Original room had a great view of air conditioning equipment - unable to see the street. Staff later found an acceptable room that was quite nice. In the middle of the night I called the front desk to complain about teenagers congregating across the street from the hotel and making noise. The hotel is in a great French Quarter location. The staff was really friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, and there is a nice outdoor courtyard and pool. Overall, it was an easy place to stay to have a great New Orleans weekend.

Stay was fabulous. We had 2 adults and 2 children and the room was great. Clean, efficient and the kids loved the pool. Close to Canal Street and Café Du Monde within walking distance. Breakfast was good. We would stay there again. Price was very reasonable for New Orleans.

Ignore the rooms shown on the website. We booked a King Suite and ended up with a tiny room as the picture on the website misrepresents what's available. In fact, there's only one room in the entire hotel that looks like the picture on the website, and despite paying the price, it was already booked. Quite disappointing. The Maison Dupuy is a beautiful, well kept hotel in a great section of the New Orleans French Quarter. It's on a quiet block, but a very short walk to everything. The courtyard is beautiful and the outdoor pool is one you can actually enjoy. The bed was extremely comfortable. Every staff member we met was very nice, capable, and informative. Was close to Bourbon Street, Steamboat Natchez cruise and the Market by the river. Room was clean and comfy, although rather cramped with the large dresser at the foot of the bed. The Bistreaux had great food. Valet service was great too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay in this Hotel. The meeting was at the Convention Center, but we were glad we stayed here, it was a nice walk everyday. Also the neighbourhood is quiet, but still close to the downtown area. Restaurant is excellent, my recommendation: try the Pasta Jambalaya with the creamy sauce, best one I have ever had! Within 5 minute walk to Jackson square. Booked 2 rooms and the hotel gave us adjacent rooms with a shared private balcony, which was great. Swam in the pool. Great full breakfast. Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay here again.

The Maison DuPuy Hotel was comfortable, very safe, clean and conveniently off the highway. We chose a small room without a balcony as we were there for only 2 nights and 1 full day and would be out exploring most of the time; for a longer stay you may want to opt for a room with a balcony. The hotel is beautiful, clean and has an attached restaurant. […] The restaurant and room service menu is a bit pricey but pretty much the standard of a nice hotel. It was nice to have the option of going to a small cafe around the corner for breakfast and ending the evening in the hotel restaurant for an after dinner drink; one evening we sat at the bar and listened to some wonderful acoustic guitar. The valet service is reasonable considering your car will be in a safe place and that everything is within walking distance. You are at the edge of the French Quarter and away from any noise as the evening progresses. Go to Bourbon Street early and leave by 8 or 9pm unless you like the loud rock music and the carnival atmosphere. Read more

The hotel room was clean and the breakfast was of good quality. The pool was supposedly heated, but we found it too cold to enjoy. Great hotel that's slightly off the beaten path - close to two cemeteries, walking distance to Jackson Square and Lafitte's! Far away from Bourbon and the less expensive, big chain hotels that attract convention goers and frat boys. Standard rooms are tight, but relatively comfortable. The Maison Dupuy was a lovely hotel in the French Quarter, a beautiful historical building that has been well kept. The staff was very friendly and greeted us upon entry and was helpful every step of the way. The room we stayed in was actually next door to a large suite and so it was a little cramped on our side, but good enough for two people. The hotel services was great and very efficient. We needed a one night stay on a Saturday. Was able to check-in a little early. The location is close to most of what's happening and we were able to visit places, see the parade, take a tour without having to drive around.

I'm a crazy spirit with colorful hair and so I'm used to the cold shoulder when I'm staying somewhere. I feel the management was very courteous but a little fake. I loved the room, though!!! WOW! Bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in at a hotel and the view from the rooms is magnificent. You're walking distance to everything awesome in the […] French Quarter and also from St. Louis Cemetery #1. Eat somewhere else if you want to save a little money and enjoy the authenticity of the city. Their buffet was good in comparison to other hotels but $16.99 - Yikes! They have a nice gym on site with fresh apples for you to enjoy and the pool is crazy cool. The hotel itself is lovely, but like many hotels in New Orleans, the rooms are very small. The bathroom was pretty tight, and the bed filled most of the room, but we did have a very pretty balcony. We were just there for a night, so we had a small overnight bag, but the room and closet are definitely not big enough to open up a real suitcase. Our room was very nice, however, you can tell this is an old hotel, which we knew when we made our reservation. The room had been freshly painted, which we could tell by the smell in the room, the paint smell combined with a musty smell made it slightly unpleasant. The bathroom was a combination of new (sink) with old (tub and shower). The bathroom […] door did not open or close easily, I am assuming due to paint because every time we opened the door or shut the door paint chips would fall off. Also, opening and closing the bathroom door caused black flecks of something to fall into the bathtub. All that being said, we would still stay here again. I want to start with the positives. A very quick a brief walk to any of the French Quarter's attractions, the location of this hotel is great. It's a bit more on the outskirts of the FQ, but if you're looking for a place that's quieter, it's a small price to pay to walk a few extra minutes (will help you work off some of the calories from the local […] cuisine). The staff was polite and professional. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Now on to the negatives. We paid a very high price for the room and am not satisfied with what we got in return (comparing this against other hotels where we've paid the same or less, and gotten much more back). The A/C system was a bit finicky. The fixtures in the bathroom were rusty. And there were holes in the curtains. The attached French Quarter Bistreaux and Bar served an expensive breakfast buffet with dried out scrambled eggs. In summary, I can't justify making this hotel a place for repeat business. Read more
