Travelodge Orlando Downtown Centroplex - Orlando

A basic room and not recently updated with new furniture or bedding. The location is phenomenal for the cost if you want to have fun downtown.

I typically take reviews with a grain of salt especially on cheap hotels because you get what you pay for, and when I book a cheap hotel, I don't expect much. The only good things about this hotel were the proximity to the Amway Center and the desk clerk, Michael. (I believe that was his name.) He was very helpful when we checked in, and the hotel was […] an easy walk to the concert. However, The sheets on one bed were so thin, I could read that the pillows at one time were presumably firm because I could clearly see the word "firm" printed on the now decidedly not firm pillow. The sheets on the other bed were stained as was one of the bath towels and the tub. I would not stay here again unless I brought my own sheets, pillows, towels, and flip flops for the shower! The carpet was old, stained and pulling up from the floor. The bathroom shower very small. Shower curtain stained and old. Shower stall had really old tile, also stained. Glad I didn't have to take a shower. The bed was comfortable. Room very small. Had a small table with 2 chairs that were old and uncomfortable.

The facilities have obviously seen better days but the desk clerk was very helpful and provided services in a quick and friendly manner. We stayed 4 nights looking at properties in the area, otherwise there was not much to do within walking distance.

The hotel is worn and tattered. We were surprised to find 5 five large roaches on the walls when we returned from an evening event. Walls seem to have been repaired for water damage in the bathroom. Poor repairs and rot on the bottom of door jam. Pillows very flat.

You can't beat the location of this hotel, just a few blocks walk to down town. It is old and in need of lots of repair and cleaning but for one night it's not a bad deal.

This hotel needs a L O T of TLC. The walls are too thin with not enough insulation in them to mute the noise of neighboring revelers, making sleep quite difficult. Coffee and vending / ice machine is available off of the lobby or walk next door to the City Diner – be sure to wear shirt & shoes or you’ll be asked to leave. The toiletries seem to be hit […] & miss, as does the functionality of the A/C units – the one in my room was cranked all the way down and barely managed to cool the room while soaking the carpet in the process. The balconies were nice and assisted in keeping the smell of cigarette smoke from over-powering. The staff was cordially friendly, the rooms adequate for our needs. (Attending a local concert) Proximity to Tinker Field was not as close as first thought, but still walk able – although not suggested after dark due to the neighborhoods you need to pass through. While I may be willing to stay at this establishment again, I would not recommend it to anyone used to more refined surroundings. Read more

The staff was friendly and accommodating but the property is in need of a complete gut and rehab. The shower faucets dripped, the walls were cracking and the bathroom door rusted. The adage "you get what you pay for" is still alive and well. If you need a place to crash for the night close to downtown, this place will do but be prepared for funky smells, strange noises and keeping one eye out on the parking lot to check on your car. I'd say spend the extra 30 bucks and get a decent room.

This is an old hotel, but it is close to the bus station and downtown and it is inexpensive. It was quiet and close to Lake Eola. The bathrooms and carpet really need to be updated but the beds are comfortable. The people at the desk are super friendly and helpful.

This is a decent place to stay considering the low rates. Don't expect luxury, but it is definitely a very friendly front desk staff with great knowledge of the local are for restaurants, attractions, etc. Clean room, good A/C, sufficient parking.

Found the room to be comfortable. Had an issue with a dripping shower head, and a running toilet. The paint and plaster is coming off the wall in the bathroom due to moisture. We found the location to be good for our needs.
