Expedia has the address incorrect in the database. I used the address and circled for a while before finding the place. Expedia need to correct the address. The A/C unit was too small and the room never cooled well...hence the rest was not good.

This hotel is simply ok since location is not the best for business (not close to downtown in traffic) and just right in terms of amenities. I need to say that people in front desk were very kind. Breakfast also ok for a quick day start. I would prefer to stay closer to downtown. Exceptional staff from the housekeepers to the manager. Room very clean, nice pillows, yes. Bed ok. Very quiet. Great location. Pool very warm and nice. Breakfast very unfortunately is standard mediocre fare. Nice guests.

The room was okay but the common areas of the hotel were a mess. The bed was a typical hotel bed, way past it's good days. The staff were friendly although not the most professional. I think we'll look elsewhere next time we go to Calgary.

The hotel has a great location and price if you are wanting to save money. The hotel still has some smoking rooms and even though we stayed in a non smoking room I still felt like there was someone in the corner smoking. The room did need some updating

We were able to get to all palces that we needed to and found the location easy to retrun to. The kids enjoyed the pool and the ground level access as nice, we felt secure in the city.

Super dirty carpets throughout, bed was broken, absolutely no upgrades in last 40 yrs by the countertops, decor and look in general. The heater noise kept us up all night and when we did drift off the sqeecking hand rail and stairs down the hall woke us again as people came in and out. Very noisy!!! Television was most basic I've ever seen for channel […] options. For $100 / night it was horrendous and should be about $60 with a big warning. The room was ok, but it was very hot. There was an air conditioner trying to put out some cool air, but it was not very cool. Location was good as we walked to the LTR at Chinook and took to and from the Saddledome.

Front desk staff very nice, and call after you are settled into your room to make sure all is good. Older hotel that has many upgrades, but not all, but good value for the price of the room. Concrete walls made for a quiet room despite the busy street it is on. I am usually a poor sleeper waking with noises from the street and from neighbors in hotels […] but not the case here. Bed was worn out and air conditioner was extremely noisy. Breakfast room was not as clean as it should have been and equipment was not all working properly. (Windows needed cleaning.)

Rooms are somewhat "worn" but clean and comfortable. Having a mirrored nook outside of bathroom is a good idea. We enjoyed the good sized, heated salt water pool. We never tried the breakfast opting instead for the Denny's across the street.

We were just stopping for the night and didn't want to spend alot of money so we didn't have high expectations. My main complaint was that our key card failed to work several times and I had to go back downstairs to get help from the receptionist. My sister and I travelled almost 1200 km from Manitoba to Calgary to attend our uncle's funeral. The service was at 2:30 and hotel checkout time was 11:00. When I inquired about a later checkout time the only options were for a 2 hour extension for $50per room or to pay for another night. This type of inflexible approach is off-putting. The hotel was […] displaying a "no vacancy" sign when we arrived at 9:00pm the previous night and I am skeptical about the hotel's ability to clean each and every room between the stated 11:00am checkout time and the 1:00pm departure time that we had requested to facilitate our attendance at the funeral without having to spend too long in the clothes we were planning to wear. I found the front-desk personnel completely unwilling to to display any flexibility or understanding of the situation. For this reason I would definitely not recommend this hotel to a friend. When we arrived I asked to use the toilet. the older female staff member refused saying there were no public toilets. When booked in the older female member of staff gave the younger member of staff a telling off in front of us. The room coffee machines do not have any tea with them only coffee or Earl grey! I have stayed here before many years ago […] and I must say that the standard as dropped. The breakfast is free and because it is, one can not really complain of its complete lack off British breakfast items. Only pasteries, yogut and bread! Over the road is the Chinook Mall. Plenty of restaurants next door and nearby. The LRT within walking distance. Personally, only the cheap price and location would I stay there again. Read more
