The 2 bedroom suite was great for 8 (9 with the 3 yo). The room was great. The kids didn't feel crowded at all (which is rather difficult with 6 that are between the ages of 8 and 19). Worked very good to have one room with six people. Didn't want to spend cash for two rooms at other hotels. Homewood Suites has a very nice size and comfort for the price. The breakfest works for the quick morning person. But, the kitchen area works if you are in for a longer stay.

We prefer to stay in the Northwest region of San Antonio and this hotel is essentially right off of I-10 and close to area shopping and the Fiesta Texas area. However, breakfast is much better than I would have expected with make-your-own waffles, hot eggs, potatoes, sausage and a variety of pastries and cereals. Coffee and tea are available in the lobby 24 hours a day, which is convenient. Our room was very comfortable -- suite style with a pull-out couch and the bedroom had its own TV and ceiling fan. It included a well-known brand's toiletries and a small luscious chocolate awaited us on our bed. Bed and pillows are very comfortable and it was convenient having a kitchenette available for leftovers and late night snacks. Best place to stay in San Antonio!! 1/2 way between Sea World and downtown. Lots of restaurants nearby. Right next to the interstate but you would never know it was there (very quite). Large suite with separate bedroom that has a ceiling fan and lcd tv. More of an apartment feel than a hotel. The staff was very pleasant and maintained a nice comfortable tone eventhough you know they were busy and stressed at times. Another reviewer here stated that they ONLY had a very heavy blanket on the bed and that it was too uncomfortable, either too hot on or too cold off. They accomodated our early arrival to prepare for an event in the afternoon. The room was excellent, there was a full free breakfast, and a dinner time appetizer meal. Despite the number of guests they were very efficicient.

We were just so happy with the room, the fully stocked kitchen and bigger refridge were a huge plus. We always take our chances when renting a room. We never have enough space when the rooms have 2 beds, a small table and 2 chairs. So, when we walked in to the Homewood Suites in San Antonio, we were excited ! The best part was the roomy bathroom vanity […] with drawers for storage. Having the toilet and shower separate, with door for privacy, made it absolutely great for the ladies to work on their hair and makeup while others were showering. The roomy living room with plentl of sitting area was ideal for bringing in take out and saving more money on the trip. Our boys unanimously voted this room the ONLY room we are staying at from now on while in San Antonio. In addition, we plan to look for other Homewood suites on our trips. The internet was dreadful. I know this might not be a big thing, but it is today. I would seriously suggest you upgrade your system to handle the load. The bed was good and I liked the ceiling fan in bedroom. I do not understand why a heavy bedspread/duvet is put on beds in Texas. Just doesn't make sense. The room was not terrible. However, the shower drained very slowly (filled with water while showering) & the toilet, though appearing very clean, smelled badly of dried urine (couldn't figure out why). The kitchenette was not well maintained (buckling laminate flooring, tattered cabinets)

We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Suite was very nice. Spacious! Two tv's so my kids could watch their own shows in a different room. Only complaint...and it is small....was that the elevator was not working when we first got there but they fixed it that day. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there.

We had a great stay here. Our one-bedroom with sofa bed worked out perfectly for our family of four. Maids were super nice and helpful and so was the lady who took care of the breakfast buffet. Everything was refilled regularly so if was always fresh. This hotel is a short drive from downtown -- 10 minutes or so -- and an easy drive from Seaworld. Very friendly to those families visiting patients in the VA hospital there (at least they were to us). Great location. The guy at the reception desk was very professional, solving every single issue we had during our stay. The lady at the breakfast buffet was also great; one day we were late by a few minutes, and she was very accomodating, bringing us stuff from the kitchen she had already stored away --- made us feel at home. Everything was great and beyond expectation except for breakfast. It was ok the first morning but nothing short of stomache turning Sunday morning. Not sure what has to be done but their little grab and go cannot handle a Sunday morning crowd. Luckily, there are many great places to find a wide range of breakfast choices very close by.

We stayed over the Holiday weekend. This is close to alot of nice places to eat. Also easy to get to all the attractions. The room was very nice and roomy. Breakfast was good every morning. They had a little different things to eat everyday. The only thing wrong was power went out on one of the days and the back stairs does not have security lights […] in it at all. The staff was very friendly. The maid service was wonderful and the accomodations were incredible. The suites were comfortable and had plenty of room. Stayed at the hotel because of a wedding. I had four kids and my mother staying and we were very comfortable in the suite. Breakfast was great and it was very easy to find. Would tell anyone going there to stay here. You are able to cook your own meals and it does not cost much more than hotels that have no kitchens in them.
