I know this general area of LA isn't the best but by spending this amount of money I would have expected a little more space and cleanliness to the rooms. Not to mention better staffing in the middle of the night to handle noise complaints!! super thin walls combined with this being not too far from clubs and such on a sat night, made for an interesting evening of entertainment from surrounding rooms. No one answered at front desk to handle noise complaints!

Modest motel, could use some improvements. It was competitively priced for downtown LA.

It was just perfect for us. The room was kinda small but it serves it's purpose. The fridge & the microwave came in handy for the food we brought with us. The bathroom was ok -- some touch up needed on the wallpaper and wall painting needed. The Cable TV programs was nice, better than Vegas - They have a cable box with a lot of channel line-up. I didn't use the Continental breakfast - we always woke up late. There's a Wendy's close by and a McDonald's further down South. Overall it was a good stay.

I stayed at this hotel with my two kids. The location is great because it is only 5 minutes from Grumans Chinese theater and 5 minutes from the Griffith observatory, and only 15 minutes from Dodger stadium, on the other hand the hotel is right next to the children's hospital so you do hear the helicopter at a few times a night. The parking lot is clean and well lit at night. I felt very comfortable with my car being in their parking lot. It is very obvious that they make an effort to keep the rooms clean. The rooms were very well cleaned and the sheets were also very soft. I would stay at this hotel again because of the closeness to everything and because if you go south on Vermont, there are tons of restaurants and lots of taco shops, and L.A. has the best taco shops. This is not a luxury hotel, but it is perfect if your going to be out on the town all day and only use it for a place to sleep.

This is a budget motel in Hollywood, which can be a dicey neighborhood. I wasn't expecting such a clean room, with furniture, walls, etc... in excellent condition. The room was nice, comfy and pretty quiet. Best of all was the staff. I dealt mostly with the front desk staff, who were extremely professional, polite and helpful. As I was leaving, though, I overheard a family from Germany discussing the upcoming Cinco de Mayo celebration with one of the maintenance staff, and he was also being extremely friendly and helpful. The channels on the TV was even better, they have more channels to watch than them other hotels that offers limited channels! There was plenty of parking on the hotel lot, so it was never full. This hotel was a rare find considering the rate and location. Of course no hotel is perfect, but once you get past the iron tethered to the ironing board with a telephone chord, you'll realize it's a really nice hotel - well worth its value; especially for its location. The rooms were very clean and everything worked well. There are only two minor issues I didn't expect: parking isn't the most convenient, and the continental breakfast is more of pre-packaged, store-bought sweets, bananas and apples, and two types of juices in the manager's office. One more thing - the hotel is right next to two hospitals - one with a helipad.
