated air mattress. Rooms were small as expected in the middle of tourist central. Overall just not impressed.

The concierge and front desk staff were so friendly and helpful and awesome that I can't say enough about them. There was a language issue with the housekeeping staff but nothing too terrible. Again, the front desk and concierge staff were amazing. The construction at the hotel was a little distracting but again nothing too bad. Overall, it was an amazing weekend and I would stay here again if I go back to San Francisco.

If you're looking for a place near Fisherman's Warf, then this hotel meets the requirement. While room was good, clean and comfortable, the hotel doesn't have any services and is frankly understaffed (everything took a wait). More importantly, for the $350/ night they charged, there's no where to eat or get a cup of coffee unless you go to IHOP next door. Had to go across the street to the Sheraton to get a cup of coffee and taxi service in the area is spotty and requires extra time if you plan to go anywhere. However, the free wifi and full cable channels was a nice added touch. All in all, it should be rated about 3.5-3.7.

lobby staff and day managers were top notch, but can't say the same for the penny wise pound stupid senior management that wouldn't even spring for towel bars in the bath rooms. Strictly a cash cow facility (put as little money in, take out as much money as possible). House cleaning crew was very poorly trained. Poor TV selection was worth missing. But most of all, my wife and I had trouble sleeping all four nights because of our allergic reactions to the stench of the room - especially around the bed. If we hadn't prepaid the hotel we would have checked out after the first night. We recommend avoiding this one.

the room was very small. There were two beds in the room. One of the beds was in such a state of disrepair that we were forced to move to another room.the beds were so uncomfortable that each one of the four of us woke up multiple times per night. Even though we had a Do Not Disturb sign in the door card swipe, the cleaning staff still knocked on the door to clean the room. this is a circa 1960's property with a great location. This hotel is old with low ceilings and narrow hallways. While the location is favourable, this property should be torn down and rebuilt.considering the money I spent, I feel there was very little value for this property.

Location was great - for our short stay. Loved the accessibility of hotel. We were able to enter the hotel from various directions of our walk. Our only disappointment was in the bed - it was sort of lopsided and the Sleep Number control did not work. Even with the Thanksgiving holiday - our room was cleaned in a timely manner.

This hotel is in a great location. However, the beds are so uncomfortable that I will never stay there again. We have a sleep number bed at home so we were excited to see they all had them. However, these sleep number beds give sleep number a bad name. They didn't stay aired up, the remotes didn't work correctly. If you are sharing a double bed and one person moved, the other person bounced around. It felt like we were on air bed. Technically we were but these sleep number bed were very uncomfortable. Everything else was decent. Not super nice but ok. And there is no restaurant on site. Breakfast would have been nice.

Just spent 4 days of Thanksgiving weekend here. This is a fabulous location for tourists. My standards for a hotel are rather low, a door that locks, a bed, no vermin. This met all of our criteria. The Room is your basic Hotel room, with a fabulous mural of the GG Bridge. We really enjoyed that! We also had a fantastic view of Alcatraz Island! Loved it. It was clean and quiet. The Wharf can be a rather raucous place at night, but we were not bothered by late night noises. Many places to eat and things to do, just steps away. Also want to mention that we had a room right next to the elevator and we never heard it! Yay! SF is really not all that large and so much is in walking distance with a lot of hills. We had a mobility impaired person with us this trip and the hotel location was great as we could always turn around and come back. We had great use of the pool and the outdoor fireplace. We also spent a fair amount of time in the lobby. We were busy busy busy being tourists. We toured Alcatraz Island. Rode Cable cars and the Cable car museum. Walked all over the place. Ate at lots of places. Boudin's the fabulous Sourdough bread bakery/bistro is very nearby and we had several meals there, couldn't get enough of the bread. Also toured Muir Woods and walked a death march hike. On weekends there is a bus to Muir Woods. so renting a car is not really necessary if you stay at the Radission.

This hotel has a very nice location within fisherman's Warf. Walking distance from pier 39, powel & hyde cable car, ghiradelli, and many restaurants. Sleep number beds leave something to be desired. The hotel is needing updates.

2 out of 4 elevators did not work. Told to park in a back section of lot but doors would not open there. Card keys when issued (3) did not work without going back to front desk each time. Wifi stopped working 2nd evening and no one at hotel could provide assistance. Hotel staff (3 different shifts) told us to call service provider whose phone number was not answered. $49 + tax for parking each night was not on Expedia page until after room was booked and paid for. At that price addition, we never would have selected this bait-n-switch hotel.

We came down for our 38th anniversary and they upgraded our room which was sweet. Everyone was very nice and helpful. I just wish it had had a complimentary continental breakfast.

The location of the hotel can't be beat, it's perfect. But the location of the hotel room is a tricky subject. We were stuck in room 2041 and were right next door to an elevator. It constantly sounded like the terminator was coming through the door. Luckily, it only ran 7am-10pm, but it didn't make sleeping in a little on vacation easy. Once we were settled, it would have been too much of a pain to try to negotiate our way into a new room and then move everything.

Almost everything was wonderful, but there was so much humidity in the room, even with running the AC and the bathroom exhaust fan our towels never dried from one morning to the next.
