We would definitely stay here again! The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The location was great- it was quiet, being at the north end of Lombard street off of the main and much louder portion of that street. We enjoyed walking through the Presidio- which is only a block north of the hotel. We had no trouble finding good restaurants within blocks. […] Picking up the bus to head to other parts of town was also easy and convenient. We were only visiting San Francisco briefly on this trip- our main destination was further north. I would definitely come back for a longer visit to further explore the city with my family and would definitely stay here! Beds & climate control were comfy. Breakfast was ok for a light bite. We ate at a nearby cafe. Rooms were modest in size but sufficient if your goal is to be out in the city and have a safe, affordable, comfy place to sleep at night. The rooms are small and infrastructure old, but they pack as much into those rooms as possible. The water pressure in the shower is great. I went for super bowl weeks great location one bus to fishermans wrath. Few minutes at most five by car from golden gate. Staff very friendly. Pizza and liquor store twenty steps away. Everything within walking distance. Overall very pleased. FREE PARKING WIFI CONTENINTAL BREAKFAST.

Absolutely fantastic! I was expecting a... well... Travelodge experience. Instead, I found a lovely little motel with a fantastic staff, immaculately clean, all the upgrades you'd find in a more pricey hotel (they even had makeup remove clothes in the bathroom), in a beautiful part of town. There is a school next door, so if you're looking to sleep […] in during a weekday be warned there is the noise of kids playing, but I heard no noise at night which is when I cared about silence. This will be my new "go to" whenever I'm in San Francisco. Read more

Location was perfect - away from traffic and crowds but convenient to public transportation - just outside the Presidio, 2 blocks from the Palace of Fine Arts, great breakfast and other neighborhood restaurants a short walk away (though hotel does have free continental breakfast) . Staff was very helpful. It is an old motel, but decently maintained […] and the bed was comfortable. There is no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, ask for ground floor. The fact that parking was free is why I chose the hotel instead of one closer to the wharf area - it turned out to be a great decision. Read more

Great to find such a nice hotel with free parking in SF. The staff was friendly too. Close to where we needed to be for business meeting, but in the evening we took a Towne car to get to and from Fisherman's Wharf. Will definitely stay here again.

Staff are very friendly and helpfull. They even had complimentary tea & cookies in the afternoons, which was a surprise to the kids! Breakfast is basic, but fine. Free printing facilities was also nice Bathroom a bit small, but not really something to complain about. No laundry facility. We enjoyed our stay at the Travelodge.

The staff is very helpful. The location of the hotel is not close to the Fisherman's Wharf, which is the most touristic zone of the city, but it only takes about 10 minutes to get there. There are plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel and it is nice to walk around by the Palace of the Fine Arts, the Presidio Park and to the beach with view to the Golden […] Gate bridge. I like that the parking and internet is free. Also, you get a free small braksfast with cereal, croissants, coffee, muffins and some fruits. The rooms are big enough and very clean. Clean room. Great staff. Very comfortable lounge downstairs with cookies, etc. Free parking. Only downsides -- room is a little small, lounge is small, and the parking lot does not have enough spaces (although usually the streets around the hotel are fine). Oh, and great neighborhood. About 10 minutes to Civic Center BART, etc.

When we entered the room it was freezing and the heat was not working properly, we had to call the office and they had to walk us through their confusing heat set up with a thermostat that did not work corectly. When we were able to get the heat on the curtains that were above the unit, giving the only privacy for the room kept flying up because of […] the fan from the heater. Next the TV did not work, again we had to call the office and the person on the night shift had to come up to the room. She found the electric eye for the remote on the floor behind the wall of furniture and had to pick up the set it in the correct place for it to work. She said the person who cleans the room does this often and we should cement it down as we cement the TV's. There was no coffee or cups to make coffee, but they did supply a small coffee pot and sugar and stirrers. The bathroom was freezing especially the floor tiles which felt like you were walking on ice. We had to put the towels on the floor so we could not touch the floor tiles just to use the bathroom, which we tried to spend as little time in there as possible. The bathroom had peeling paint and needs to be completely remodeled. I want to mention that the people working the night shift were nice enough to come up and address some of the problems the we had, and fix the TV, and tell us about the heat. But, on the other hand, there were things wrong with the room that couldn't be fixed like the freezing bathroom with the cold floor and the curtains flying around when the heat is turned on. We were welcomed by Niki and our every need met immediately. The hotel was very clean, the room was small but met our needs perfectly. The room has a mini frig and Niki brought us a microwave. He spent 10 minutes going over a map of the city with us and highlighting all of the relevant bus routes. The room was clean, though a little bit small.
